Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The Queen of England—Alice

Central Hall, Underground Research Institute, Raccoon City.

Three factions were engaged in a tense standoff here.

In the center were Leon, tightly gripping his pistol, and Ada, clad in red.

To the left was a five-member foreign Reincarnators team.

Their shared target was the silver briefcase in Annette's hands ahead.

After the t-virus underwent uncontrollable mutations, Annette knew the situation had spiraled beyond her control.

William's continuously evolving body, even to her, inspired fear. The only option now was to activate the lab's self-destruct system and find a way to completely destroy the g-virus, preventing these outsiders from obtaining it.

Ada glanced at the fully armed team on the other side. She didn't act immediately; this group gave her an uneasy feeling.

Whoever made the first move wouldn't come to a good end.

Just as the tension peaked, a set of footsteps froze everyone in place.

Each footstep caused a slight tremor in the ground, piercingly clear in the tense atmosphere.

Everyone whipped their heads around, eyes filled with vigilance.

From the shadows of the corridor, a massive figure, almost blocking the entire entrance, slowly approached.

It was a Tyrant, but unlike any model they had ever known!

It stood nearly four meters tall. Its original grey trench coat was torn open, revealing thick, Exoskeleton-like biological armor underneath.

Its muscles bulged to a grotesque degree, its exposed skin a dark red, covered with thick black blood vessels.

Most unsettling of all, perched upon this mutated Tyrant's broad shoulder was a petite human figure.

She was wrapped in a large black cloak, her hood concealing her face, revealing only a small chin and a faint, enigmatic smile at the corner of her lips.

One of her bare feet lightly tapped against the Tyrant's cold biological armor. Her posture was leisurely, as if sitting on a park bench, creating an extreme contrast with the monster radiating destruction beneath her.

"What... what the hell is that?!"

A Reincarnator team member exclaimed involuntarily, his gun muzzle lifting on its own.

Leon and Ada's pupils also contracted sharply. Having survived Tyrant pursuits, they knew their terror, but this controlled mutant before them, in both size and aura, completely surpassed their understanding.

The girl sitting on the Tyrant's shoulder seemed oblivious to the stunned gazes below.

Her gaze swept past the others, landing directly on Annette and the case in her hands.

At that very moment, another mutation occurred!

The shattered metal floor below exploded open!

A massive monster covered in eyes, with four arms, smashed through the metal floor and climbed up from below.

And it was William.

G-William

By now, it had completely lost its humanity, becoming a monster driven solely by slaughter.

Its gaze locked onto everyone present, the monster charged directly at the nearest Tyrant.

As the distance closed, just as G-William's massive claw was about to strike, the mutated Tyrant moved!

It didn't even bother to set down the girl on its shoulder. Its massive arm, encased in white biological armor, shot out like lightning. Its five fingers, like steel pincers, brutally and precisely grabbed the core area of G-William's mutated head!

"ROAR—!!"

G-William let out a pained howl, struggling madly. Its tentacle-like limbs whipped against the Tyrant's body with dull thuds, but the Tyrant remained unmoved.

The mutated Tyrant's arm muscles bulged, lifting the several-ton G-William off the ground as if it were a chick. Then, under everyone's stunned gazes, it slammed G-William hard into a nearby concrete support pillar!

"BOOM!!!"

Debris flew, and a huge crack appeared in the support pillar.

G-William's body was deeply embedded within it, the sounds of shattering bones echoing.

But it wasn't over. The mutated Tyrant took a step forward, raised its foot—comparable to a battering ram—and stomped down fiercely on G-William's mangled remains embedded in the wall!

"SPLAT—!"

Fluids, bone fragments, and mutated tissue splattered everywhere.

G-William's roar was abruptly cut off. Under that stomp, its body was almost flattened into a pulp.

Instant kill!

Absolute, overwhelming violence!

Dead silence filled the hall.

Leon's palm holding the gun was slick with cold sweat; Ada's breathing hitched slightly.

The foreign Reincarnators team turned pale, their weapons trembling slightly in their hands.

Only by truly facing G-William could one understand its horror—far beyond what any game depicted. Yet, unexpectedly, a boss as formidable as G-William had been instantly killed.

The girl looked at the crowd. She leaped down from the Tyrant's shoulder, landing without a sound.

Ignoring the frozen atmosphere, she walked straight towards Annette, who was paralyzed with fear on the ground. She bent down and gently took the silver sample case from Annette's rigid hands.

Her movements were as natural as retrieving her own belongings.

Only then did the leader of the Reincarnators team, a middle-aged man with brown hair, seem to snap out of his extreme shock.

He stared intently at the partially visible side of the girl's face beneath her hood and the wavy blonde hair peeking from its edge. A name that made him tremble surfaced in his mind.

"A... Alice-sama?"

His voice was hoarse, filled with disbelief, awe, and fear.

Hearing this, the other team members also shuddered, their gazes towards the girl instantly filling with reverence.

Alice was England's only Hunter possessing an SSS-Level Talent. However, she wasn't a pure-blooded Englishwoman; she had half English and half Dragon Country heritage.

And her name, Alice, sounded more like a Dragon Country name.

Her talent allowed her to construct dreams that invaded reality, controlling hearts and fear.

She was the true ruler of England in the present day, the real queen!

Alice tilted her head slightly. Her gaze beneath the hood seemed to glance at them, devoid of any warmth.

"Leave."

She spoke only two words, her voice clear and brooking no argument.

Hearing this, the team didn't hesitate. Without even bothering with Leon and Ada, they immediately retreated at top speed along their original path, disappearing into the corridor's end.

They knew that in the presence of this being, staying an extra second was dangerous.

Leon and Ada exchanged a glance, seeing extreme gravity in each other's eyes.

This suddenly appearing girl was more mysterious and dangerous than G-William or any bioweapon.

But they had no way out.

Just as the two were about to act, an invisible force sent Leon and Ada flying backward, slamming them into a distant wall.

"Leave now, and you might still live."

Alice didn't even glance at them, merely stating this flatly.

Carrying the case, she turned and walked towards the pulped remains of G-William.

She knew that for the g-virus, this level of physical destruction couldn't truly kill it; instead, it was a catalyst for its evolution.

Alice crouched down. Her pale finger lightly pointed in the air above the still stubbornly writhing mass of flesh.

A faint, almost imperceptible pink light seeped from her fingertip into it.

This wasn't healing, nor was it an attack.

It was a deeper deception, deceiving the g-virus itself.

To construct an enemy for it, an enemy it could never surpass.

And this enemy... Remembering the massive, brutal figure from the tall building earlier, a smile touched Alice's lips.

In this endlessly looping nightmare, as long as the physical power consolidated by the g-virus didn't surpass the one in the illusion, it would be mercilessly killed, torn apart, and devoured by that phantom, time and again.

Each death was a brutal squeeze and stimulation of the g-virus's limits.

Its survival instinct and evolutionary desire would be pushed to the extreme by this endless death race.

Thus, in reality, it would also frantically absorb all usable genetic material and energy, undergoing hyper-speed, hyper-limited mutation!

This was a terrifying ability that used dreams to directly deceive and drive the fundamental evolutionary mechanisms of life.

"Grow quickly,"

Alice whispered, her voice carrying a hint of anticipation.

"Let me see how far you can evolve under its pressure."

Money, money, everyone take it
