Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: Apocalypse's Plan

Walking out of the cave entrance, Lilith conveniently collected the two bloodline eggs, her voice remaining flat as usual.

William turned around at the sound.

When he saw Lilith after her change of clothes, he was stunned once again.

The black and red Gothic dress fit her petite frame perfectly, and the fluffy hemline made her look even more exquisite.

Her snow-white long hair formed a sharp contrast with the deep color of the dress, and her ruby-like eyes appeared even brighter and sharper against the black tones.

The dress did not weaken her aura; instead, it strangely fused her delicate appearance with her inner coldness, creating a unique temperament that was mysterious, detached, and carried a hint of dangerous charm.

She looked like a loli queen who had stepped out of a dark fairy tale, governing some kind of forbidden power.

William stared for several seconds before finding his voice. He subconsciously sighed in admiration.

"Leader, you look very cute dressed like this."

As soon as the words left his mouth, William froze instantly, and cold sweat immediately began to pour down.

Damn it! How could he say what he was thinking out loud! This was simply an affront to the leader's dignity!

William waited anxiously for a possible punishment.

Lilith just raised those ruby eyes and gave him a cold glance.

There was no anger in that look; it was more like a bored indifference that said she heard him.

"Let's go. To the base."

Lilith set off, her bare feet stepping on the rough ground with steady strides; she had not put on the shoes William had given her.

To her, shoes felt more like a restraint. If her soles couldn't touch the ground, she couldn't sense her surroundings, which made Lilith, who possessed animal instincts, very uncomfortable.

After putting them halfway on, she simply threw them away. Oh! And those socks were thrown into the cave along with them.

William breathed a sigh of relief and hurried to follow, though his heart was still in turmoil.

He looked at the petite but straight back in front of him, watching the snow-white long hair and black hemline swaying slightly with her steps.

The supreme leader of Apocalypse, the SSS-Rank Hunter who made countless powerful enemies tremble... her human form was actually a 1.3-meter-tall girl with white hair and red eyes.

This world was indeed more surreal than the Main God Game itself.

He shook his head, shaking off his messy thoughts, and quickened his pace to lead the way for Lilith.

William stayed half a step behind Lilith, reporting the recent internal and external affairs of Apocalypse, as well as his own plans, in a steady tone and organized manner.

Lilith listened quietly, occasionally nodding or letting out a soft "mm" to show she understood.

William's layout was more thorough than she had expected, and various emergency measures were perfectly in place, making Apocalypse the party that stood to gain the most.

The most direct point was using information disparity and psychological warfare to lure potential enemies into their own main battlefield.

That way, they only needed to wait for her to take action and wipe them all out, allowing them to reasonably loot their Points.

Although it was risky, for her current self, she only needed to be careful of that small portion of human thermal weapons.

With a constitution over two hundred, ordinary bombs could no longer threaten her.

As for those that could threaten her, Lilith was confident she could evade them before being hit.

As long as she wasn't hit head-on, she could ignore a large number of thermal weapons, unless it was a wide-area nuclear bomb.

But as for nuclear bombs, it was unclear if they could even be launched currently; even if they could, America wouldn't use them on its own soil.

That is a country's final bottom line. If that bottom line is abandoned, then whoever holds such a weapon of mass destruction will become the first target to be dealt with.

No one wants a sharp sword hanging over their head.

"The plan is fine, just do as you said."

Lilith's voice was crisp but carried a hint of childishness; if one ignored her tone, she sounded just like a child.

"However, following me in your current capacity is too conspicuous and not conducive to the execution of the plan."

William was slightly taken aback, then immediately understood.

As the public leader of Apocalypse, following behind a strange little girl at this moment would indeed easily trigger unnecessary speculation and might even cause cracks in the ongoing plan.

"Understood."

William responded in a low voice and quickly purchased a simple black half-face mask from the Main God Mall to wear, covering the area above the bridge of his nose and leaving only his cold, hard jawline exposed.

William's temperament instantly became low-key and mysterious, giving off the feeling of a silent guard or butler.

Lilith nodded. Besides this point, there was a second reason for having William hide his identity.

Glancing at the overly exquisite Gothic dress she was wearing and this body that was so petite she had to look up at adults, a trace of inexplicable emotion was suppressed.

At least, before she fully adapted to this human form, she didn't plan to make an official appearance as the leader.

William, of course, realized this as well.

If it were before, he would have definitely gathered all the core members of Apocalypse to introduce the true leader of Apocalypse.

But now, well, setting aside that the leader's current appearance didn't have much deterrent power and was actually somewhat 'foul' in its cuteness...

Based on the fact that the leader had Fenrir pass a message to him earlier, William had some guesses in his heart.

The reason the leader had Fenrir pass the message was most likely because she didn't want others to know her true appearance, which led to a subconscious decision.

After all, there was no need for the leader to have Fenrir notify him; she could have completely told him through the chat.

So, the leader likely found the matter of her height hard to talk about and didn't want more people to know.

In addition, the current plan was already underway, so there could be no mistakes.

The time for the leader to truly reveal her identity would be when it was time to close the net.

The two walked into a relatively prosperous street within the Apocalypse control zone and finally entered a well-decorated restaurant.

William's disguise was very successful; no one recognized that this tall man in a mask was the leader of Apocalypse.

But Lilith, walking in front of him, instantly attracted almost everyone's attention.

Silver hair, red eyes, features as exquisite as a doll's, and a Gothic dress that was both mysterious and carried a sense of the forbidden in its black and red color scheme.

In this Main God Game world filled with blood, power, and chaos, such a combination was like a strange and delicate flower blooming in the mud, full of discordant attraction and danger signals.

Whispers broke out throughout the restaurant.

"Where did this little princess come from? Her temperament doesn't seem like an ordinary person's..."

"The masked guy behind her looks like he's not to be trifled with..."

"Could she be the daughter of some big faction leader? Why did she come to Apocalypse's territory?"

"She looks really... tsk, in this kind of world, that's not a good thing."

Lilith turned a deaf ear to the surrounding gazes and discussions. She walked straight to an empty table by the window, hopped up easily, and sat on the chair.

I generated a picture of the adult Lilith. I will put the full version of this image in the comments section. If you want to use it as a wallpaper, you can click to take it. There is also a loli version.
