Cherreads

Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Sugar Mommy

The sun was just beginning to peek through the blinds of the studio apartment.

Natasha was still lying in Sam's arms, but she wasn't sleeping anymore.

She was quiet, her head resting on his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat.

She felt a strange energy moving through her body.

It was warm and sweet, like the scent of cherry blossoms. She knew she couldn't hide anymore. Not from him.

"Sam,"

She whispered.

She sat up slowly, pulling the sheets around her.

"I have to tell you something. My name isn't Natalie."

Sam stayed calm.

He sat up and looked into her eyes with that same deep understanding he always had.

"I know,"

Sam said softly.

"You work for an organization. You were sent to watch me."

Natasha froze. Her hand instinctively reached for a weapon that wasn't there.

"You knew? The whole time?"

"Yes, I knew."

Sam said and grabbed her hand.

"But I also knew that you were tired of living like that. I didn't care who you worked for. I only cared about you."

Natasha felt a huge weight lift off her shoulders.

She didn't have to lie anymore.

"They think you're a high-level martial artist. They don't know about... whatever this is. This power."

"It's called Cultivation,"

Sam said.

He held up his hand, and for the first time, he let the pink Qi swirl openly around his fingers.

It hummed with a beautiful, musical sound.

"It's not magic, and it's not science. It's the art of becoming more than human by breathing the energy of the world."

Natasha reached out and touched the pink light. It felt tingly and alive.

"I'm going to teach you the real way,"

Sam promised.

"Not just the simple breathing. I want you to be strong. The world is going to get very dangerous soon. There are things coming that even your boss can't handle."

He moved closer and tucked a strand of red hair behind her ear.

"You're my woman now, Natasha,"

He said, his voice firm and protective.

"A cultivator protects his partner with his life. I will never let S.H.I.E.L.D. or anyone else uses you as a tool again. If they try to take you away, I'll show them why they should have stayed in the shadows."

Natasha felt a tear prick her eye. No one had ever offered to protect her just for being her.

It was always about her skills or her body.

"They won't like it,"

Natasha warned.

"Nick Fury doesn't like losing his best assets."

"Then he'll have to learn to deal with it,"

Sam laughed. It was a confident, powerful sound.

"By the time he realizes what's happening, you'll be stronger than any super-soldier they have."

Sam helped her sit cross-legged on the bed, facing him.

"Close your eyes,"

He instructed.

"We are going to start the Blossom Heart technique. This is the first step to making your body immortal."

As they began to breathe together, the air in the room grew warm.

The energy in the room became thick and sweet, like a thousand flowers blooming at once.

As Natasha followed Sam's rhythm, she felt the Blossom Heart technique taking root.

Her muscles didn't just feel relaxed—they felt like they were being rebuilt with steel and silk.

When she finally opened her eyes, she looked at her hands.

They were glowing with a faint, healthy light.

She felt faster, sharper, and more alive than she had ever been.

Natasha looked around Sam's small, cramped studio apartment.

She saw the old coffee table and the thin mattress.

She looked at Sam, the man who had given her a new soul, and she made a decision.

"Sam,"

She said, her voice full of authority.

"No more spreadsheets. No more logistics firms. And definitely no more living in this tiny box."

"I told you, I still need to pay rent,"

Sam joked, but Natasha just laughed.

She reached into her bag and pulled out several black credit cards and a tablet.

She swiped the screen, showing him bank accounts with numbers that made Sam's head spin.

As one of the world's top spies, Natasha had hidden accounts all over the globe.

She was incredibly wealthy.

"You are my man now,"

She said with a playful smirk.

"And I don't let my man live like a struggling salaryman. We're moving. I'm buying us a place where we can cultivate in peace—a penthouse with a view and a private gym. Anything you want, it's yours."

Sam was stunned.

He had spent his whole life worrying about the next paycheck, and now his girlfriend was treating him like a king.

"I guess I'm being spoiled now?"

"Consider it an investment in our future,"

Natasha said, leaning in to kiss his cheek.

"You give me the power to be immortal, and I'll give you the world."

A few hours later, Natasha's phone buzzed. It was an encrypted message from Nick Fury.

They had noticed the camera in Sam's room went dark.

"They're curious,"

Natasha said, her eyes turning cold and sharp.

Sam stood up, his pink Qi humming.

"Do you want me to handle it?"

"No,"

Natasha said, standing tall.

She moved with a speed that was almost impossible to follow.

She was already much stronger than a normal human.

"I know how to play their game. I'll tell Fury that you are a 'Special Asset' under my personal control. If he wants you, he has to go through me."

She looked back at Sam, her expression softening.

"I'm not the little spider they trapped anymore, Sam. Thanks to your family's technique, I can walk out of their shadows whenever I want. If S.H.I.E.L.D. tries to push us, I'll show them that the Black Widow has grown some very sharp fangs."

By that evening, a fleet of black cars arrived—not to arrest them, but to move Sam's few belongings.

Natasha had bought a high-security mansion on the outskirts of the city.

As they stood on the balcony of their new home, looking out at the San Francisco skyline, Sam felt the "World Essence" flowing toward them. It was stronger here, away from the crowded city.

"Tomorrow, the real training begins,"

Sam said, holding her waist.

"I'm ready,"

Natasha replied.

"Let's see how far this path goes."
