I took that final look around and promptly steeled myself for this dive into the unknown, the sight of that serpent slithering towards us at insane speeds making it impossible for me to linger here unnecssarily.
All of the serpents and fish in the water were of far less importance than that serpent up above, so after I took a large gulp I pushed myself down and submerged myself completely in the cool, almost chilling water.
The shock from before was almost gone, but my skin prickled uncomfortably from the temperature whilst my nose stung as I tried to keep myself from breathing; as for my eyes, they stung like hell too, but I needed them open in order to figure out where I was going.
What I saw when I finally was able to focus them was Valentina drifting beneath me, staring up at me with a tilted head as she just waited for me to acclimated myself... before she slowly motioned with one hand for me to come down further.
