Chapter 3 - Reihan company and Grimson curse

Fantasy world-moon night saga

Chapter 003

"It feels so good knowing that your dream business is about to start. After Gimelion's victory against the invaders, the city began to rise from its ruins. Meanwhile, Zayin assigned the group of Elves to prepare some supplies."

Eitan:"What is it?"

Zayin:"Young Master, we need certain ingredients to make medicines like Healing Potions, Antidotes, Stamina Potions, and more. Jennah gave me a map—the town of Alchanor is located in this area, and that's where we can find high-quality herbs such as Hyssop, Myrrh, Frankincense, and Tsori.

These are all considered top-tier medicines because of their effects. However, based on adventurer records, plants like these rarely grow in one spot, and it can take decades before they bear fruit again."

Eitan:"How will we be able to get them if that's the case?"

Zayin:"Don't worry, Young Master! Sarah said this year is the blooming season for these herbs. The only problem is, a lot of monsters are also interested in them.

I'll be back in a few minutes. I'll bring Sarah along too so at least I have someone to talk to. See ya!"

Sharah:"Young Master, Aaron wants to speak to you regarding the book. We've obtained some information about it."

Sharah:"While you were away, Young Master, all the races worked together to repair the destroyed houses, and the wounded were given medicine. Thanks to the High Elves, they were able to respond quickly. Meanwhile, Sit has finished making new clothes for you. You can go visit her anytime."

Eitan:"Thank you so much for everything you've done."

Sharah:"It was nothing, Young Master. We also want to help the residents of Azahur."

"Meanwhile in Alchanor, as Sarah and Zayin were walking, Sarah asked what his relationship was with his Master, Eitan. He turned pale and simply answered with a dry laugh, 'I'm just his follower.'"

Zayin:"By the way, how do we tell which one is Tsori or Myrrh?"

Sarah:"Myrrh has watery sap and large red leaves. Tsori, on the other hand, is a small plant that's hard to pull out because its roots have thorns—you can easily recognize it by its sky-blue color. Myrrh is excellent for healing wounds, while Tsori is great for boosting stamina and mana.

Zayin:"What about Hyssop and Frankincense specifically, and what benefits do they give us?"

Sarah:"Hyssop and Frankincense actually look alike in shape and color, but they grow in different places and bear fruit at different times of the year."

Hyssop is effective against poison, while Frankincense is great for burned skin—it heals wounds and restores burnt skin back to its original state."

Zayin:"That sounds really good right now .

"By the way, how is the Inn doing?"

Sarah:"I'm still having it fixed. There are a lot of things to repair, so it'll probably take a few days before it's ready to use again."

"I went to where Aaron was, and when I arrived, Rahab and Sit were there too. They were studying the book carefully and found out that it contains various instructions, such as how to summon monsters or seal them away.

Aside from that, there were also writings about cities that existed fifty million years ago. It also states that the very first Hero sacrificed his life just to defeat Xerxes, the King of Death.

Eitan:"That book is really interesting. Who would have thought that hero managed to defeat such a monster? He must have been truly powerful."

Sit:"I thought that was just a story or a myth. I never expected it to actually be true."

"I was just a kid when I first heard about that."

Eitan:"Rahab, what do you say about this? Do you know anything about the book?"

Rahab:"Young Master, from what I know, that was used by a Sorcerer to seal away beings like that. It happened when we fought at the Volcanic Spring. I just have one question though... how did you get hold of the book?"

Eitan:"How did it happen? Right after I finished my contract with Zayin, I just saw it there. I got interested so I took it, and this is actually the reason why I've learned so many spells and magic.

Sit:"We should study this further. We might discover more things besides just magic spells. Maybe we can find details that will help us strengthen the foundation of Azahur even more."

Rahab:....."If that's the case, I guess I need to go back to Gimelion first to check on the store I'm having built. Rahab, can you come with me?"

Rahab:"Of course, Young Master. I can go anywhere with you."

Eitan: ""Uhm..."Thanks.

"After several hours, Sarah and Zayin returned to Gimelion, bringing back the medicinal herbs. Zayin praised Sarah for her skills and abilities while fighting against the monsters."

Zayin:"Why don't you just become an adventurer instead? That's really good, especially with your skills. You'd even earn more money compared to just running the Inn."

Sarah:"That's actually what I wanted to do too, but the Inn was inherited from my parents. I can't just neglect it—it's the only thing they left behind."

Zayin:"I understand. It's really not easy to forget or leave something behind, especially if it means a lot to you."

Nana:"Welcome home, Big Sister."

Sarah:"How are you? Are you okay? What were you doing while I was gone?"

Nana:"Nothing much, we were just playing with Joey, but he went home a while ago."

Sarah:"By the way, what will be the name of the shop? Have you guys thought of any already?"

Zayin:"We're still thinking about it, but we'll leave it up to Young Master to decide."

"A few minutes later, I finally arrived in Gimelion. Thanks to the portal Zayin showed me, I can now travel anywhere I want, anytime I want."

"When I arrived, the people warmly welcomed me—not like before. I'm really happy and excited about what happens next."

Eitan:"The building is almost finished. I need to find out where to get the store license so we can start operating. I guess I should start by going to the Guild or see its Master."

Elder:"So it was really you. I found out that you and your companions were the ones who defeated the invaders that night. Thank you so much! Is there anything I can do for you?"

Eitan:"It's nothing. I just have a question—how do you get a store license? I want to run my business properly, so I hope you can help me with that."

Elder:"You can't get the license here because this place is just a territory under the rule of the Kingdom of Alchanor."

Eitan:...

Elder:"But there is an effective way. The richest man in this city is Peter Grimson, I'm sure he can help you. You'll find their house right across the church—it's just near Sarah's Inn. May you be blessed."

Eitan:"Thank you very much then."

Elder:"Alright then, I'll head back to the shop."

Eitan:"A super-rich person... what am I supposed to say to him? It feels like I just want to give up, I'm actually shaking and getting cold feet from nervousness."

"Maybe I need Zayin's help, that would be right. But that girl gets angry so easily, she might just ruin my plans. I have to do this alone... I feel like I'd rather die."

"Meanwhile, after Zayin talked to Sarah, she went to a restaurant to eat. I headed straight to Grimson's house. Even though my hands were shaking, I forced myself to knock on the door."

????:"What do they need?""Do you have an appointment with the Master?"

Eitan:"None, but I would really like to meet him and ask for a favor."

Elder:"Oh, you're already here. Come on in!"

????:"He is our Master here." From the sound of his voice, it seems like you two already know each other.

Eitan:"Not really."

Grimson:"Please forgive me for introducing myself like this. To be honest, I just really wanted to meet you."

Eitan:.....

Grimson:"I know you have a lot of questions in your mind. Let me explain everything to you.

This country doesn't get many businessmen coming here because of the invaders. That's why when we first met, I didn't tell you right away who I really was. I kept asking myself why someone like you would come to this city. I was suspicious of you, that's why I said those things. I didn't trust you, so I told you those words because back then, I just wanted you to leave the city.

But things turned out differently—you actually saved this place.

Regarding the license, I can give it to you. However, you will need to take a test first. That is the rule here."

Eitan:"That's fine with me, and thank you also for allowing me to do business here."

Grimson:"I haven't properly introduced myself yet. Just call me Grimson. And you are?"

Eitan:"Just call me Reihan."

Grimson:"Alright Reihan. I want you to know that this country doesn't have a very good reputation, and business isn't that big here. Are you willing to stay even if the profit you'll make is small?"

Eitan:"Yes sir. I will treat this as a huge debt of gratitude to this city."

Grimson:"Then let's get started. First of all, we need the marketing proposal and your tax details."

"While I was answering all of Grimson's questions, Zayin was at Sarah's Inn buying supplies for the store we are building."

Zayin:"It feels like this city is completely deserted."

Sarah:"Yes, but this is still better than before. Back then, you wouldn't hear a single sound. Now, at least you can see people walking around."

Zayin:"What if we announce to different countries that there are products available in this city, and we'll give a fifty percent discount on all items?"

Sarah:"That's a great idea, but right now, only you and Pheter Grimson are the businessmen in the entire city."

Zayin:"That's fine. Right now, Young Master is already talking to Grimson. Besides, I've already sent the herbs to my acquaintances, and they'll take care of making the potions. Aside from that, we also have fruits that we can sell. Is that okay with you?"

Sarah:"That is wonderful news! Thank you very much for giving importance to this city. Someday, this place will regain its vitality, and the people of Gimelion will be happy once again."

"After answering all the questions, I officially became a licensed businessman in the city.

Two days later, we opened the trading company, and I named it 'Reihan Company', after the name I use."

"But right after my store opened, Grimson brought me terrible news about his sister who lives in another city. According to the report, her three young daughters have fallen ill—a sickness caused by a sorcerer. Their condition is critical, so they need to be treated immediately before it's too late."

Grimson:"What am I going to do? If I'm not mistaken, that illness is a virus called 'Death Penalty'."

Eitan:"What kind of illness is that?"

Grimson:"I don't know. All I know is that those experiments were stopped a long time ago, and now they're being used for meaningless revenge."Please help me."

Eitan:...!!!!!

Grimson:"I know you're confused about what kind of experiment that was, but I hope you can help me. Let's deal with this first, and afterwards, I will tell you everything in detail."

"Even though I was confused, I forced myself to help Grimson. Using telepathy, I talked to Zayin about my plan, and I also told Rahab to come see me and bring the book with her if possible."

"After a few minutes, we traveled to Valor, where Grimson's sister lives."

"We traveled across Valor for a day, and when we arrived, some of Grimson's acquaintances met us and led us to his sister's house."

Butler: "Please come in. I am the butler of this house. The mistress is inside, waiting for your arrival."

Grimson:"This way, please follow me. I hope we aren't too late."

Karren:"Brother, thank goodness you've arrived. And who might be with you?"

Grimson: "Brother, thank goodness you've arrived. "We'll talk about that later. Where are your three daughters?

Karren: "They are in the underground level of this building, brother. You are the one who can help them."

Grimson:"I'm counting on you, Reihan."

Eitan:"Before I start, I need to see exactly what this is firsthand."

Karren:"This way, please follow me. At first, it was just a simple cough and fever, but as time went on, they started vomiting blood. On top of that, they became violent, their skin turned red and swollen, and they're almost unrecognizable now."

Eitan:...

Karren:"There they are. I hope you can help them."

Zayin:"This isn't a normal illness. It's a type of mutation. For someone like me, the only thing I can do is give it a try, but the chance of success is only fifty percent."

Karren:"Only fifty percent? Is there really nothing else we can do? Please, heal them. I am begging you."

Zayin:"Young Master, this seems like a job for you. You're the only one who can treat them. Here is the spell on how to cure them, and also the potion that Sit prepared. I had a suspicion about this, so I had him make it right away."

Eitan:"Grimson and Ms. Karren, don't worry, this will be easy. I will heal them. Zayin, Rahab, no matter what happens, keep watch over the people around us."

"I approached the three of them. They were foaming at the mouth, unrecognizable with their bright red skin, and their eyes looked like lions starving for blood. They were incredibly fast, moving as swift as shadows."

"What I did to cure them was use a sealing spell. Afterwards, I destroyed the corrupted parts of their bodies and replaced them with new ones. The procedure took almost three hours, but in the end, it was a success and I was able to heal them completely."

Eitan:"It's done. You can go see them now. Oh wow, my legs are so numb from standing for so long."

Grimson:"Thank you so much, Reihan."

Eitan:"It was nothing. I am just glad I could help."

Grimson:"Oh Goddess, thank you so much for your presence."

Eitan:"Goddess? Umm..."

"After I healed the three girls, Karren immediately thanked me and wanted to repay me for what I had done, but I refused. I told her that perhaps someday, I might be the one to need her help."

"After I healed the three of them, Grimson told me the truth. It turns out it was actually a type of curse that had plagued their family for a long time, created by a sorcerer. He doesn't know the reason or motive behind it."
