Chapter 3 - Dud

Axel didn't have a grand plan.

His goals at the moment was just to destroy the factions that pressured his family during his coma, starting from helping his sister, and making his family so strong that no group took them lightly.

His parents shared the same wishes.

Axel told them a few of the plans he developed in the darkness.

After a few back and front, his convinced his parents to allow him to go out while they handled the dungeon and got used to their new abilties.

So, when he returned, the family will depart for his sister's final exams which was the day after tomorrow.

It was no coinicendence that Axel woke up before his sister was humiliated.

With pure will, he had forced the progress of the system after hearing the rants of his sister when she came home during her pre exam break.

"I shouldn't have let my princess attend that school afterall! No, but that'll be affecting her life and I want her to enjoy herself. It's those bastards fault after all. They hurt my girl!"

Leona's gaze grew dark as she said, her anger bustling the air.

"I will kill them! I won't spare any of them."

Dazrel was even more quiet, but his bulging veins and the inrease in temperature said a lot.

They didn't know the details of problem Lana was going through, they barely even knew the surface. But after Axel revealed it, the animosity they held for their enemies was blazing.

Axel was also serious as he said, "I agree."

He turned to his father, the head of the family, and waited his judgement.

Dazrel folded handds squeezed his shoulders as he surpressed his anger.

"Axel, we will move forward with your plan. We will show them that no one messes with the Agronas."

And so, the end of a family was determined just like that.

Axel sat in the darkness of his room.

In front of him was a golden system screen, revealing his status.

'So the Dragon Overlord System merged with world's System…'

Axel took a moment to adore his new stats before moving onto his true agenda.

"I don't know if I should fuse all the abiltiies they have right now. Who knows, when I awaken Lana, Alfred and get a beast or two, they might fuse with mom and dad's ability better."

Axel pondered for a second and said,

"Alas, I just have to go with these. System, fuse the best two combinations from mom and dad's abiltiies."

….

Axel took a few minutes thinking about applications of his new skills while mentally preparing himself for the physical harm he planned to do.

Just then, he heard a knock and let his dad inside the room.

Dazrel, now dressed in causal shirt and pants, had a smile.

"Your mother managed to guess how you wanted to make money in a bit."

Axel tilted his head slightly, a smile crossing his face. "As expected."

"Right?" Dazrel laughed and handed a filled small sack to Axel.

Axel gave his dad a skeptical look and opened to see the content.

In it, there were scales. Scales of True Dragons.

Axel gave his dad a wry look before smiling and extended his fist. "Thank you."

Drazel hit his fist with Axel and they both exchanged their personal handshakes.

"We're in this together!"

Axel nodded and added, "Extend my thanks to mom too."

"You betcha," Dazrel replied. "Alright. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Good night."

Dazrel turned to leave Axel's room.

Through the white shirt and the reflection of his room light, Axel saw the red skin underneath Dazrel's shirt.

A wave of bloodlust exuded from Axel as he muttered,

"Those bastards… they'll pay for all of this!"

Chapter 4

The next morning.

Dazrel and Leona saw Axel out after they all had breakfast together.

Axel, wanting his exit from coma to still be under wraps, had changed his hair color black and his eyes brown.

He used equipment his mother used to use in her younger days of snooping around.

The equipment effects along with his height difference would make it hard for people to recognise the old rising star.

Not that everyone knew of him that much, most just knew his name and background.

Their high class mansion was placed at a residence at the edge of the city and it was mostly unbusy so it was easy for him to make it around.

He moved around this trade-centered city and made it to one of the fanciest buildings there.

They buy and sell magical items there, and to make money, Axel had items to buy.

He also had an item to buy too.

Immediately he set into the building, he heard the system say:

[Items containing dragon blood is within here]

Axel smiled at those words.

'Well, well, well. I guess I just hit a jackpot. I should have expected this from the biggest seller in the west.'

Axel [explain a simple first floor with simple items for the common men]

He surveyed the area and confirmed nothing was calling out to him.

'Must be on the second floor which has stronger weapons and combat accessories.'

He proceeded to the second floor, where as expected a few items called out to him.

'It would be an insult for any items less than A rank to be holding such.'

Axel walked to a place where a one-sided blade with a red hilt was.

[4% of dragon blood detected. Beginning absorption.]

He stared with a wide smile at the blade.

[+4% of dragon blood.]

With a determined stride, he moved to another item that called out to him.

He did that 8 times obtaining a total of

After confirming there was none other to absorb here, he turned to a worker who stood at one corner from the start, watching over this floor.

"I want to go to the next floor."

The lady replied with a deadpan reply, "The third floor is primarily for fashion accessories. I see you were looking for something, please tell me what so I'll direct you better."

Axel wore a disappointed expression and sighed.

He dipped his hand in the sack tied to his waist and pulled out a scale.

"I also want to sell these."

The lady didn't know the exact worth but the shine and feeling the scale gave off made her know its value.

And from what she saw, Axel had a load more from where that came from.

"Hey, so like I said, I want to check out the third floor and the exclusive items too."

The lady nodded. "Yes sir. Right away!"

Axel was let to the third floor, seeing high quality accessories that stored even more dragon blood than the previous floor. Only one of the exclusive items had dragon blood in it, but it held a whooping 23% of the blood.

After acting like they barely interested him, Axel sold them the scales, selling them in total for the worth of 4 A-rank items.

He then bought himself the A-rank blade he first absorbed Dragon Blood from and a binding contract that can work between 5 individuals below level 60.

He expended more of his money there by using their teleportation gate to travel to the capital.
