Chapter 4 - A Match for Kakashi the “Fifty-Fifty”?

Suppressing his excitement, Kazama Shin hurried back to his apartment and immediately chose to fuse the Genin's chakra he had just copied.

Boom!

In an instant, a far greater stream of warmth surged into his body from somewhere unknown, flowing through his veins. It carried a faint coolness while warming his frail body at the same time, bringing an indescribable sense of comfort.

"Ah… so comfortable!"

He let out a satisfied groan, stretching his arms.

Compared to before, the chakra within him now felt like the difference between a bowl of water and a continuously flowing stream.

After all, he had only just learned to extract chakra—how could he possibly compare to someone who had already become a Genin?

Now, in a single moment, he possessed the chakra reserves of a qualified Genin. A smile appeared on Kazama Shin's lips.

And then—

He immediately sat down cross-legged again and attempted to extract chakra on his own.

This time, it was no longer as difficult.

Although it hadn't reached the level of instant generation, both the speed and quantity of chakra synthesis far surpassed before.

"As expected… my body's talent has changed!"

Kazama Shin opened his eyes, as if seeing a bright new path ahead.

What he had gained wasn't just Genin-level chakra—it was also that Genin's cultivation talent.

"Hahaha… from now on, who in the ninja world dares to say their talent is better than mine?"

"I'll surpass you the very next day!"

Thinking this in a slightly over-the-top way, Kazama Shin suddenly found himself filled with anticipation for this world.

Because now, he was confident in his future.

Soon, a day passed.

The next morning, after waking early and finishing his chakra training, Kazama Shin slowly opened his eyes.

"This guy's talent is much better than mine… but compared to true geniuses of the same generation, it's probably still far behind…"

He murmured thoughtfully.

His chakra reserves had now truly reached standard Genin level.

At most, he could probably use one C-rank technique or a few D-rank techniques.

This meant that the Genin he had copied was nothing more than average among ninjas.

But Kazama Shin didn't mind.

He could always copy someone stronger in the future.

Shaking his head, he began his morning physical training.

"Let's begin!"

After all, to grow stronger, he couldn't rely solely on talent—effort was just as important.

In this world, even with talent, one couldn't neglect hard work. True strength was built on both talent and effort.

Even while training, Kazama Shin would find time to wander around the village.

On one hand, it helped him relax and familiarize himself with the environment.

On the other, it gave him opportunities to use his Copy Technique.

"Ding. Copy failed!"

"Ding. Successfully copied ***'s Transformation Technique. Fuse?"

"Ding. Copy failed!"

Perhaps he had used up all his luck on the first day.

On the second day, two of his attempts failed, and the one success was just another copy of the Transformation Technique.

"Looks like lower-level abilities are easier to copy…"

Kazama Shin gradually began to understand some of the hidden rules behind his ability.

The lower the rank of the technique, the more frequently it appeared.

And repeatedly copying the same technique could further improve his mastery.

"Ding. Successfully copied ***'s Substitution Technique. Fuse?"

"Ding. Successfully copied ***'s Clone Technique. Fuse?"

As the days passed, Kazama Shin eventually gathered all three basic techniques—the Substitution Technique, Transformation Technique, and Clone Technique—and could now use them with remarkable proficiency.

"Ding. Successfully copied Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu! Fuse?"

This was the best notification he had received today.

He had encountered an elite Chunin who had just returned from a mission, and Kazama Shin used his final attempt of the day on him.

After several failures and repeated basic techniques, he had finally obtained a truly useful ninjutsu.

Without hesitation, he chose to fuse it.

The essence of Earth Release: Headhunter Jutsu flowed into his mind, each detail becoming crystal clear.

Once the fusion was complete, having finally mastered a technique beyond the three basics, Kazama Shin couldn't help but smile.

With a slight curl at the corner of his lips, he muttered,

"Kakashi is known as the Copy Ninja… but compared to that, I count as one too, don't I?"

"Haha… will I end up being called 'fifty-fifty' as well?"

He chuckled to himself.

With his Sharingan, Kakashi would become famous across the ninja world in the coming years, copying countless techniques and being able to fight evenly with almost anyone—earning him the nickname "Kakashi the Fifty-Fifty."

But Kazama Shin was confident—

Given enough time, he would surpass Kakashi.

Because his Copy Technique didn't just copy ninjutsu—

It could copy talent and chakra itself.
