Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Blue Silver Bind?

"Little San, how do you feel? Has the Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul brought any changes to your Soul Power?"

Xiao Lin, who had already finished his cultivation of the Vajra Imperishable Divine Skill, was squatting beside Tang San to ask.

Unlike Tang San, Xiao Lin's Soul Power was extremely hard and difficult to compress. Consequently, Xiao Lin could usually only absorb enough to fill his meridians and Dantian once per day.

Any more than that was impossible; it would swell to the point of pain. Thus, sometimes being powerful wasn't necessarily a good thing, and being weak wasn't necessarily a bad thing—at least in terms of Soul Power storage.

Tang San's Soul Power was like the Blue Silver Grass: easy to compress, massive in volume, and brimming with vitality. However, it was precisely for this reason that Xiao Lin desperately needed a Soul Core cultivation method.

Even if it was impossible to master a true Soul Core at his current rank, he had to get his hands on it. Even a low-budget, simplified version would be better than nothing.

"I feel something, but it's not much."

At that moment, Tang San slowly opened his eyes, his brow furrowed slightly.

If Tang San weren't a martial arts genius, he likely wouldn't have noticed this minute transformation of his Soul Power.

"Brother Lin, the conversion is too small. I can feel the vitality rising slightly, but it feels like adding a single cup of water to a lake."

The change was too minuscule.

It was so subtle that no one but him would likely ever discover it.

"Perhaps that's why there have never been any powerful experts among Blue Silver Grass Soul Masters. This transformation is simply too slow," Xiao Lin nodded secretly, patting Tang San's shoulder to reassure him.

"Once you obtain your first Soul Skill, it shouldn't be a problem anymore. In the records I've seen, even when Soul Masters with Blue Silver Grass absorb a Soul Ring, they almost always choose a 'Bind' skill."

"Aside from giving the Soul Master some weak control capabilities, it offers no other advantages and even drags down the speed of Soul Power conversion."

"Little San, if anyone ever tells you that Blue Silver Grass should absorb a 'Bind' skill or add poison attributes to increase control effects, that person is definitely an incompetent waste."

"The vitality conversion of Blue Silver Grass is already slow; if you add poison to the mix, it becomes even slower."

Xiao Lin had no positive feelings toward Yu Xiaogang.

Whenever he found an opportunity, he would whisper such disparaging remarks into Tang San's ear. Even if the current Tang San didn't know Yu Xiaogang, if Xiao Lin said it enough times, Tang San would eventually remember.

When he finally met Yu Xiaogang, he would realize that the man was the textbook definition of an "incompetent waste."

"Mm, I understand."

Tang San nodded seriously, having deep faith in his good brother's words.

At least for now, he could see that Xiao Lin was being completely honest and open with him, much like the teachers who taught him martial arts in his previous life. Tang San had always held great respect for people with genuine substance.

Otherwise, in the original story, he wouldn't have immediately chosen to acknowledge Yu Xiaogang as his teacher just because the man deduced the truth of his Twin Martial Souls. Tang San simply lacked experience back then and was tricked.

The matter of Twin Martial Souls is something anyone with enough insight could see.

For example, Dugu Bo deduced the truth simply by looking at his granddaughter's Jade Phosphor Serpent and Tang San's Innate Full Soul Power. How could a Martial Soul capable of producing a Titled Douluo be inferior to a tiny piece of Blue Silver Grass?

But now, Tang San could completely hide the truth of his Twin Martial Souls. Once he absorbed his first Soul Ring and his vitality increased significantly, who would doubt him if he claimed to be a Blue Silver King?

Does ordinary Blue Silver Grass have such powerful vitality?

Does ordinary Blue Silver Grass have as much Soul Power as Tang San?

Can ordinary Blue Silver Grass be controlled as freely as Tang San does?

Impossible.

When the time came, Xiao Lin looked forward to using his theories to slap the "Grandmaster" in the face.

"By the way, Little San, hurry up and perform a Blue Silver Bind for me. Let me see your current changes and record them."

Xiao Lin pulled out a small notebook from his person, which contained records of the changes in Tang San's Martial Soul over the past month.

He used the same amount of Soul Power to perform a "Blue Silver Bind" on the grass (essentially using the Martial Soul to catalyze the growth of natural Blue Silver Grass) and recorded the quantity, strength, and height.

The records fluctuated, but the overall trend was an upward curve. According to Xiao Lin's deductions, the occasional low points were likely just due to that specific patch of dirt having fewer seeds.

The sudden spikes in data occurred when there were more seeds available.

"Alright. Blue Silver Bind!"

Seeing Xiao Lin's serious expression, Tang San felt even more respect for him.

This is a true researcher.

Tang San gripped his right wrist with his left hand, exerting full control over his Soul Power to ensure he didn't release even a drop more than intended.

In the next second, the moment the Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul appeared in his right hand, the grass within a one-meter radius in front of him instantly shot up. It grew taller than both of them, and the density was enough for the two of them to hide inside.

"Tsk tsk. As expected, the height has increased by another 0.3 centimeters. I can't tell much regarding the quantity; it probably depends on the seeds in the soil."

Xiao Lin leaned over, summoning his Horned Dragon Staff to help measure the height and record today's changes. Since the Horned Dragon Staff was his own Martial Soul, he could get the most precise data regardless of its length.

Strength was harder to calculate.

For Xiao Lin, he could break free with a casual tug. However, based on the visible changes over the past month, it was clear that the strength was also increasing.

"Little San, why didn't you actually 'bind' anything?" Xiao Lin asked, somewhat dissatisfied as he watched the grass grow straight up.

"With your talent, it's impossible that you haven't mastered a low-skill technique like binding yet. Shouldn't that be something you can do with a wave of your hand?"

Xiao Lin was very unhappy with Tang San's progress.

Although he didn't want Tang San to waste a Soul Ring slot on a "Bind" skill, a Self-Created Soul Skill was a different story. It shouldn't be difficult given Tang San's martial arts talent. Xiao Lin had been nagging him about this for a month.

A month ago, while helping Tang San plan his first Soul Ring, he had mentioned this kind of Self-Created Soul Skill. If Tang San used a precious Soul Ring slot on something like this, Xiao Lin would truly have a breakdown.

"Brother Lin, don't be in such a hurry. Look inside," Tang San gave a sheepish smile.

He pushed aside the tall grass, revealing several "Blue Silver Grass Snares" hidden beneath.

"Brother Lin, I've been thinking. It's better to use the camouflage of the Blue Silver Grass and then use these hidden traps. That causes the most damage."

Xiao Lin looked on with disbelief.

As expected of an outstanding Tang Sect disciple; you sure have a lot of dirty tricks.

However, Xiao Lin didn't mind.

It was a good thing that Tang San could draw inferences from his teachings. If Xiao Lin's Martial Soul were Blue Silver Grass, he would do the same. Use the minimum amount of power to achieve the maximum effect.

Whether it was tripping someone or causing them to break a bone, it was much better than a standard "Blue Silver Bind."
