Thalia hurried to keep up with William's long strides as he walked ahead of her through the hospital hallway after finishing the discharge procedure.
"Are you still sulking?" she asked, tugging lightly at his sleeve.
William only spared her a short glance before suddenly slowing his pace, causing Thalia to end up slightly ahead of him this time.
"Please, go ahead, Mrs. Carter," he said flatly. "I'm afraid people might mistake me for your uncle."
Thalia immediately turned around, narrowing her eyes playfully at him.
"You know that's not what I meant…" she said, trying hard not to laugh.
William crossed his arms, clearly still offended.
"You literally said I don't look twenty-nine."
Thalia immediately shook her head. "No, no. I said you didn't look like you're twenty-nine. That's different."
"How is that different?"
"I mean…" she tried to explain while following beside him, "you look… young?"
