Resistance was negligible, which was expected, as the enemy had placed their main defensive forces on the first underground level, so the resistance encountered on the second underground level wasn't going to be overly intense.
Gao Yang was the second to descend. By the time he got down, Li Jinfang had already killed two men with handguns; both lying on the ground were dressed in civilian clothes rather than military uniforms, which was a good sign.
The second underground level was much more complex than the one above because it mainly consisted of living facilities. Though far more rudimentary compared to above, it was divided into small compartments, and all living amenities were present, even toilets underground.
