The advantage of having competent subordinates is you can throw any task to them directly without worrying.
The disadvantage is that Gao Yang has no task to handle himself, preventing him from getting involved.
This is called having gains inevitably leads to losses, and losses inevitably lead to gains.
It wasn't long after Baskov called Glewatov over that Glewatov returned alone.
Silently walking in front of Gao Yang and Yarebin, Glewatov whispered, "Baskov is gone, he's very pleased."
Yarebin whispered, "Gone? Then let him be."
Glewatov sighed, "Seeing that traitor's happy appearance is truly unsettling. Captain, did you…"
"That's right, I fooled him. Did he notice?"
"No, actually I think even if he did notice, he would pretend to take you seriously, making himself act pleased. When someone is willing to deceive themselves, lies cease to exist. He truly believes everything you said, because his joy is genuine."
