Beauty and the Thief [BL]

Tao Hua's life is fucking miserable, and that misery somehow earns him the title of "Village Disgrace." In order to cope with the awful treatment, he often retreats into words untold, dictated by the flip of a page. These worlds leave him with the dream of escaping this piece of shit town. To his utter dismay, his wish comes true, but not in the way all those fairytales promised. His saviour is a man he becomes enthralled with and whom he names “Lord No-Name.” This male lead is a touchy man with many faces. And for lack of a better word, Tao Hua can’t decide if he’s either the story’s love interest or villain. But the two share a common sentiment. This prince, alike Tao Hua, is also fucking miserable. But arguably worse! And instead of coping like a normal fucking person, he does the opposite. He doesn't escape. He doesn't cope. He just tries to fight against the already fated truth of his demise. 0/10, worst prince ever written. Misery aside, this fateful encounter will force Tao Hua to make a choice, leaving him with only one question: "What was one mean-spirited beast to a town of people who despise a beauty's entire existence?" ──── ୨୧ ──── Beauty and the Thief is a slow-burn, stop to smell the roses, type of novel. That being said, the roses are beautiful, and upon closer observation they’re less floral than once thought. It follows the POV of Tao Hua, as he tries to navigate his new life in a place that actually values him, and the prince of this story’s mood swings. ──── ୨୧ ──── !!!!Disclaimer!!!! EXTREMELY SLOW PACED! Character driven, before plot! This story borrows the premise of Beauty and the Beast, by Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont, relying heavily on the trope while also twisting it to smithereens. The beast element is exchanged for a power dynamic, and the curse differs from the original story. The narration borders on sarcastic and self-aware, while also targeting deeper topics. It often breaks the fourth wall as a stylistic choice. A lot of the work will be edited over time, but the bones will remain the same. ──── ୨୧ ──── CREDIT!! RAYFIELD - RAY OF HOPE

RAYFIELD – RAY OF HOPE Rayfield – Ray of Hope is a deeply emotional family saga that explores love, betrayal, identity, consequence, and redemption. At its core, it reveals how lives are shaped by both choices and consequences, and how pain can be transformed into purpose, healing, and generational change. The story follows Lovelyn Bright, a disciplined and intelligent young woman raised in a strict, religious home in Queensberry. After graduating from the University of Silverbird, she moved to the city seeking independence and opportunity. There, she meets Douglas Collins, who appears supportive and trustworthy. However, he manipulates her vulnerability, leading to a traumatic pregnancy that shatters her identity and stability. When Lovelyn seeks support from her family, she is rejected and disowned. The loss is worsened by her mother’s death, leaving her isolated and struggling to survive. Despite this, she finds unwavering support in her friend Fedora Goodheart, alongside Jone Joe and Mrs. Angela, who become her chosen family. Lovelyn gives birth to Rayfield, a child born from pain but representing hope. As Rayfield grows, she faces stigma, emotional absence, and questions about her identity. Despite these challenges, she develops resilience, intelligence, and emotional strength, becoming a reflection of both her mother’s pain and growth. Meanwhile, Lovelyn rebuilds her life and becomes a voice for others facing similar struggles. She later meets Evans Konet, a patient and caring man who forms a stable bond with both her and Rayfield, offering a healthier model of love and family. In contrast, Douglas descends into destructive behavior, leading to imprisonment. Over time, Rayfield rises, excelling academically and developing strong emotional awareness. Her life changes when she meets Prince Japhet Fortune, and their relationship grows into a union built on respect. She eventually becomes Queen of the Kingdom of Liberty, symbolizing transformation and triumph over adversity. When Douglas is released, he confronts the consequences of his actions. In a defining moment, Rayfield chooses forgiveness. This act does not erase the past but frees her from it, demonstrating strength and emotional maturity while beginning Douglas’s path toward accountability. Ultimately, the story concludes with healing and resolution. Lovelyn finds peace, Rayfield embraces her identity, and broken relationships are redefined through truth and understanding. Rayfield – Ray of Hope teaches that pain can give birth to purpose, brokenness can reshape destiny, and forgiveness is the highest form of freedom. Disclaimer This story contains themes of emotional trauma, betrayal, abandonment, loss, and complex family dynamics that may be sensitive for some readers. Reader discretion is advised.

At the same time.

Kim Ji Won is a young and influential owner of the grand Eldorado Shopping Center. Handsome, wealthy, and utterly confident in his own superiority, he has long believed that the world exists solely to satisfy his desires. The only person constantly at his side is his personal secretary, Lee Yeo Jun - restrained, diligent, and impeccably polite. Beneath this polished courtesy, however, lie fatigue, patience, and emotions that Ji Won either does not notice or prefers to ignore. Ji Won moves through a series of situations that confirm his selfishness and consumerism. To him, they are mere irritations, but to the world around him, they are the final straw. One day, he awakens to find himself in an entirely different reality - the Joseon era. Here, he is nobody. He possesses neither a powerful name, protection, nor privileges. He is assigned to work in the palace kitchen. For the first time in his life, Ji Won must learn self-reliance, patience, and submission. His former arrogance makes him a target of ridicule and punishment, and only gradually does he come to understand the value of others’ labor. Slowly, he learns gratitude, generosity, and the meaning of support - first reluctantly, then with growing sincerity. The true shock comes with his encounter with the young crown prince. At first seemingly infantile, brash, and capricious, the prince turns out to be Yeo Jun - the same secretary, yet in another life and another role. Intrigued by Ji Won’s strange behavior, the prince transfers him from the kitchen and appoints him as his personal attendant. This time, the initiative lies with Yeo Jun. He observes, teases, sometimes mocks playfully, and at other times displays unexpected gentleness. For the first time in his life, Ji Won must learn to listen, to understand, and to accept the will of another. Gradually, feelings begin to grow between them. Ji Won faces the challenge of love without possession or power, while Yeo Jun discovers the possibility of trust. Their relationship develops amid palace intrigues and dangers. Ji Won increasingly sacrifices his own comfort and safety for Yeo Jun, gradually dismantling the image of the man he once was - and discovering who he might truly become.
