The world faces the imminent threat of an apocalyptic nuclear war, which results in mass casualties, widespread mutations among survivors, and the complete collapse of governments worldwide. While many people survive the initial catastrophe, they often lose their sanity and sense of self, enduring numerous hardships that prey on the vulnerable and mentally fragile. Not only is individual identity at risk, but essential natural resources—such as clean water, arable land, and untainted air—become scarce due to the chaos, fueling conflicts and cannibalism among desperate communities vying for survival.
Despite society having fallen apart, numerous clandestine organizations operate in the shadows, exploiting the chaos to conduct gruesome experiments on traumatized victims. Many individuals have perished in these experiments; others are so horrifically altered that they are unrecognizable. Some have given up all hope of survival. Among them is Lucasth, a man who has lost his memories, bears numerous scars from brutal assaults, and feels his sense of self disintegrating. The only thing keeping him alive is the faint sense that someone, somewhere, is waiting for him.
