"Bring that woman here!" The leader barked, ordering his underlings to bring out Madam Sheng.
The underlings scurried into the side room and returned, wheeling Madam Sheng out on a rusted trolley. She remained slumped over, still completely unconscious.
"If you want her to be set free, you'll have to join my gang." The leader said with a sickening smirk spreading across his face.
He had already plotted his dark plan in detail. He intended to make this girl his property. That way, he could seize both her body and her fortune. Once he had drained every cent of her money, he planned to sell her into prostitution to squeeze out even more profit.
Yu Qi let out a dry chuckle when she heard the man's suggestion. 'Does he really think I'm just some naive, stupid girl?' From the predatory look in his eyes, she had already predicted exactly what he was planning.
"Come now, my dear." The leader beckoned.
Sigh... Yu Qi felt a wave of exhaustion. She did not want to prolong this useless conversation any further. She knew she had to secure Madam Sheng's safety first. Only then could she truly fight back without restraint.
Moving with a blur of speed, she pulled out two acupuncture needles. She flicked her wrist, throwing them straight at the men guarding Madam Sheng. Before they even realised what had happened, they collapsed onto the ground, unconscious.
She quickly ran to the trolley and pushed Madam Sheng back into the safety of the room. She had to act fast, knowing there was a high possibility the gang leader might use the gun to threaten Madam Sheng's life to keep her in check.
The rest of the gang was stunned by her sudden movement. A few of them rushed over to check on their fallen brothers.
"Bitch! What did you do to them?" One of the men demanded, his voice trembling with anger.
"I simply used acupuncture needles to knock them out." Yu Qi explained casually, as if she were discussing a medical procedure.
Of course, these were not just ordinary needles. They were coated in a potent, handmade poison of her own creation, one that could easily be lethal. Once the toxin entered the bloodstream, it would immediately plunge the victim into unconsciousness.
During this time, the poison would travel through the vessels and enter the heart, freezing the blood flow until death occurred. Afterwards, the substance would vanish completely, leaving behind no evidence of foul play. It was the perfect tool for a silent kill.
"You bitch! Guys, catch her! We are going to teach her a lesson she will never forget!" The leader roared.
The men grabbed heavy wooden logs to use as weapons. Yu Qi let out a small, mocking laugh at the sight. They charged at her without any coordination or plan. Having mastered advanced martial arts, Yu Qi found it effortless to dodge their clumsy swings. After a while, the men grew visibly winded from trying to land a single hit.
The leader's face twisted in rage as he watched his men fail to subdue one lone girl. "What are you doing? She is just a girl! Grab her, now!" He screamed at his subordinates.
"Boss, we can't catch her!" They cried out in frustration.
They had tried repeatedly to grab her, but she moved like a ghost, slipping through their fingers every time.
"YOU BITCH! STOP RIGHT NOW, OR I WILL SHOOT YOU!" The leader screamed, his patience finally snapping.
The room went still. Yu Qi stopped moving, but her expression did not flicker with even a hint of fear as the leader raised his gun and aimed it directly at her heart.
"You can try to shoot me if you want," Yu Qi provoked him with a voice cold and steady.
"Bitch, you asked for it!" The leader pulled the trigger.
BANG! The deafening sound of the gunshot echoed through the abandoned house.
Yu Qi dodged the bullet with preternatural speed. The rigorous gun training she had undergone within her space included specialised drills for evading fire.
Before the leader could even register the miss, she was on him. She struck the hand holding the weapon, seizing the gun in one fluid motion, and delivered a powerful kick that sent the leader sprawling onto the ground.
Without staying to gloat, she bolted back to the front of the room where Madam Sheng lay hidden, standing guard like a lethal sentinel.
