Meanwhile at the police station
Yu Qi had been escorted from the school by two policemen. She was told to wait in the waiting room until she was called. After about fifteen minutes of waiting, a policewoman came and brought her to meet the person in charge of the case.
She was asked to recount the entire incident in detail. This included the threat from the gangsters early that morning as well. The policeman who recorded her testimony then asked whether she knew anything about the real culprit behind the kidnapping.
Without lying, she answered yes. At that very moment, they suddenly heard loud shouting coming from the main entrance of the police station.
"Please, Sir, my husband did not do this. That kidnapper must have lied to you!" Madam Wang pleaded desperately with the policemen who were detaining Mr Wang.
The policemen ignored Madam Wang and brought Mr Wang to the officer in charge. The two of them were shocked when they saw Yu Qi there. Meanwhile, Yu Qi did not change her expression at all. She simply looked straight at both of them with a calm and indifferent gaze.
The first to lose her composure was Madam Wang. She immediately shouted at Yu Qi, her voice filled with anger.
"You bitch! It must be you who framed my husband! Why don't you just leave us alone?" Madam Wang rushed forward, trying to grab Yu Qi's hair, but she was quickly stopped by a policewoman.
"Madam, behave yourself. This is a police station." The officer in charge said in a stern and authoritative tone.
Madam Wang felt intimidated by the officer's presence. She immediately fell silent, though she continued to glare viciously at Yu Qi.
Yu Qi looked at her as if she were nothing more than air. She had no intention of wasting her time talking to such a woman.
"Sir, is it over? I would like to leave if my part is already done." Yu Qi said calmly.
She had already told them everything she knew.
The policemen admired her composure and courage. They did not want to make things more difficult for her.
"Yes, you may leave now. I will handle this case properly. Si Nan, Ah Jeng, escort Miss Yu Qi back to school." The officer instructed his subordinates.
"Thank you, Sir." Yu Qi said as she gave a slight bow to the officer.
"Wait! Why is she leaving? She is the one who framed my husband! Bitch, don't you dare go anywhere!" Once again, Madam Wang tried to lunge forward to grab Yu Qi's hair.
This time, the other policemen did not react quickly enough to stop her. Madam Wang felt a surge of satisfaction inside, thinking that she would finally be able to hurt this girl. However, her satisfaction was shattered instantly when she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. Only then did she realise that Yu Qi had kicked her.
"You kicked me? How dare you?!" Madam Wang screamed in pain as she clutched her stomach.
Yu Qi looked down at Madam Wang coldly, her eyes narrowing dangerously. Unconsciously, she released a faint trace of her murderous aura.
"Then let me ask you something." Yu Qi said in a chilling tone. "How dare you ask someone to kidnap and hurt my boss? How dare you try to take my money? And how dare you even think about selling me into prostitution?"
Everyone in the police station heard her words clearly. They had known about her strained relationship with the Wang Family, but they had never imagined that the family would go this far with such a wicked plan.
"Again and again, you plotted such evil schemes against me. You even used innocent people as tools to harm me. Do you really think I am some kind of saint?" Yu Qi said coldly.
After saying that, Yu Qi quickly turned and left the police station. She was afraid that if she stayed any longer, she might not be able to control herself, and she might truly end up killing that woman.
