The other men started to fight among themselves paying no mind to Jake and I seeing as this was normal for us. Jasper just stood to the side and watched us.
"Well, my sister, you have energy today. What is causing this?" Jake teased me as I dodged one of his attacks with a flash kick back flip off of he stage we were on.
"Maybe you are just being too slow today." I taunt him as he jumps down. I don't give him much time to recover as I am charging him.
He quickly dodges my attack and ends up behind me. I spin around in time to block his attack. The durability of the sword made it easier for me to block him and the weight made it easier for me to do things I was only able to do with a smaller lighter sword. I could tell that this has thrown Jake off for a short amount of time before he adjusts to my maneuvering. Since I was able to do flips now to dodge his attacks which made him run after me. I could see that it was making him tired. We continued as we made our rounds through the training area and over all the equipment.
As I landed on the beam that hung over the stage from the roof tops, Jake gave up. He walked down the steps to the main floor and below me. I was a good fifteen feet in the air but I was comfortable with the height since I am used to crawling all over ships, this was nothing since it actually stayed still.
"Are you done, brother?" I yell out at Jake who just reached the stage.
"You are a crazy lady, who has no sense of a limit. I mean look at you. You aren't even out of breath even after all that you did today. I'm fucking jealous." he says exasperated and out of breath.
"Catch me?" I ask as I turn to dismount the beam and onto the stage.
"Um no. The last time I did that, I was in the infirmary for weeks because I fell for your trick. You and I both know that you will land safely without a scratch. I do not feel like being power slammed face first into the floor with you on top of me again. You almost killed me doing that. So no. Get down yourself, Melia." Jake replied with attitude making me smile.
I decided to do another flash kick back flip from the beam followed by a back handspring to absorb the impact when I reached the ground instead of falling on my ass like you would if you tried to just land the back flip from this height.
Jake walked back into the building so I turned around to go back to my lake house. But something caught my eye. I turned to the side to watch a group of men fighting. It was Jasper and another man that I did not know.
They were very impressive. I could see that they were joking and having a great time by the smiles on their faces. I was fascinated in the way they fought with such familiarity of each other. That must be how Jake and I look.
Then, as if the world knew I was happy, everything came to a stand still as a voice called out my name. I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath as I turned around as everyone but Jasper bowed down and greeted my sisters.
"Yes?" I questioned my sisters. As they walked closer to me while they checked out the men. I could feel Jasper watching me intently from the side.
"That is not an outfit that a lady let alone a princess should be wearing. No wonder everyone is disappointed in you." Chloe says as she looks over my outfit. Hearing her say that to my face stung a lot. Annan even smirked at the notion.
