Vihaan reaches his office and immediately joins the meeting that everyone has been waiting for. The conference room is full of important people. Files are open on the table, and everyone is discussing business matters seriously.
Vihaan sits at the head of the table and focuses on the meeting. His voice is calm and confident while explaining the project plans. Everyone listens carefully because they know Vihaan does not like mistakes or carelessness.
Soon he becomes completely busy with work. Calls, files, discussions, and decisions keep him occupied the whole day.
Hours pass quickly.
Finally, when the work of the day finishes, Vihaan returns home at night.
His house is large and quiet. The lights of the hallway are soft, and the whole place feels peaceful after a long day of work.
Vihaan walks into his room and loosens his tie. He places his phone on the table and sits down on the bed for a moment.
As he removes his watch from his wrist, his eyes stop on it.For a moment he just looks at the watch silently. And suddenly… a memory comes into his mind.He remembers the auto ride from the morning.
He remembers Kanak standing close to him while trying to remove her dupatta from his watch.
And slowly he remembers the way a few strands of her hair were flying near her face.
Vihaan leans back slightly and keeps looking at the watch.
For the first time that day, a small smile appears on his face.
He quietly thinks about that moment again.
Her confused expression…
Her soft voice when she said "Thank you."
Vihaan shakes his head a little as if trying to push the thought away.
But somehow the memory stays in his mind.
After some time he finally goes to sleep.
In morning...
The bright sunlight enters the room through the window.
The sunlight falls directly on Vihaan's face.
Because of the light, Vihaan slowly opens his eyes.
He sits up and rubs his eyes slightly.
Another busy day is waiting for him.
Vihaan gets ready for the office just like every morning. He wears his formal suit, checks his watch, and picks up his car keys.
Soon he leaves the house and starts driving toward his office.
The morning traffic is already starting on the roads.
While driving, Vihaan is thinking about the meetings scheduled for today.
But suddenly his eyes notice something on the roadside.
A familiar figure is standing there.
A girl is waving her hand toward the road.
"Auto… Auto…"
Vihaan looks carefully.
Is she....
She is standing near the roadside trying to stop an auto.
Kanak looks slightly worried.
"Auto, Auto…," she calls again.
Then she mutters to herself in frustration,
"Shit… today also I will be late."
Today Kanak is wearing a white suit with a red dupatta.
She looks simple but very beautiful.
For a moment Vihaan keeps looking at her from inside the car.
Then he slows down the car.
Instead of driving away, he stops the car right beside Kanak.
Kanak suddenly looks toward the car.
Vihaan lowers the window of his car and looks at her.
"Not getting an auto?" he asks calmly.
Kanak is surprised to see him.
For a moment she just look at him in shock.
Before she can say anything, Vihaan continues,
"Come. I will drop you."
He points toward the road ahead.
"I am also going the same way. Your college is on my route."
Kanak immediately looks away.
Her expression changes.
She folds her arms and replies coldly,
"No. You go wherever you want. I will go by myself."
Vihaan got irritate..
"Hi I just wanted to help you only... I saw you in struggle like last yesterday morning so just thought to only help you"
Kanak continues speaking with irritation.
"People like you are everywhere."
She says angrily,
"You see a girl and immediately start following her."
Hearing this, Vihaan's expression changes completely.
He feels sudden anger.
He quickly opens the car door and steps out.
Before Kanak can react, he walks toward her and holds her wrist firmly.
"What did you just say?" he asks sharply.
"You think I am following you?"
Kanak tries to pull her hand back.
"Yes," she replies angrily.
"I know people like you very well."
She struggles to free her hand.
"Leave my hand… otherwise I will shout."
Vihaan's anger grows stronger.
"You think I am some cheap guy?" he says.
"How dare you say something like that about me?"
Kanak looks directly into his eyes.
"You look like one."
That is enough to make the situation worse.
Before Vihaan can say anything else
SLAP!
Suffice it to say that Kanak slapped Vihaan
Kanak slaps him across the face.
The sound is loud enough to make both of them freeze for a moment.
Vihaan stands completely shocked.
Kanak quickly pulls her hand away from his grip.
Without saying another word, she turns around and runs.
Within seconds she disappears
Vihaan is still standing on the road.
His face shows anger, shock, and disbelief at the same time.
No one has ever slapped him like this before.
After a few moments he clenches his jaw in frustration.
He turns around and walks back to his car.
He sits inside and starts the engine.
His mind is still replaying the moment again and again.
He drives toward his office with visible anger.
When Vihaan reaches the office, he walks inside quickly.
The employees greet him, but he does not respond much.
He goes directly to his cabin and sits down in his chair.
For a moment he rests his elbow on the table and touches his forehead.
His mind keeps returning to the same moment.
Kanak's slap.
He feels angry again.
"How dare she…" he mutters quietly.
But then another thought comes.
He realizes something.
Kanak probably misunderstood him.
She thought he was trying to follow her.
Vihaan sighs deeply.
"What a mess…"
He leans back in his chair.
The anger is still there, but somewhere inside he also knows that the situation went wrong very quickly.
Now he does not know what to do about it.
But one thing is certain.
Even though he wants to forget this moment…
