Poor child, used as a tool from birth.
Sylvan Cheney strode towards the delivery room.
Upon entering, he saw several nurses standing nervously by the door, whispering and at a loss.
When they saw Sylvan Cheney approaching, they fell silent and stopped talking.
Sylvan Cheney indifferently placed his hands in the pockets of his trousers. It was the quietest moment of the night.
"Mr. Evan, you're here. Miss Janus is resting in the room, with someone accompanying her," a nurse said.
"Where's the child?"
"Dr. Andy is holding her, a beautiful little girl. Since Miss Janus was emotional after giving birth, Dr. Andy took the baby to a special nursery to calm her. Once she is soothed, he will bring the baby to Miss Janus. Mr. Evan, why don't you go see Miss Janus first? Her emotions are unstable and she may need some comfort. As her husband, your presence is best," the nurse responded politely.
Sylvan Cheney said nothing more, glanced at them, and turned around.
He went to the room.
