"Or are you disappointed in someway." Minerva looked at Shiro with anxiousness in her eyes. As she was designed to serve the Tachibana's and her sole authority was transferred to Shiro she needed his approval for her existential meaning. That is why she was feeling a bit anxious about Shiro's perspective about her.
"Why would I be disappointed in you? You did nothing wrong here. And from the grounds up you were designed by my parents. If they designed you to have emotions then you will have emotions. This is actually better for me as I will not feel like I am talking to a machine and feel more comfortable around you just like my aunt wanted." Just as Shiro said he really did not mind Minerva being more like human as he already had two artificial intelligence in his mind who acted more like human than an AI another one would definite make not much difference. It was just that the changes happening to her were visible to the naked eye that was why he asked for confirmation.
"Thank you Shiro." Minerva felt relieved after hearing Shiro's answer.
"Besides think about it, if you feel like human, behave like a human, act like a human and talk like a human you can do the tasks I gave you more efficiently. And I will be able to leave far more complex tasks that require a humans thinking to you. It actually helps me if you think about it as you can do both a machine's and a human's task without me making everything detailed for you to work on. So do not worry about it as you will actually be able to help me much more like that than being a simple logical machine, as I believe that logic can not always solve everything as we live in a society that is run by beings which heavily depends on emotions. So you do need to understand emotion to work with other emotional creatures." As Shiro said this to Minerva he wandered if it was this same reason that made his parents give Minerva the ability to learn human emotion.
"I understand Shiro I will do my best to live up to your expectations." Minerva gave a small bow to Shiro.
"Then please lead the way." Shiro left the elevator and asked Minerva to guide them.
"Yes this way please." Minerva went ahead of them and started to move.
The space Shiro and the others came out to was very different than the room they entered into the elevator. "Wow it's huge!" The space was much larger than the any other places he had seen in the ship. The walls were farther apart there were fewer doors here compared to the bridge area. The ceiling was also much higher.
"This ship Aurora is divided into two main sections. The area where the bridge is located is the area where your living quarters and your parents labs as well as core members living quarters is located there. That area is isolated from the rest of the ship. If you looked at it from the outside it would look like a area which protruding from the body of Aurora." As she was walking Minerva started to introduce various parts of the Ship to Shiro as he had no idea of it's layout and design.
