"I thought you said my family knew about Sam's betrayal?" Shiro looked confused if there were so many measures against the outsiders then why let Sam have access to them since there was the possibility of him doing what he did.
"They did but they could not simply go and accuse them. That would have been bad for their plan. Besides they did not expect Sam to be so heartless. They thought he would at most sabotage the ship and steal the research data and technologies. They did not expect Sam to kill the people he was friends with for so many years." Shiro's parents were prepared for Sam's betrayal but they were not prepared for Sam to massacre everyone on Aurora. Minerva looked sad while she explained this to Shiro.
"I see. I understand what you are saying. I guess you can never be hundred percent prepare for something there will always be a chance of failure no matter how miniscule it is." Shiro sighed while looking sad and angry after he heard Minerva. as if he suddenly noticed something Shiro looked at Minerva and kept staring at her.
Not understanding why Shiro was looking at her so intensely Minerva asked while slightly tilting her head. "Shiro is there something on my face?"
"No nothing." Shiro replied negatively to Minerva. And looked at the girls. "Hey girls."
""Yes."" Both Rin and Arturia who were silent up until now replied simultaneously.
"Did you guys notice something weird about Minerva?" Shiro asked the girls while pointing at Minerva.
Just as he was asking that the elevator reached it's destination and stopped. With a whooshing sound the door of the elevator opened. But Shiro was not actually paying any attention to that rather he was actually still looking at Minerva.
"Is it just me or Minerva is showing signs of emotions?" He pointed at Minerva and asked the girls.
No Shiro it is not just you She is indeed showing signs of emotions and her speech patterns are becoming more and more human like." Rin agreed to what Shiro was saying about Minerva as she also noticed it.
"Yes I agree Shiro. Before when she was talking it was still human like but there was this feeling of it not being natural but now it is more natural and human like." As Arturia said before Minerva was simply imitating humans. As she was trying to follow Melinda's instruction. But there was this feeling of the person and the voice not syncing up.
"Exactly. That is exactly what I am feeling." After listening to Arturia Shiro exclaimed as he was feeling the exact same thing as her. "But not only her speech is more human like now but she is showing emotions like sadness concern and some other signs of emotions." Shiro looked art Minerva and asked her for confirmation. "Am I wrong about that Minerva?"
"No you are not Shiro." Minerva Smiled a little and replied to Shiro. "I am still learning. I was created with the intention of having emotions. But I was not built with emotions and character profiles like Rin and Arturia. Instead I was made so that I could learn and develop on my own and I have much more restrictions imposed upon me than Rin and Arturia. My logical side gets priority over my emotions. As unlike you I do not have a dedicated artificial intelligent for that. As for why you guys felt my behavior was out of sync, it was because I was acting like a human as per Melinda's request before I learned more about emotions' was asked by Melinda to approach you like that so that you do not get startled. As you would not have anyone to support you and you might freak out if some machine approached you like what I did."
