SOPHIA'S POV:
Hanging out with these guys and watching all different types of movie genres is about to come to an end. This is my last day of heat, the last day of me pretending like I'm still my old self. I don't know why me and the guys didn't discuss this sooner but as the conversation continues I have more questions than answers. " So wait how are these introduction ceremonies suppose to go exactly? I mean with everything being so different it's kind of hard for me to keep track of it all." On top of trying to understand the traditions I haven't heard anything from my wolf during the entire heat until today. Athena has been begging me to let her out and I don't even know what that means.
" okay, so since we've been staying in my kingdom and all of my people want to meet the new rulers of the vampire relm, you will be introduced here first. The ceremony will happen three weeks from today and during these three weeks you will be training and learning how to fight against and defeat a vampire. We train until the day of the ceremony to prepare for a fight if one might happen. The ceremony starts with me being introduced as the king first. Then once I've been introduced and crowned as the king you come out and walk down the isle wearing a white dress. While standing by my side we ask if anyone in the crowed objects and if they do you must fight them to prove your strength. Afterwards I pretty much bite your neck and then you get crowned as the queen. Any questions?"
I shake my head no and look at Jacob waiting for him to explain his version of the introduction ceremony. " Okay, I guess I'm next then. So as alpha of the blue moon pack everyone already knows who I am, no offense." He raises his hands up in a surrendering position towards Connor and clears his throat before continuing. " But it does seem a bit distasteful, for the introduction ceremony we meet the pack in the center of our territory, which would be the woods. We would then shift together into our wolves and run off to um be alone." He raises his eyebrows and I only respond with a confused facial expression. " I don't understand what you mean exactly?" I sit up straighter on the bed waiting for him to explain. " To be blunt we have to fuck in our wolf forms and I have to mark you."
I honestly wasn't expecting him to say that let alone for us to even have to have sex. " I don't think that I can do that. I'm just not ready for sex right now I mean yeah I know you guys but I want to have sex on my terms not because of some stupid tradition." When I manage to look at Jacob I saw a mixture of emotions mainly hurt. To make it worse he cant leave the room to deal with his emotions until tomorrow so all he does is nod his head and sit down by the window. " Um, I can think about it I mean it's just a lot to take in you know. I have to train and decide if I'm ready for our relationship to take that step." Looking over at him I can see that he's still slightly mad but accepts my decision once again. " And with all of this marking going on what gonna happen exactly like do I just have a bunch of marks from all of you or does it turn into one mark all together?" I look at the guys for an explanation but no one seem to have any.
" Okay why don't I tell you about my introduction ceremony. it's a lot less marking and mating involved." Xavier gets comfortable next to me and waits for any interruptions. When there aren't any he continues. " So we take two weeks to practice spells starting with the basics and then we work our way up. After learning and practicing as many spells as you can you go through a set of trials that include the spells you've learned. Afterwards if you complete the trials and pass we pretty much throw a party celebrating you and then you'll be a full member of the coven." I nod my head at the explanation, it's the easiest one that I've heard so far, and I'm excited to learn spells and tap into my magic.
" Well the introduction ceremony for hybrids is the same as werewolves. Soo anybody want some snacks?" Tucker says holding out a bag of Cheetos while popping one into his mouth. " So I pretty much have to choose between the two of you who gets to take my virginity? That's not a stressful situation at all." I start laughing nervously and put my head into the palm of my hands. " Well, you don't actually have to give one of them your virginity, I mean you can decide on who you feel the closest to and the one you trust the most. I know that this seems a bit more complicated but it doesn't necessary say that you have to be a virgin for the rituals and it's not expected. Especially with you just now discovering that you have all of these abilities and the mating bond, just take time for yourself and discover what it is that you want." Connor says reaching over and taking a handful of Cheetos out of the bag earning an irritated look from Tucker.
The rest of the night is spent in awkward silence with nothing but criminal minds playing on the television. We ate dinner in silence, something we haven't done since the second night we spent together, going to sleep was even worse I almost didn't manage to until I felt myself being pulled by waist and turn around seeing Jacob who pulls me into a tight hug. " I'm not mad, I understand why you're nervous about everything and I know that you have a lot on your mind right now. So let's just get some sleep and take it one ceremony at a time." He smiles kissing the top of my head and slowly rubbing my back until I fall asleep.
I smell the sweet scent of roses and nectar telling me that I'm in my mothers garden. It still feels weird for me to use that word but I will admit that I'm starting to get use to it. " Okay, so we have a lot of things to talk about." I open my eyes seeing her, the moon goddess patiently waiting for me to sit next to her on the porch swing. I acknowledge the light pink flowy dress, her hair in a high ponytail with a flower crown adorning her head. But what mainly catches my attention are the old looking books and scrolls laid out on the table in front of her. I slowly make my way up the stairs scared that this might turn into some kind of nightmare earning a light-hearted laugh from the goddess in front of me. " Come one you have nothing to be afraid of I'm here to help you with these decisions you have to make and give you a bit of history behind the reasoning for them." Sliding onto the swing carefully so I don't cause it to push back to far I notice the desserts and tea set out on a smaller table away from the old looking books. " Let's get started shall we?"
