Chapter 30 - °Thirty•Becareful!°

The stare was extremely immense. I could feel the invisible laser hot eyes beaming through my skull and burn my skin. I watched him mouth something to Rhea which caused her to jolt her head up to my direction. I slowly peeled myself away from the window and went over to my guardian angel. I need to alert her about this.

About the big guy with white long hair. Half of it was pulled up into a bun and the rest was left to drape over his shoulders. He is a lot taller than I am and seemed to be very buffed as well. He's wearing a loose long-sleeved top that falls down to just above his knees. He wears loose tracksuit-like pants under and has a sash that is neatly placed on his shoulder down to his abdomen.

I focused on my body which is now at the entrance of the tower. I sped up my flying and zoomed towards my guardian angel. "Hey, hey, hey, you need to be careful. I saw someone who has white hair, is tall and is buff upstairs, he looks very strong..." I warned her, she cursed under her breath. I looked at her shocked. It is kinda out of character for her to cuss.... right?

"I was a normal human too before I became this very polite guardian angel. It's tiring to constantly be polite, 'aight, Arran?" she stated and rolled her eyes. I could only nod in agreement. I guess everyone was young someday. "The guy you mentioned might be Victor Reece. He's the Lord of Spirits and to be honest, he doesn't deserve the title. I don't know if he had any reasons to do any of the many evil things he did but they're still bad nonetheless," she explained while adding a tiny bit of hatred in the sentence.

"I think he can see me..." I expressed my concern. She only nodded. I flew up the curved staircase in the tower ahead of her. "Do you have any plan?" I asked. "No, just go in and charge forward, get Rhea and run," she stated. I looked at her in terror, "What do you mean?! are you seriously kidding me right now?"

She snickered, "no, you fart brain. I need you to distract Victor while I sneak in to rescue Rhea," she said, still running up the stairs at a face pace. I nodded and zoomed up the tower and as soon as I reached the top, I kicked the door that's separating me and Victor. His attention immediately went to me and Rhea looked in my direction too. I don't think she can see me but I bet she knew I was here. No, I'm sure of it. I could see her tears forming and rolling down her already stained cheeks.

"Oh ho ho! Would you look at that! Your little toy boy is here to save you!" the person who I assume as Victor teased and laughed about it. I clenched my fists as the hand that held her chin flung her face to the other side. "He's not my toy boy!" she growled lowly. I flew across the room as he turns his body to face me. "What do you want, toyboy? What can you even do?" he snickered.

"Let her go! What's so bad in blessing a human anyway?" I yelled across the room at him. As soon as the statement 'blessing a human' came out of my mouth, her laugh stopped and he became furious. He took a few warning steps towards me. "Blessing a human is forbidden!" he roared.

I could see my body sneaking into the tower and hid in the very few tables and boxes located around the room. "Even if it's forbidden, you don't have to torture her to death!" I hissed at him angrily. He walked towards me and his speed increasing slowly. His feet thumping the floor. He pulled his hands up and aimed to strangle me but I quickly dodged that and flew away

As his attention is focused on me, my guardian angel tried to unlock the thing chains. I'm sure she'll need more time. So, I went over to him and punched him and immediately fly away right after. His eyes turned red in anger. His fists were balled up as well. His head slowly turns to me and charged towards me. His hands rapidly swinging and I was able to dodge most of them.

A single punch landed on my chin caught me off-guard and threw me against the wall. I bounced back from the wall and dropped to the ground. He thumped closer to me. I assume to stomp on me. My heart started to race, I couldn't get up! My soul was getting weaker and I don't know what will happen to me after this. I pushed myself up and flew up. I saw that my guardian angel has already gotten Rhea down, she would need time to get out too...

I brave myself to kick Victor in the face but he was able to catch my feet. Oh no, this isn't good at all. He pulled me back and flung me into the wall again. I might disappear after this... I shut my eyes to embrace the impact but I could feel my body being sucked into my physical body. "Geez! I almost died!" I half yelled. I had Rhea passed out on my back and we were running down the stairs. "Why are we running? Can't you just teleport us back?" I asked as we heard a loud and angry roar behind us.

" Unfortunately, I am not able to do so, I wasted so much magic and energy to get into your body and maintain your soul from getting crushed by Victor. If I use teleportation right now, your soul will be stuck here and you are not able to maintain your soul by yourself," she stated as she ran us down. "I've contacted Rio, there's an opening in the forest nearby to go back to the forest and back into the lost path. He'll be waiting there with some other spirits to fetch us," she informed.

She got the double-bladed swords ready as we were nearing the entrance of the tower. I could hear Victor getting closer. "Let my soul out for one more moment please!" I pleaded. "No! it's really risky!" she yelled at me. "Please, he's gonna catch up to us, get Rio to instruct Crys to me when you reached there," I said, "I'll be fine."

She sighed and used a little energy she has left to pull my soul out of my body. I flew over to Victor who was really not that far behind. "Miss me?" I asked. He stopped in his tracts and swing his arms to get me but I was able to dodge it. "Where is Rhea?" he growled. I shrugged my shoulders and gave his arm a kick before flying away from him.

I flew around him to annoy him and hopefully distract him too. But I guess he was tired of it. He groaned in frustration and proceeded to run down the stairs, ignoring me.

I flew over to him again and gave him another kick. This time, he did not give a response and continued to journey down the stairs. I kicked him over and over but no response whatsoever. I decided to fly down to the entrance and block it.

As I approached the door, I looked for my guardian angel and my blesser which were both not seen anywhere. I heaved a sigh of relief and flew out to look for them. However, they were nowhere in sight.

A loud howl was heard, "Arran! Watch out!"
