Chapter 31 - °Thirty-One•Back°

Without hesitation, I slid forward and looked back to check out what the howl was for. Victor. Victor filled my vision. He jumped up and was about to pounce on me. I stared at him in shock before actually shielding myself and try to run away. A beautiful light grey fur wolf came to my vision as it kicked Victor away.

Multiple footsteps were heard running towards my direction. I turned back around to see Rio and a few of his guards. "Arran, boy, are you okay?" he asked. I only nodded, "though I'm not in my body so I don't know how my body is holding up right now..."

Crys snuggled my leg from behind and I picked him up to give him a hug, "Thank you for saving me back there, I don't know what would happen to my soul if I was crushed by him."

"Yeah, yeah, if we don't run, we'll be the ones that are crushed by him," Crys stated. I took a glace back to see that Victor was already getting up. I flew up while carrying Crys and flew forward, "Rio, we really need to run."

"You guys go ahead, I have a few words with old Reece here," Rio replied sternly. "Are you sure you'll be fine?" I asked worriedly. As if he knew I would turn back to look at him, he just nodded and raised his hand up to usher us to leave.

I sighed and flew towards the forest. I landed myself right in front of the forest and tried to visualize the map that's drawn in my brain. I quickly mapped out the route I needed to take and ran as quick as I could. "Arran, are you sure you know where to go?" Crystal asked.

"I have the map on the back of my mind. Don't worry, I won't get us lost," I assured him. He nodded and snuggled up against me. I continued running past trees after trees. Every step I took, it felt as if I was getting weaker and weaker. I looked at my hands. I was fading. I was flashing and nearly disappearing. What was going on?

I didn't know what was happening but I was scared. I quickly mapped out the route to Crys, "Crys, if I'm gone, remember to keep running following the route I just told you. You can't make any mistakes!" I said strictly. He looked at me sad, "What's happening, Arran?"

I kept running, "My guardian angel's energy might be running out," I assumed. "What if I transfer some energy to you?" he asked. "I don't know, you could try if you want to," I said. I was unsure if it would work since the one contributing to my soul getting out of my body was my guardian angel.

He shut his eyes, power and energy radiating from his body. A huge amount of energy was absorbed by my soul and I stopped flashing and fading. "Crys, it worked," I smiled. He nodded and snuggled closer to me, "except I'm exhausted now," he said, "let me take a rest."

I nodded and gave him a pat. Not even for a second that I stopped running, I needed to get back a soon as I could. As soon as I got tired of running, I flew up and zoomed past trees left and right, remembering the route closely so I don't miss my turn.

"He should be fine, I have healed all his wounds," I heard a very familiar voice said. What had happened? I tried to peel my eyes open, the bright sunlight blinded my vision as I struggle to have my eyes open. The last thing I remembered was getting to my own body and have my soul go back into my body, what happened after I got back?

"He's awake!" a happy bark was heard. A woman who I recognize as my guardian angel came over to help me up. She has a physical form? Since when?

"What happened?" those were the first words that came out of my mouth as soon as I was able to speak. I looked around, Rio was on a chair beside me, my guardian angel who helped me out was on the other side, Crys was on the bed with me and Rhea was standing at the end of the bed.

"The moment you got back into your body, you fainted, I'm guessing it's because your body was too exhausted," my guardian angel said. I paid no attention to it entered my left ear and left the other. My eyes was set on Rhea, "Rhea, you're okay!" I smiled.

"Well, more or less, yeah. You've been asleep for a few days now, we were getting worried," she snickered. She then gave me a warm smile. I heard Rio clearing tis throat to grab our attention, "so how are you feeling now, Arran?" he asked. Crys crawled towards me and I pulled him into my embrace, "I think I'm alright," I said, doubting myself too for a moment.

I turned to my guardian angel, "since when did you have a physical form?" she just chuckled, "while you were unconscious, I've been practicing some of my powers to get my physical form," she explained. "Mhm, Athea have been gone after leaving me here," Rhea stated.

"Athea?" I asked. "Oh, that would be me," my guardian angel spoke, "Athea about be my name," she introduced. I only nodded. It's been a few days and I've already missed so much!

I shook my head. My body don't feel sore and numb anymore and I could actually feel all my limbs. I then remembered about my friends back in the mental asylum. Right, I promised we'd get out together. "Um, guys, I have a favor to ask from you guys," I started, looking at them one-by-one.

"What is it?" Rhea asked. I took a deep breath, I don't know if they would even agree to it. "Well remember when I was thrown into a mental asylum?" I asked. I saw Athea nod from the corner of my eyes. "Well, I wanted to save the people that have helped me there. I wonder if you guys would help me save them," I said.
