Theofylaktos' POV
Back in the Alnus Base while the diplomacy between Falmart and the Japanese-MPC side continues, the forged native blades we had commissioned to the blacksmiths were finally done. The blacksmiths, all 20 from two domains within Falmart, presented the newly forged metallic blades to us. Most of us inspected the blades according to our cultural and national backgrounds of the MPC nations back on Earth. The blades were well-made, and the metal used had been the common iron.
"How was it?" one of the twenty blacksmiths asked while sweating buckets.
"It was well-designed and decent," Armando replied while inspecting the blade of his Faca de Ponta.
"The iron was strong," Odesa added while running her finger on the flat side of her Bolo, "and looks authentic.
Nearby, Elio wielded his Italian Schiavona in an open field. "Sì, è davvero fantastico! (Yes, this is so cool in Italian)!"
"Terima kasih untuk pisaunya (Thanks for the blades in Indonesian)!" Buana chirped while holding her Indonesian Badik, which was a short knife or dagger traditionally forged and carried by the Bugis and Makassar people of South Sulawesi.
"Bıçaklar için teşekkürler (Thanks for the blades in Turkish)!" one Turkish MİT agent added while wielding his Turkish Kilij blade.
JSDF General Hazama was in awe to see the newly forged blades, while James, Buana, Ruy, Osmanek, and Margaret prepared snacks for the blacksmiths who had to travel over by JSDF Humvees. I, on the other hand, wielded my Greek Xiphos, a straight, double-edged short-sword. Man, that sword was super cool as heck.
And so, by 10:29 a.m., the MPC agents and I demonstrated how we would wield our newly forged blades to the JSDF and the curious Falmart soldiers and blacksmiths. I wielded my Greek Xiphos, while Ester wielded her small Brazilian Chimango and attacked a dummy scarecrow with it. James slashed the head of a scarecrow with his small Balisong.
I slashed my scarecrow with my Xiphos in 20 seconds flat.
"Their blades are quite impressive," one JSDF soldier commented.
"And their skills with these cool blades are quite impressive," Kuribayashi added.
"Cool, isn't it?" Armando grinned at them for a few moments.
He then wielded his Brazilian Faca Sorocabana blade and sliced a scarecrow in half with one slice.
