Fuyōna had just sealed Han away, resulting in Iwa losing another of its Jinchūriki, leaving them with none. Now this would give the allied forces the opportunity to take Kannabi bridge, seeing that the only ones left to stand in their way were mere Iwa shinobi.
"Don't waste this opportunity that Lord Mizukage has given us, take those Iwa bastards down!" The Mist captain yelled out, getting the others to pile onto the bridge as they attacked, overwhelming the Stone shinobi with their numbers.
"N-No way!"
"What happened to Han, I thought he was taking care of this!" Some of the Iwa ninja shouted, not sure what had happened from their safe distance.
Shikaku and the others also pressed on the attack, using Choza's super expansion jutsu to easily knock the Stone shinobi away from the bridge, pushing the survivors over to the other side.
"We can't stop them!" One of them yelled, knowing that the Leaf and Mist were too strong now.
"We can't let them take the bridge, even if it costs us our lives!" The captain of the Stone ninja shouted, trying his best to maintain order amongst his troops.
"We will fight to the last!"
Meanwhile, in the land of Frost...
Mei had been able to contain Yugito, the second-tailed Jinchūriki in a giant water prison jutsu after an epic clash between the two Kunoichi. The only thing she had to worry about now was none other than, Darui of the black lightning, one of the main generals of the hidden Cloud village's armies.
Darui had rushed down to try and save Yugito after witnessing her battle with Mei. However, he had been too late and was now forced to fight Mei, for a second time.
"I won't let you take lady Yugito!" Darui said as he pushed his sword harder against Mei's kunai, trying to push her back.
Mei resisted his force with her own, matching him in strength.
"I'm afraid you are mistaken. This time, I won't let you get away." Mei said as she used her free hand to blow a kiss of molten lava at him, forcing Darui to retreat back as he let a water wall burst up to protect him from the mass of water he now found himself standing on.
"I hope you didn't forget who you are fighting here!" Mei shouted as she made a series of hand signs, skidding back along the water as she did so.
Darui did the same, knowing that he was going to have to fight with everything he had right from the get-go, not holding anything back.
"I just hope you will forgive me for beating up a lady such as yourself," Darui said as he unleashed his most powerful jutsu.
"Lightning style, Black panther!" He yelled, creating the powerful lightning-style jutsu, watching as it crackled and roared before he sent it flying toward Mei.
Mei remembered him using this technique last time, knowing how powerful it was.
"That won't work this time," Mei said, having already prepared herself for this attack.
When Mei had used her lava style to get Darui to jump back, she had also taken the time to create two water clones that had been hiding in the water until now.
Both of them suddenly revealed themselves, bursting free of the water as they each formed hand signs before unleashing their own jutsu.
"Combination attack, bite of the thunder dragon!" Mei yelled out as she and both of her clones unleashed the impressive water and lightning-style combo, watching as the jutsu mixed together forming a massive lightning-water dragon mix.
Darui was shocked at the size of her jutsu, watching while his black panthers clashed with the lightning dragon, only to be crushed and consumed by the powerful combination of the water and lightning mixed together.
"No way..." Darui said, watching as the water dragon bit down on another of his black panthers, crushing it as the lightning flared to life in its eyes before it came crashing down toward him.
Darui was forced to jump back as far as he could, knowing that if that jutsu hit him it would be game over for him, not wanting to be killed just yet.
-----
The Leaf and Mist forces in the land of Grass had now taken over Kannabi bridge, forcing the Stone shinobi into their final defensive position in the tree line behind.
Fuyōna took his time to assess the situation, knowing that more Stone shinobi were on the way thanks to his sage mode. He also knew that a certain someone was resting in the water below the bridge, having taken a lot of damage in stopping Han's tail's beast bomb.
"That Mangetsu... I certainly didn't expect him to do something like that," Fuyōna said to himself as he created an ice mirror next to him and reached into it with his arm before he pulled Mangetsu out next to him.
Mangetsu looked shocked as he got dragged through the ice mirror, taking a look around before seeing Fuyōna standing before him.
"Well... It's about damn time you got here. Seriously, you expected me to take that fucker down on my own like that?" Mangetsu said, complaining right away despite his injuries.
Fuyōna couldn't help but laugh a little, glad to see that his pride was still in tact.
"I'm happy you are alive, Mangetsu." He said, causing Mangetsu's face to drop.
"What, you expected me to be dead?" He said, crossing his arms.
"Well... Not dead." Fuyōna said, joking with him slightly.
"However, I need you to stay back and get some rest. Things are about to get worse before they get better." Fuyōna said, growing serious all of a sudden.
Mangetsu wasn't sure what was going on but knew better than to question it.
"I'll follow your lead." He said as he uncrossed his arms and placed his sword onto his back, pulling it out of his liquid body where he kept it for safe keeping.
"Now Choza!" Shikaku shouted.
"Got ya!" Choza yelled as he used his expansion jutsu to grow his hand giant, creating a large shadow that covered all of the Stone ninja in their trench.
"What the hell is that?" One of them asked, not sure what was going on.
"Now!" Shikaku yelled, getting the other Nara clan members to all use their shadow possession jutsu at the same time, capturing all of the Stone ninjas that were left at the same time, leaving them helpless.
"Shadow possession jutsu complete." He said with a smile, knowing that this would be the end for them.
"Now!" He shouted, giving the command to the others, waiting for them to unleash a powerful jutsu combo to take them all out at the same time.
However, nothing happened, causing Shikaku to look around to try and see what they were doing.
"What are you waiting for? Finish them off already!" He shouted as he looked at another Leaf shinobi's expression.
Shikaku turned back around to see what the man was looking at, laying his eyes on none other than Ōnoki, the 3rd Tsuchikage.
"The Tsuchikage..." Shikaku said, knowing that things were about to get really bad for them now that he had appeared.
"If he has come to the frontlines, then things are really getting bad..." He said before giving the order to release the shadow possession jutsu, not wanting to risk anything at the moment.
Ōnoki was floating above the ground with his arms crossed over his chest, looking at all of the Mist and Leaf shinobi, impressed that Shikaku had the insight to release his men for his jutsu.
A large number of Stone shinobi had also arrived with him, looking like a massive amount of reinforcements, not giving Shikaku any confidence in what had been their advantage before.
"Seems I arrived just in time," Ōnoki said as he opened his arms and placed his hands together as if he was about to prepare an attack, causing the allied forces to grow tense.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Lord Tsuchikage." A voice suddenly bellowed from the rear of the allied forces, getting everyone's attention.
Ōnoki stopped what he was doing for a moment to look at the one who had dared tell him what to do.
The allied forces made way and quickly stepped to the side as Fuyōna walked through the ranks, heading to the front so he could meet Ōnoki face to face on the battlefield.
"I see... The 5th Mizukage, also known as the Kage slayer." Ōnoki said, knowing who he was.
Fuyōna smiled, making sure to look Ōnoki in the eye while he greeted him.
"Greetings lord, Tsuchikage."
"Yes, I suppose this is our first time meeting one another." Ōnoki then said as he lowered his hands.
"Please, lord Tsuchikage. Must we continue fighting among ourselves over nothing?" Fuyōna said, hoping that he might be able to reason with the old geezer.
Ōnoki didn't look impressed before he crossed his arms over his chest again.
"Meaningless?"
"Do you think I am not aware of your tactics? Not only have you killed my scouts along our border, but your men completely decimated one of my camps, filled with civilians as well as many of my shinobi." Ōnoki said, clearly very pissed off.
"You also killed one of my best, Roshi. And if I am correct you have just done the same with Han..." Ōnoki said, not quite believing that he had been able to take both of them down. Knowing that the rumours of his strength were no joke.
"I guess when you put it like that, it sounds pretty bad..." Fuyōna said as he scratched his chin, not sure how else to respond to that one.
"However, many things have happened in this war so far. But, you and I could end all of that here and now." Fuyōna said, trying one last time to reason with him.
Ōnoki took a moment to think about his offer before he frowned.
"I grow tired of these meaningless words. I have come here myself to put a stop to this fight and lead my army into the land of fire!" Ōnoki yelled out, giving Fuyōna the impression he was about to unleash a powerful attack.
"Now, be gone with you!" Ōnoki yelled out as he formed a series of rapid hand signs and fired a particle-style square at Fuyōna, trying to attack while he was off guard, trapping him inside of the large square.
"Turn to dust!" Ōnoki yelled out as the jutsu took hold, reducing everything that was trapped inside of the square into atoms, breaking down anything it touched in an instant.
"What the hell was that jutsu?" Mangetsu asked himself as he watched from the sidelines with the others, not being able to see Fuyōna anywhere.
"Did he really get him?"
"So that is the particle-style... How truly terrifying..." Shikaku said, not knowing how they would be able to defeat someone like the Tsuchikage alone, given that he had even killed the Mizukage with only one attack.
The rest of the allied forces took a step back, not sure how they would be able to fight something like that, growing extremely tense.
"Now, now, Ōnoki... That wasn't very nice." Fuyōna said, surprising everyone who had seen what had happened, causing the allied forces to almost take a breath of relief.
"Hmmm... I should have known you wouldn't be that easy." Ōnoki said as he turned around to look at Fuyōna, who was currently sitting cross-legged on one of his ice mirrors while it floated in the air, not seeming to have a care in the world that he had just tried to kill him.
"Very well. It's time I stopped playing around. Launch the assault!" Ōnoki yelled, giving the order for his men to attack, getting a battle cry from the army behind him as they started charging toward the bridge.
"I will deal with you myself." Ōnoki then said as he looked back at Fuyōna, getting ready to attack him head-on.
Fuyōna sighed as he rested his chin on his fist, knowing there was no avoiding it any longer. Knowing it was time to put a stop to the Stone's cocky advancements once and for all.
"So be it... Let us end this."
