A grey-robed wizard of third-level wizard status darted through midair in the Heavenly Pit, constantly changing directions to avoid the numerous tentacle attacks of the Energy Octopus. Yet ultimately, one of the tentacles caught up, lashing across the wizard's body surface.
"Smack!"
Bright lights erupted from the wizard's body surface, instantly shattering all three Energy Shields. With a "humph," the wizard spat out a mouthful of blood, his face pale as he crashed to the ground severely injured.
The rest of the wizards' faces changed upon witnessing this sight, becoming acutely aware of the Energy Octopus's power—having absorbed the attacks from so many of them without much harm, and able to easily incapacitate a wizard with a single strike, it seemed that, should the Energy Octopus unleash its full power, it could potentially eliminate any one of them instantly.
