Silas Caldwell turned and called Tessa Caldwell.
Tessa Caldwell, elated, answered Silas Caldwell's call: "Silas, where did you go? Don't you know you're still injured?"
"Sis, my injuries are fine," Silas replied. After a pause, he continued, "I'm sorry, Sis, for worrying you and Dad, but don't blame me for being impulsive again. This time, I've thought it through."
Listening to his apologetic tone, Tessa sighed, "Whether you've thought it through or not, and no matter where you're going, you should at least come home first to grab some clothes."
"Don't worry, Sis. I'm at a friend's house, everything's handled. Let Dad know I'm doing well. I'll call you both later."
With that, Silas hung up.
Tessa anxiously said, "Silas, wait..."
But on the other end, there was only the beeping sound.
She rubbed her temples, holding the phone, ready to call Dad Caldwell.
Unexpectedly, Dad's phone couldn't be reached. During her lunch break, she took a taxi back to the Caldwell Family house.
