"Charlotte and Caleb, truth or dare?"asked Princess smiling coyly
"Truth,"said Charlotte looking at, Princess suspiciously "I hope she's not up to something." thought Charlotte inwardly
"Dare,"said Caleb
"You guys have to pick one,"said Princess frankly
"Okay we choose truth,"said Caleb looking at Charlotte and she agreed
"Alright, Charlotte first."said Princess smiling slylishly at Charlotte "Have you ever had a crush on someone in this room and why?"she said glaring at her. Princess thought Charlotte likes Adam and she was just pretending for everyone and this is her chance to expose her.
Everyone was silent at the question, Vivian was looking at Princess suspiciously she knows her plan and it was to embarrass Charlotte in front of Adam. Adam was looking eagerly at Charlotte hoping she will mention his name and it will be easier to confess his feeling to her.
"I'm waiting Charlotte,"said Princess eyes fixed on her
"Please say something,"said Caleb quietly and he tapped her softy
"I will,"said Charlotte looking between Caleb and Adam. She didn't expect the question from Princess and she had to say the truth in front of everyone.
"Yes?"asked Princess impatient "Or are you shy?"she asked mockery
"No, it's Caleb." said Charlotte softly
"What did you say?"asked Princess
"I said I had a crush on Caleb!"replied Charlotte eyes down
"What!"said Princess disbelief
Everyone was surprised, Adam looked at Charlotte dumbfolded and to Caleb. He was very dumfounded Charlotte had crush on him. Caleb was taken back he didn't expect anything like that from Charlotte he was looking at her speechless
"You're lying Charlotte right? said Princess angrily
"No, I am not."said Charlotte
Vivian did not believe Charlotte first, she thought she was lying because of Adam "I guess that's a setup."thought Vivian inwardly
"Why Caleb!?"asked Princess looking from Caleb to Charlotte. She could see the surprise on his face and to Adam he was not happy
"He was really kind to me the first day I met him. He didn't judge me like others." said Charlotte softly looking at Caleb smiling and she continued "He's a good friend. I saw him as a crush and I have gotten over it but now he is just my best friend now."said Charlotte smiling bright at him. Caleb was speechless and didn't know what to say
"Thank you Charlotte,"he managed to say quietly
"Awww,"exclaimed some of the students
"Hmm, best friends." said Princess slylishly. Adam was jealous and he was frowning at the situation, Vivian face show's surprise and hurt, she never thought Charlotte had crush on Caleb
"I love this, you guys look good together please date,"shouted a girl smiling widely
"Date, date, date,."shouted some girls
Charlotte was embarrassed and Vivian was hurt but she composed her composure. Princess was smiling inwardly and she knew that will cause rifle between the friends.
"Silence everyone please, back to Caleb do you feel the way for Charlotte?"asked Princess smiling coyly
"No I don't feel the same way"said Caleb instantly and he looked at Vivian smiled
"Aw that's very bad."said Princess pretending to be sorry
"Sorry Charlotte,"said Samson
"Duh, he's my friend not a crush anymore."said Charlotte cheerfully
"Continue Caleb,"said Princess
"My feelings are for someone else,"he said looking at Vivian Vivian's eyes lock onto Caleb's, and she knows exactly who he's talking about. Her expression softens, and she blushes slightly.
"Hmmm, I see,"Princess caught sight of Vivian smiling face and knew she was the one Caleb was referring to.
"Yeah,"said Caleb smiling softy
"Adam it's your turn truth or dare?"asked Princess
"Truth!"said Adam
"What's the one thing you've wanted to do with someone in this room, but haven't had the courage?"asked Princess softly
"I'd wanted to... sit with someone at lunch. Maybe walk them to class"said Adam, his eyes meet Charlotte's, and Charlottes cheeks flush.
"Could it be me Adam was referring to?"blushed Charlotte inwardly. Vivian smiled knowingly. Caleb's watching, and the Princess is intrigued, Princess thought maybe she was the one and she turned to Adam hopefully
"Guess I already did that..." he said smiling awkwardly and everyone laughed
"Aww, looks like someone's been sneaky!"said Princess displeased. Charlotte looks up, and Adam smiled back at her sweetly
"Okay, Vivian,Do you think someone in this room has feelings for you?"asked Princess she wanted to know if Caleb and Vivian likes each other.
Vivian eyes fixed on to Caleb, and she blushes slightly and said "Yes..."she said blushing
"Hmm, lover girl,"said Princess teasingly
"Aww,"shouted some boys grinning
"Hmm, yes... Who's the lucky person, Vivian?"asked Princess eagerly eyes fixed on her
Vivian looks at Caleb, her eyes shining with emotion "Caleb." she said cheerfully
Caleb's face lights up, and he can't help but smiled back at Vivian. Charlotte's happy for them, and Adam's nodding in approval, smiling at them finally
"Aww, it's about time. Caleb, looks like you've got a crush on you!" said Princess teasingly and everyone laughed. The Party continued till evening before it ended around 7 pm and everyone went home
At Charlotte's house, she was sitting on the couch and the Viju milk she brought from the birthday party was on the table
"Hi Charl ,"said Deb she just got back from the shop with their mother
"Hi sis welcome,"she stood up to greet her sis and her mother "Hi Mom."she hugged her mother affectionately
"How're you Charl, where's your Dad?"asked mother cheerfully
"He's inside the room,I guess."replied Charlotte and she collected her handbag carefully
"Please give me a cup of water,"said mother sitting down
"Okay mom,"Charlotte went inside and gave her mom water to drink
"Here's it Mom."said Charlotte handling the water to her
"Thank you." she drank the water and returned the glass cup to her. "Who owns that is on the table,"asked mother caught sight of the Viju milk and the biscuits on the table
"That's mine, Mom."said Charlotte softly
"You bought these?"asked Deborah move closer to the table to check the things
"I brought it from a birthday party."replied Charlotte
"Oh, okay."said Deborah holding the drink
"What birthday party?"asked mother surprised
"Have you forgotten mom, I told you I was going to a birthday party."said Charlotte
"Oh, I remembered."recollected mother
"Yeah,"said Charlotte
"You said a classmate of your was celebrating her birthday today."said mother
"Yes, mom.."she said
"Can I eat the biscuits?"asked Deb eager to tear the biscuits nylon
"You can have it,"said Charlotte nonchalantly
"Thank you."said Deborah
"Wait No."shouted Charlotte
"What?"stunned Deborah
"There's something I need to tell you before you eat it."said Charlotte carefully
"What's that?"asked Deborah dumfounded
"Let's go inside first,"replied Charlotte looking carefully at her mom and their eyes met
"You're hiding things from your mom. Huh."said mother displeased
"No Mom,"laughed Charlotte slyly
"You're, stop lying."said mother vexed with her actions and Deb beckoning to her speak
"Okay fine I will say it,"said Charlotte softly
"Good,"said Mom smiling
"Mom, promise me you won't freak out or scold me."said Charlotte frankly
"Let's hear it."said mother softy
"Is that a promise?"she asked
"Yeah."said mother
"It's Princess birthday party, I went today."confessed Charlotte
"Wait Princess the girl that pushed you inside the pool?"asked Deborah dumfounded
"Yeah,"she said
"No way, take your biscuits I am not eating again."said Deborah and she dropped the biscuits down
"Duh you're funny."said Charlotte laughing
"I can't believe you went to her birthday party."said Deborah displeased
"She begged me and I have forgiven her."said Charlotte softly.
