Aito frowned slightly, closely watching him. If they stopped talking about Sakura and Dai now, how was he supposed to get Haruto to slip up and confess? It was becoming increasingly obvious that Haruto was hiding something, and Aito had no intention of letting him escape the conversation. They needed whatever information he could get. Besides, he knew Haruto would not hurt him. He just had to play smart.
“What the fuck is wrong with you Aito?” Haruto demanded, his voice rising despite his efforts to keep it steady. “Tonight is special for me. For both of us. Why do you want to ruin it?”
“I don't want to ruin it,” Aito replied, his expression hardening. “You do.”
Haruto stared at him incredulously. “I do?” He let out a disbelieving laugh, shaking his head. “You're the one who won't stop talking about fucking dead people!”
“And you're the one avoiding the topic for fuck knows what reason,” Aito shot back. “You're hiding something, Haruto.”
