Alex stared at her for a moment.
"As I mentioned before, the Godslayer you knew was the mixture of your master's soul remnant and the sword's nascent spirit. When they separated, I absorbed your master's remnant into my Origin, but the spirit survived."
The woman's eyes narrowed. "That spirit is in here now?"
"Not exactly," Alex continued. "As I also mentioned before, my own sword's spirit doesn't have a place to stay anymore, since my sword is broken."
The woman frowned as she believed she could see where this was going.
"And finally, as I said to you before, Godslayer saved my blood-refined sword's spirit. And while he saved it, they began merging as well," Alex said, before pointing toward the sword in the woman's hand. "That merged spirit lives inside that sword."
The woman stared down at her hand, finding it hard to imagine all of that was true. And yet, she could feel it. Even if the sword did belong to her master, she wasn't sure if she could call it hers anymore.
