The Artifact God leaned back in her chair. "What request do you have?"
There were a ton of different things she could have imagined Alex would ask her in that moment, but what he actually ended up asking caught her off guard.
"I want you to train me," Alex said.
The woman froze for a long time, taken aback by Alex's request. After several seconds, she questioned if she had even heard him correctly at all.
"You want to be trained by me? As in, you want to learn how to make artifacts from me?"
Alex nodded.
The woman let out an involuntary chortle. "Have you even made anything before?" she asked.
"I'm familiar with it, but I haven't really tried it once I became an Immortal, so I was hoping to be brought up to speed by someone talented. And I cannot imagine there being someone better than you for that task."
The Artifact God found it hard to find anything to say to that.
