There were five different types of tournaments to participate in.
The normal tournament, where most people participated, was one that had no restrictions except for cultivation base. One was free to fight however they wanted, with whatever they wanted, and many people liked that freedom.
This was the tournament that Long Huan participated in.
The second tournament was one where only Qi was allowed, with no weapons or artifacts permitted.
The third tournament was one where people were only allowed to use their Daos to fight. That was the tournament that suited Alex the best, but he didn't choose it at all.
The fourth tournament was one where people could only fight with weapons, using no physical or Qi-based abilities. Since Alex needed to train his sword skills, he chose to participate in this tournament.
And finally, the fifth and last tournament was the one where people fought physically, using nothing but their bodies' strength alone. Graham registered for that.
