The energy surrounding Jun'Tal continued to build even as Tritus weakened beneath the System's Link. Ning could feel the amount increasing at such an absurd rate that the trembling beneath the small Bronverian town was no longer limited to occasional earthquakes. The ground now shook continuously while cracks spread across the nearby fields and the enormous portal behind Tritus widened further with every passing second.
More creatures had begun crossing through.
The first few demons flew out cautiously, enormous winged figures covered in dark scales and armor that appeared to have been forged from black metal, while dozens more gathered behind them on the other side of the portal, waiting for enough space to open before entering Hyrron in greater numbers.
Ning barely looked at them.
The demons were a problem, but they were not the immediate problem.
Jun'Tal was.
