Amon takes his time getting to know the men he is going to deal with better. There is Karv, who is already someone Amon wants to humiliate and destroy for the way he behaved with Aya.
The other person Amon is interested in befriending is Djoser, as he seems to be an interesting character; he is the youngest in the group, but not the weakest. In fact, he seems to have more influence and status than some of the old timers.
Djoser also seems to be more open to the idea of renegotiating the terms regarding the business deals he made with Hakor before his death.
But the others, they still have their guard up, clearly very wary of Amon and what schemes he has cooking up.
With the time they have had to watch and listen to him, they are able to tell that Amon's clearly someone who wants to exploit them for his own gains, of course, whether he can do it depends on their ability to protect themselves from his schemes, which they are very confident in.
