Chapter 1 - The Strongest Being

Dragon Ball Super: Mints, the Forgotten Hybrid

Chapter 1 — The Sleeper Beyond Eternity

Darkness.

An endless sea of silence stretched across the void of Universe 7. Countless stars burned like distant candles in the cosmic ocean, galaxies drifting for millions upon millions of years without purpose or destination. In that endless expanse, there existed a dead world untouched by civilization, untouched even by time itself.

No gods visited this place.

No mortals knew it existed.

And yet, upon that barren planet rested a being whose existence alone could overturn the balance of all creation.

The ground trembled faintly.

Cracks spread through the surface of the planet as ancient energy leaked from deep underground. Mountains split apart soundlessly while storms gathered across the skies. The planet itself seemed unable to bear the pressure of the aura awakening beneath it.

Then—

BOOM!

A pillar of silver-black light erupted from the center of the world and pierced the heavens.

Within the crater, a man slowly opened his eyes.

"...Ugh."

His voice echoed quietly.

"Having slept for hundreds of millions of years... my body aches."

The man sat upright and stretched lazily. The movement alone distorted space around him. Invisible ripples spread throughout the surrounding galaxy as nearby stars flickered under the pressure of his awakening.

This man was known as **Mints**.

He appeared no older than a young adult in his twenties. His body was lean yet perfectly toned, carrying the elegance of an angel and the instinctive ferocity of a Saiyan warrior. His hair was black mixed with shimmering silver strands, a natural result of mastering Ultra Instinct to such an absurd degree that it permanently fused into his normal state.

His silver eyes gazed upward lazily.

"Hm... still alive."

Mints stood and brushed dust from his clothing, though there was barely any damage despite the billions of years that had passed. Around him, the shattered planet groaned as though relieved he was finally awake.

He yawned.

"Well, this sucks."

His voice carried casually across the void.

"Where even am I?"

There was no panic in his tone. No confusion. For someone like Mints, being lost in the universe was no different from waking up in another room.

Because this universe belonged to weaker beings.

He stretched once more before his gaze slowly turned distant.

Memories surfaced.

Another life.

Another world.

Earth.

Long before gods, angels, and destruction, Mints had once lived as an ordinary human. A normal earthling whose life had been insignificant in the grand scale of existence. Yet death had not been the end for him.

He had reincarnated.

Not into wealth.

Not into royalty.

But into the most terrifying bloodline to ever exist.

His father was the first and strongest Legendary Super Saiyan in history.

His mother was the elder sister of the Grand Priest himself.

An impossible union.

An impossible child.

Mints chuckled softly.

"Ah... right. Uncle trained me after Father and Mother disappeared."

The Grand Priest had personally raised him during his early years. But training Mints had been like teaching a natural disaster how to walk properly. The boy absorbed everything instantly.

Divine combat.

Ultra Instinct.

Angel techniques.

Cosmic laws.

Mints learned all of them effortlessly.

At thirteen years old, he surpassed the Grand Priest while barely trying.

At twenty-three, after sleeping more often than training, he surpassed even Zeno.

And after that?

He got bored.

So he slept.

For ages.

For eras so long entire civilizations were born and erased before he even rolled over in his sleep.

Now, finally awake once again, Mints looked around the empty world and sighed.

"I need food."

The moment he spoke, his body disappeared.

Not through Instant Transmission.

Not through movement.

Reality itself simply adjusted to his desire.

### **Universe 7 — Beerus' Planet**

Far away, on the sacred world of the God of Destruction, Whis suddenly froze mid-step.

The cheerful angel's smile disappeared.

His blue eyes widened slightly.

"Aah... troublesome."

Beerus looked up from his meal irritably.

"What is it now, Whis?"

Whis slowly lowered his staff.

"My cousin woke up."

Beerus blinked once.

Then twice.

"…The troublesome one?"

Whis nodded solemnly.

Beerus immediately shot to his feet.

"WHY ARE YOU SAYING IT SO CALMLY?!"

Whis sighed deeply.

"Because panicking changes nothing."

Beerus began sweating.

Even among the gods, very few names could genuinely frighten Beerus.

Mints was one of them.

Beerus crossed his arms nervously.

"How strong is he now?"

Whis remained silent for a moment.

Then he answered.

"We do not know."

Beerus nearly choked.

"You DON'T KNOW?!"

Whis shook his head.

"The last time Father measured his power was before my siblings and I were even born. At that time, Cousin Mints already surpassed Father with only half-hearted training."

Beerus stared blankly.

Whis continued.

"And ten years later, while spending most of his time sleeping, he surpassed Lord Zeno."

Silence filled the room.

Beerus slowly lowered his food.

"That's impossible."

"It happened."

Beerus gritted his teeth.

"How can someone grow stronger by sleeping?!"

Whis gave a helpless smile.

"That is because of his bloodline. Legendary Super Saiyan genes constantly increase his power. Angel blood stabilizes and enhances that growth even further."

He tapped his staff lightly.

"His father naturally improved fifty percent every day. His mother's angelic blood improved another fifty percent."

Whis paused.

"Cousin Mints inherited both perfectly."

Beerus felt cold sweat running down his face.

"So..."

Whis smiled bitterly.

"Yes. His power doubles daily."

Beerus almost fainted.

"What kind of monster is that?!"

Whis looked toward the stars quietly.

"The only one in the Omniverse."

Beerus clenched his fists nervously.

"And if he trains seriously?"

Whis became silent.

Then he answered honestly.

"If Cousin Mints truly decides to train…"

Even Whis looked uneasy.

"…then even Father may no longer understand his limits."

Beerus collapsed onto the floor dramatically.

"We're doomed."

Whis sighed again.

"The last time he became genuinely angry, Universes 13 through 18 disappeared."

Beerus froze.

"…That was HIM?!"

Whis nodded.

"He destroyed them personally because their Gods of Destruction annoyed him."

Beerus trembled violently.

"And now he's awake again…"

Whis looked toward the endless sky.

"Yes."

Then his expression darkened slightly.

"And from the direction of his energy…"

He tapped his staff once more.

"…he appears to be heading toward Planet Vegeta."

Beerus' eyes widened.

"Oh no."

### **Outer Orbit — Planet Vegeta**

Mints floated silently above the Saiyan planet.

His silver eyes scanned the world beneath him.

Thousands of Saiyans filled the planet. Warriors fought in training grounds. Children battled each other violently. Elite Saiyans strutted proudly through military districts while lower-class warriors worked like disposable soldiers.

Mints stared.

Then he frowned.

"…Weak."

His voice carried disappointment.

"These are Saiyans?"

He observed their power levels carefully.

Even the elites looked insignificant compared to the ancient Saiyans he remembered from billions of years ago.

Back then, Saiyans had rivaled gods naturally.

Now?

Mints watched one Saiyan struggle to destroy a mountain.

"Hah."

He nearly laughed.

"There's even a fake Legendary Super Saiyan."

He sensed the presence of Broly somewhere far away in the timeline.

Mints shook his head.

"What happened to this race?"

Then he looked closer.

His eyes narrowed.

"Year 734…"

A memory surfaced.

Kakarot.

Planet Vegeta's destruction.

Frieza.

Mints sighed.

"So this is the era where that story begins."

He floated lower toward the atmosphere while observing the royal palace.

"Hmph. Planet Vegeta?"

His face twisted slightly.

"What horrible naming sense."

The original Saiyan homeworld had once been called Sadala before the ancient migration.

To Mints, the current Saiyan civilization looked like children playing pretend with broken pieces of history.

Then—

He suddenly froze.

Two energies caught his attention.

One belonged to a rough, battle-hardened Saiyan warrior.

The other belonged to an infant.

Mints' eyes widened slightly.

"…Interesting."

He focused carefully.

Then realization struck him.

"…My descendants?"

The older one was Bardock.

The infant was Kakarot.

Mints slowly smiled.

"So my bloodline still exists after all this time."

He observed Bardock closely.

The Saiyan possessed unusually high battle instincts and stubborn willpower far beyond ordinary Saiyans.

Then Mints sensed something else hidden deep within Bardock's cells.

A dormant ancient gene.

"Oh?"

His smile widened.

"So someone in the bloodline partially awakened the original power."

Then he shifted his attention toward the infant Kakarot.

The child's energy was calm.

Pure.

Steady.

Mints blinked.

"Hm?"

He looked more carefully.

Then he laughed.

"Hahaha!"

The stars around him trembled from the sound alone.

"This brat…"

He grinned.

"He inherited Yamoshi's bloodline."

Unlike Bardock, who carried fragments of the Legendary Super Saiyan genes, Kakarot possessed traces of the ancient Super Saiyan God lineage.

Mints crossed his arms thoughtfully.

"So my little brother's influence survived too."

A nostalgic smile appeared on his face.

He remembered Yamoshi clearly.

The righteous fool.

The younger brother who hated violence despite being born among Saiyan conquerors.

The same brother who once challenged Mints to a battle that shook entire universes.

Back then, Yamoshi wanted peace.

Mints wanted sleep.

Their fight destroyed millions of evil Saiyans powerful enough to rival Gods of Destruction apprentices.

And when the battle ended—

Mints won.

He remembered laughing while telling Yamoshi he was still too young to see his back.

Those had been good days.

Now, standing above Planet Vegeta once more, Mints could feel Yamoshi's presence faintly from another universe.

Universe 6.

Planet Sadala.

Mints smiled softly.

"So you really succeeded, huh, little brother?"

As though hearing his thoughts, another energy responded across the cosmos.

Warm.

Ancient.

Familiar.

Yamoshi.

A voice echoed directly into Mints' mind.

**"Brother… you finally woke up."**

Mints laughed.

"Still alive, Yamoshi?"

**"Unfortunately."**

"Hah!"

Mints stretched lazily.

"I see your descendants became soft too."

**"At least mine aren't enslaved by Frost Demons."**

Mints glanced toward Frieza's empire.

"…Fair point."

For a moment, silence passed between the two ancient Saiyans.

Then Yamoshi spoke again.

**"You noticed them, didn't you?"**

Mints looked toward Bardock and Kakarot again.

"Yes."

Another presence suddenly surfaced in his memories.

A woman.

A child.

His son.

Mints blinked slowly.

"…Ah."

He scratched his head awkwardly.

"I forgot I had one of those."

Yamoshi burst into laughter inside the mental connection.

**"Paula still wants to hit you."**

"That's fair."

**"Your son isolated himself in Universe 6."**

Mints sighed.

"Sounds like me."

**"Exactly the problem."**

Mints floated silently for several moments before smiling faintly.

"Well… maybe I'll visit."

Yamoshi chuckled.

**"That would shock him."**

Mints cracked his neck lazily.

"First…"

His silver eyes drifted toward Planet Vegeta below.

"…I think I'll watch this era for a while."

Far below, the Saiyans remained completely unaware.

Unaware that the strongest being in existence floated above them.

Unaware that the ancestor of their race had awakened from eternity.

And completely unaware that history itself had just begun changing.
