In the morning, the first faint rays of sunlight spread across Asgard.
Golden sunlight slipped through the windows of the residence, illuminating the room with a warm and peaceful glow. Outside, the magnificent buildings of Asgard reflected the morning light, and the distant sounds of the city slowly began to rise.
Sif slowly opened her eyes.
A trace of frustration remained in her expression.
Her head was resting against something warm and comfortable. For several seconds, she remained still, not completely awake. Then she slowly moved her eyes to the side.
The moment she saw that familiar face, her expression changed.
Jack.
Sif's memories of the previous night immediately returned.
The arguments.
Jack's shameless behavior.
Her own decision to marry him.
And everything that had happened afterward.
Sif's face became slightly warm as she remembered it.
That bastard…
She quietly looked at Jack.
He was sleeping peacefully, his expression relaxed and completely carefree. There wasn't the slightest indication that he had been worried about anything.
On Jack's other arm, Jane was also sleeping peacefully.
Jane's face carried a faint, happy expression. From time to time, she even smacked her lips slightly in her sleep, completely unaware of the complicated thoughts taking place beside her.
Sif stared at Jack's face for several seconds.
For some inexplicable reason, she suddenly thought that this man actually had a certain charm.
The thought appeared so suddenly that Sif immediately frowned.
What am I thinking?
At a time like this?
She quickly suppressed the strange thought.
This was a good opportunity.
Jack was sleeping.
His guard was down.
If she killed him now, everything would be over.
She wouldn't need to marry him.
She wouldn't need to endure his shamelessness.
And she wouldn't need to worry about discovering his weakness anymore.
Sif's expression gradually became cold.
Quietly, she reached for a dagger.
The sharp blade appeared in her hand, reflecting the morning sunlight.
A ruthless light flashed through Sif's eyes.
"Jack, it all ends here."
She suddenly thrust the dagger toward Jack's throat.
However—
Before the blade could reach him, Jack's eyes suddenly opened.
His reaction was incredibly fast.
One hand shot forward and firmly caught the dagger.
The blade stopped only inches from his throat.
Jack looked directly at Sif.
"Want to kill me? It isn't that easy."
Sif's expression changed.
"I'm going to kill you!"
She shouted and desperately tried to pull the dagger away.
Neither of them was willing to give an inch.
Their movements caused the bed to shake repeatedly.
Jane, who had been sleeping peacefully, was disturbed by the noise.
She slowly rubbed her eyes.
"What are you doing? Can't you let someone rest?"
Her expression was uncomfortable, and her sleepy voice carried obvious annoyance.
Jack quickly turned Sif over and restrained her, preventing her from continuing the attack.
Then he looked toward Jane with his usual shameless smile.
"Jane, you continue to rest. I will teach this disobedient woman a lesson."
Jane blinked several times before looking at them.
"You aren't wearing the clothes."
Jack glanced at her.
"You haven't put yours on."
Jane immediately realized what he meant and hurriedly protected herself with her hands.
"It was you who took my clothes off!"
Jack smiled innocently.
"Relax. Sleeping like that was comfortable. Now I have to punish Sif. She actually wanted to murder her husband. That really cannot be forgiven."
Sif struggled angrily.
"Beast! Get down! I must kill you!"
Jack continued smiling.
"Continue struggling. Continue. You haven't put your clothes on yet, so this friction is also quite interesting."
"Hateful!"
Sif's face became red with anger.
She had originally wanted to kill Jack while he was asleep.
Instead, she had been caught almost immediately.
The humiliation made her furious.
Jack nodded.
"Okay, the punishment starts now. Attempting to murder your husband is a serious crime. But I am a good person. Hitting your butt will be enough."
Sif's body trembled slightly.
"Quite disgusting. Don't touch me."
Jack nodded.
"Good, I won't touch you. I'll just hit your butt directly."
"You dare…"
Pa!
Jack's palm struck Sif's butt.
"I dared. Didn't I need to prove it with practical action?"
Sif's body immediately stiffened.
"You… you fellow, I…"
Jack raised his hand again.
"The woman who is mine, whatever she does, Father will take care of it. Father refuses to accept anything less."
Pa!
Another slap landed.
Sif's entire face became bright red.
Shame and resentment filled her eyes.
As an Asgardian female warrior, Sif had fought countless enemies without fear. She had stood on battlefields surrounded by weapons and blood, and she had never lowered her head.
Yet now, she was being humiliated by Jack in front of Jane.
Her pride felt as though it were being torn apart piece by piece.
Jane stared blankly at Sif.
"The butt really does tremble."
Sif immediately became even more embarrassed.
"Don't look!"
Jane finally couldn't continue watching.
"Jack, this is a little excessive. You're bullying the woman."
Jack smiled evilly.
"Right? But I am a person who makes a clear distinction between public and private interests. A mistake must be punished. Jane, if you made a huge mistake, you would have to be punished too."
Jane immediately pouted.
"You cannot be like this."
Sif looked at Jack bitterly.
"Jack, you killed me."
Jack looked at her.
"Who said I would kill you? How could I be willing to kill you? Don't say such words."
Sif became silent.
Her eyes flickered.
Then she remembered her purpose.
She wanted to discover Jack's weakness.
She wanted to defeat him.
And for that, she had already decided that she would make the necessary sacrifice.
"Fine. You don't kill me, then marry me!"
Sif's voice was loud and firm.
She had finally said it.
There was no turning back now.
I will marry him.
I will discover his weakness.
And once I find it, I will kill him.
Jane looked at Sif blankly.
"This logic… I really don't understand it."
Jack also looked slightly surprised.
He hadn't expected Sif to agree so directly.
But after a moment, his shameless smile returned.
"I don't understand it either, but the result is what I need."
Sif looked away.
Her decision was already made.

The Royal Palace
Not long afterward, Jack, Jane, and Sif arrived at the main hall of the Asgardian royal palace.
The magnificent hall was filled with solemnity.
Golden pillars supported the enormous ceiling, while the walls were decorated with symbols representing Asgard's long history. The atmosphere was completely different from the chaotic scene in Sif's residence.
Odin sat upon his throne.
The All-Father looked down at the three people standing before him, his expression dignified and calm.
"Jack and Sif, what matter have you come here for?"
Jack immediately smiled.
"Odin, it is like this. Sif has agreed to marry me."
The moment those words fell, several people inside the hall froze.
Thor's eyes widened.
He turned toward Sif in disbelief.
Sif actually agreed?
He had already guessed that Sif might be considering using marriage to discover Jack's weakness, but hearing her personally agree to marry him still made Thor uncomfortable.
Odin looked toward Sif.
"Sif, is this true?"
Sif took a deep breath.
Her heart was complicated.
She knew that once she confirmed this before Odin, the matter would become much more serious.
Still, she did not hesitate.
"Yes, King of the Gods. I agree to marry Jack."
Odin slowly nodded.
"Since both sides have agreed, I have no reason to oppose it. Your union can bring peace between you. That would also be a good fortune."
Thor suddenly stepped forward.
"Sif, you do not need to sacrifice yourself. We do not need to do this."
Sif looked at him and shook her head.
"I did not sacrifice myself. This is something I considered for a very long time. You do not need to urge me."
"But…"
Sif squeezed out a faint smile.
"You must bless me."
Thor fell silent.
There was nothing more he could say.
Jane looked toward Jack and whispered,
"Jack, why?"
Jack turned toward her.
"What?"
Jane stared at him with a complicated expression.
"I actually don't feel anything."
Jack raised an eyebrow.
Jane immediately showed disdain.
"Because you are a mindless fellow."
Jack's expression became speechless.
At the same time, Thor clenched his fists.
"I knew it."
Before the situation could settle down, a loud voice suddenly came from outside.
"We do not agree!"
The doors of the main hall opened.
A large group of Asgardian soldiers entered.
Their expressions were solemn, and many of them carried weapons.
Odin's expression immediately became stern.
"What are you doing? Can you revolt?"
One of the soldiers hurriedly bowed.
"Your Majesty, please forgive us. We are unable to agree with all of this. That fellow's sins are grave. Your Majesty, you can forgive him, and we respect Your Majesty's decision. But how can we allow our Asgard's beautiful female warrior, Sif, to marry Jack, this criminal?"
His voice became increasingly firm.
"All of us Asgardian soldiers resolutely oppose it!"
Jack looked at the gathered soldiers and smiled.
"Did you resolutely oppose?"
"Yes, Jack. It is impossible for you to marry Sif. Absolutely impossible."
Jack turned his head toward Sif.
"Sif, I never expected that you were this popular. So many Asgardian soldiers like you."
Sif's expression remained calm.
"These matters have nothing to do with me. I have agreed to marry you. If you want to marry me, then show me your skill."
Jack's smile widened.
"Good. Since that is what your group of trash said, Father will give you this opportunity. What do you want to do? Say it."
The soldiers exchanged glances.
One of them stepped forward.
"If you defeat us, we will agree with you."
Jack's eyes narrowed with disdain.
"So it was originally a fight. You really looked down upon Father. Fine. Father will satisfy your desires."
The Asgardian soldiers immediately tightened their grips on their weapons.
"Jack, you think we have made no preparations? Wait until you suffer and die."
Jack remained completely relaxed.
He looked across the gathered warriors, his expression carrying absolute confidence.
"Okay, okay. I am waiting."
The atmosphere inside the great hall instantly became tense.
The Asgardian soldiers were ready for battle.
Thor watched silently.
Sif also stood quietly, her hands slowly tightening at her sides.
Her decision had been made.
She would marry Jack.
She would discover his weakness.
And if necessary, she would sacrifice everything for Asgard.
Meanwhile, Jack stood at the center of the hall as though he were waiting for an ordinary challenge.
To him, the coming battle was nothing more than another opportunity to show the people of Asgard exactly who they were dealing with.
