The great martial stage of Asgard was surrounded by an overwhelming number of warriors.
Tens of thousands of Asgardian soldiers stood around the enormous battlefield, their golden armor shining beneath the light of the sky. From a distance, they looked like an endless golden ocean, with countless weapons raised and countless pairs of eyes fixed on the lone figure standing at the center.
Jack stood in the middle of the martial stage.
Compared with the enormous army surrounding him, his figure appeared particularly isolated.
Yet there was not even the slightest trace of fear on his face.
Instead, he looked relaxed, as though he were simply standing in an ordinary courtyard rather than facing the entire army of Asgard.
A powerful energy barrier surrounded the martial stage. It was translucent, but the faint golden patterns flowing across its surface made it obvious that it possessed extraordinary defensive power.
Odin and the others were watching from a distant position.
Because of this powerful energy barrier, they did not have to worry about the battle destroying the surrounding area or causing too much damage to the Immortal Palace.
Jack looked around at the countless Asgardian soldiers.
He slowly raised one hand and casually beckoned toward them.
"You come together."
His simple words immediately caused an uproar among the soldiers.
"Jack, little looked down upon the person! For Sif, we will pledge to fight to the death to defeat you!"
An Asgardian soldier shouted angrily.
Jack casually raised a finger and pulled at his ear.
"Look down upon you, what's wrong?"
His completely indifferent attitude made the soldier even angrier.
"Jack, you think that after you caused havoc in Asgard and left, we would not consider how to deal with your methods?"
Jack smiled.
"How did you consider? Tell Father what you have."
"Hateful!"
Jack's arrogant expression caused several soldiers to lose control of themselves.
"Let us start! Eliminate this fellow!"
"Start! Make this fellow experience our Asgard's powerful strength! The dignity of Asgard cannot be challenged!"
The shouts of the soldiers continued one after another.
Jack simply yawned.
"Have you finished your flamboyant boasting? Don't start? I must hit."
His casual attitude made the atmosphere even more tense.
"Jack, we will make you experience what true power is!"
The voices of tens of thousands of Asgardian soldiers suddenly became unified.
The sound was like thunder rolling across the sky.
"Asgardian soldiers, fusion!"
The moment those words were shouted, an astonishing change occurred.
Every Asgardian soldier began releasing golden energy from his body.
One ray of golden light appeared.
Then another.
Then thousands.
Then tens of thousands.
The countless golden rays connected with each other, forming an enormous network of energy that spread throughout the entire battlefield.
The individual powers of the soldiers began merging.
The light became increasingly brilliant.
The energy continued gathering toward the center, wrapping around the tens of thousands of Asgardian warriors like an enormous golden cocoon.
Jack's eyes narrowed slightly.
For the first time, his casual expression became somewhat serious.
"Probably changes interesting."
He could feel the difference.
This was no longer simply tens of thousands of warriors standing together.
Their strength was actually being fused.
The enormous energy continued climbing.
High above the martial stage, the golden light suddenly condensed into an enormous sphere.
It was like a gigantic golden sun suspended in the sky.
The dazzling radiance illuminated the entire region surrounding the Immortal Palace.
The golden light reflected against the magnificent Asgardian buildings, turning the entire area bright.
Even the atmosphere seemed to tremble beneath that terrifying energy.
Thor stared at the enormous golden light.
"It was unexpectedly successful. When I went to Earth, this feat of arms had not been researched and developed."
Fandral also looked excited.
"Yes, when you went there it had not succeeded. This is also my first time seeing it."
His eyes remained fixed upon the gigantic golden energy.
"Fusing the power of all Asgardian soldiers together… this power is actually so powerful."
Odin stood calmly nearby.
His gaze remained fixed on Jack.
"After Jack's destruction of Asgard, we realized that individual power is extremely small and weak. Only by joining together can we defeat the enemy."
Odin's voice was calm and deep.
"This is the first fusion. I anticipated very much what kind of power it can display."
Jane's expression immediately changed.
She turned toward Odin in disbelief.
"So you are using Jack as the test piece?"
Odin remained calm.
"We want to maintain the peace of the universe."
Jane's brows furrowed deeply.
She suddenly understood the entire situation.
"You fear Jack's power and want to suppress Jack. I understand. All of this was arranged by you, wasn't it?"
She looked toward Odin.
"You first agreed to Jack and Sif's wedding, then made these Asgard soldiers oppose it, making Jack accept their challenge. Is this it?"
Odin did not deny it.
"Jack's power regarding the entire universe is a huge threat. This person must be overpowered. The sins he committed against Earth and Asgard are enough for him to die countless times."
Jane's expression became angry.
"So you deliberately framed him with this scheme?"
"Jack must pay the proper price for the sins that he committed."
Jane gave a cold laugh.
"The fellows of this group, with justice and humanity filling their mouths, are one thing on the surface and another thing behind the scenes. Jack, although he is not a good person, is at least not like you false people."
She paused briefly.
Although Jack is also very false.
Jane knew that better than anyone.
But even so, she had already chosen him.
Odin's expression became colder.
"You are a mortal who actually chose the greatest enemy of your human race. A stupid human female like you has no qualifications to lecture me."
Jane did not retreat.
Instead, she looked directly at Odin.
"Am I stupid? No matter what Jack has done, he is the man I chose. Odin, you will pay a heavy price for your behavior. The price is entire Asgard."
Odin slowly shook his head.
"See that huge energy barrier?"
Jane looked toward the martial stage.
"That is the barrier formed by the power of the World Tree. Do you think Jack can come out from there?"
Jane's expression was filled with disdain.
"Hateful. To deal with Jack, you really took great pains."
Thor looked toward Odin.
He had finally understood everything.
"I never expected that Royal Father had planned everything. Previously, I misunderstood Royal Father. You are the most sagacious king of Asgard. With this, you can certainly eliminate Jack."
Odin's eyes remained cold.
"We must be able to endure our temper. Everything cannot be handled irritably. For the sins that Jack committed against our Asgard, I, as the king of Asgard, am impossible to let him off."
A gloomy light flashed through Odin's eyes.
"My King is wise!"
The people surrounding Odin immediately spoke together.
Volstagg lowered his voice.
"We were still worrying before. Never expected that the God King had planned everything. It really makes me admire you."
Fandral smiled.
"Worthily is the God King. You deceived us all and kept everything hidden. Only now do we know all of this."
Volstagg suddenly looked relieved.
"This is good. Sif does not need to marry that fellow."
"Yes, Sif, everything is all right."
Thor smiled toward Sif.
Sif continued staring toward the martial stage.
Jack was standing alone in the middle of the enormous battlefield.
The golden energy above him was becoming increasingly frightening.
Sif squeezed out a smile.
"Yes, I do not need to marry him. The God King really deceived us quite miserably."
Odin smiled.
"If you want to deceive the enemy, you must first deceive yourself."
His gaze became profound.
"From the moment Jack said that he wanted to discuss marriage, I started to plan. I knew that Jack would certainly force Sif to comply with his marriage proposal. But as long as I pushed the boat along, eliminated all his vigilance, and made all Asgard's soldiers challenge him again…"
Odin looked toward Jack.
"Jack will certainly pay the serious price for his sinful behavior. My Odin will not let him off."
Around the martial stage, the Asgardians suddenly began cheering.
"Odin long live! Asgard long live! Odin long live! Asgard long live!"
The sound spread through the Immortal Palace like a great wave.
The warriors raised their weapons, their voices becoming louder and louder.
Jane's brows became deeply furrowed.
She stared toward the martial stage.
Suddenly, she shouted with all her strength.
"Jack! All of this is a plot! Odin's plot! You walk quickly!"
But laughter immediately came from the surrounding Asgardians.
"Hahaha! Hahaha!"
"Fool! Inside the barrier, he cannot hear the outside sound!"
"Even if Jack heard, all are no longer able to help matters. Give up your attempt to save him."
Volstagg looked at Jane with a smile.
Jane clenched her fists.
She could only watch.
Odin turned toward her.
"Guard, take her."
Thor immediately stepped forward.
"Royal Father, she helped me on Earth. She was deceived by Jack. She has not done anything wrong."
Odin looked at Thor for a moment before nodding.
"Guard, withdraw. Let her stay here and watch how Jack is defeated."
The guards stopped.
Jane remained where she was.
She stared at the battlefield.
The enormous golden sphere continued gathering energy.
The pressure became heavier.
Yet Jane's expression did not show fear.
Instead, she slowly smiled.
"Haha…"
She looked directly toward Odin.
"You will certainly regret this. You definitely will."
Inside the barrier, Jack stood alone.
The golden light illuminated his entire body.
Tens of thousands of Asgardian soldiers had fused their strength into one enormous force.
Every Asgardian believed that this would be enough to defeat him.
But Jack's expression remained calm.
His eyes slowly became sharper.
A faint smile appeared on his lips.
For the first time, the battle had finally become somewhat interesting.
And Jack was looking forward to seeing exactly how powerful the combined strength of Asgard could become.
