His hand was restless under the quilt, but his face was composed as he slightly curled the corner of his mouth into a smile. His voice was slightly heavy from the exertion earlier, "Why can't I do anything about you?"
Alice Robinson looked up at him, cupping his handsome face with her hands, and triumphantly said, "Because you love me."
He chuckled softly and lifted his head to peck her lips.
She giggled sweetly and lay back on top of him.
His hand slowly moved from her hip upwards, gently caressing her smooth back at this moment.
She savored his touch, whispering, "This is the happiest moment of my life..."
Leaning into his embrace, with nothing on her mind except basking in his caresses and tenderness, was a beautiful scene she never dared to imagine.
He lovingly kissed the strands of her hair near her temple, his voice deep and gentle, "In my limited days, I'll do my best to give you moments like these."
