Beyond the enchanted doorway lay what appeared to be Queen Aurora's final resting place.
The chamber was almost disappointingly ordinary.
An ancient stone sarcophagus rested atop a one-meter-high bier at the center of the otherwise barren room. Thick layers of dust blanketed its surface, untouched by time, while the lid bore the exquisite carving of a beautiful woman sleeping peacefully, her hands folded neatly across her chest.
She looked less like the dead...
And more like someone waiting to awaken.
Ren slowly approached.
Near the carved figure's hands, words had been etched into the weathered stone.
To break the seal, blood must seep.
Stretch forth your hand... let me feed.
He couldn't help but smile.
"What an obvious trap."
Many first-time adventurers believed the riddle was the key.
They would slice open their palms and allow blood to drip onto the stone before pressing their bleeding hand against the carved woman's lips.
Nothing would happen.
At least...
