Serapion City possessed a unique facility called the Fire Shrine. Six such shrines were scattered around the upper world. Each shrine housed an artificial ley node of distinct divine elements, and each was in a densely populated city.
The shrine's purpose was similar to the five artificial ley nodes containing infernal elements at Mo Wang's castle, but on a much larger scale. The ones at Mo Wang's castle enhanced the surrounding aether, making the environment much more suitable for cultivation. The same was true here, except these shrines enhanced the entire upper world's aether.
Serapion City was the second city Amon's caravan troupe visited with an elemental shrine. The first one was Theopilus City, which they visited five months ago. That city had the Earth Shrine.
