Her delayed but fierce reaction was actually quite adorable.
Eason Chalmers couldn't help but look at her with softness in his eyes.
"Won't let me support you?" he asked.
"Let you." Ever since she realized it was him who was supporting her, she didn't want to push him away.
"Let's go." Eason said.
"Okay." Alice Yates answered, but didn't start walking.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Wait a minute." she said.
"Wait for what?"
"Wait until it's not... not wobbling, then I'll walk." She pointed at the ground earnestly.
Eason burst into laughter.
Even Arthur Ghastly couldn't help but pinch Harlon Nicholas's thigh from the adjacent seat, and whispered, "My god, isn't Alice too adorable when she's drunk? My heart is melting."
Harlon replied coldly, "If you don't let go, I'll throw you in a pot and melt you."
Arthur immediately withdrew his hand, but his little eyes couldn't help but stare at Alice Yates with stars of affection.
