Chapter 185: Inspecting
Raiken POV
"We will inspect your seal before granting you permission to approach Kaguya," said Rei Otsutsuki. "If we find anything dangerous or suspicious, our previous agreement will be withdrawn."
"That's fair," replied Raiken.
He walked towards the stone table in the middle of the meeting room and waved his hand. Several large scrolls appeared before him, each bound with a different coloured cord.
The other Otsutsuki watched him closely as he placed the scrolls on the table.
Madara moved nearer as well, although he had already heard Raiken explain the general purpose of the seal, he had never seen its complete structure or rather, the part Raiken was willing to show them.
The sealing technique had been purchased from the system mall for a considerable number of Stars. Even with the accumulated knowledge of the Uzumaki Clan, Raiken knew there was no realistic way for them to create something this powerful by themselves.
The Uzumaki were unquestionably the greatest masters of fuinjutsu on Earth. They could seal tailed beasts, chakra and even abstract connections between different objects.
However, Kaguya was not an ordinary opponent. A normal sealing technique designed by humans could not be trusted to restrain someone who possessed Six Paths chakra.
Six Paths chakra originated directly from Kaguya Otsutsuki. Hagoromo and Hamura had received that chakra from their mother, which made its nature vastly different from the chakra inherited by their descendants.
The difference could be seen in the scale of their abilities. When Hagoromo used his Susanoo, it could reach more than a thousand metres in height, placing it on the same level as the Ten-Tails. In comparison, even the strongest descendants of his bloodline could only manifest a Susanoo around three hundred and fifty metres tall.
That was still powerful enough to destroy mountains, but it showed how much strength had been lost through the generations.
Raiken had no desire to test an ordinary Uzumaki seal against Kaguya and discover its limitations after she was already standing in front of him.
He untied the first scroll. The moment it opened, thousands of dark characters spread across the paper. Some moved in circles, while others shifted position as though the scroll itself were alive.
The inscriptions divided themselves into several layers. A large circular formation occupied the centre, surrounded by smaller diagrams connected by narrow lines of chakra.
Several Otsutsuki member activated their Byakugan almost simultaneously. Madara Rinegan also focused on the scroll.
Raiken waited patiently while they attempted to understand what they were seeing, following one of the lines with his eyes. It travelled towards the centre of the formation, split into eight smaller paths and somehow returned to its starting point without crossing any of the other formulas.
"What kind of sealing language is this?" Mon Otsutsuki asked. "Some of these characters resemble the ancient formulas used by Hamura, but the structure is completely different."
"It uses several systems at the same time," explained Raiken. "If you examine only one layer, the rest will appear contradictory."
"That is an inefficient way to create a seal," said another elder.
"Only if the layers perform the same function," replied Raiken. "These don't."
Madara had remained quiet, but the slight narrowing of his eyes showed that he is very interested with what Raiken had shown.
He understood ninjutsu better than almost anyone alive. With the Sharingan and Rinegan, he could analyse the flow of chakra and uncover the principles behind most techniques after seeing them only once.
The scroll in front of him are different that any he had ever learn.
Every time he thought he understood one section, another diagram on the scroll blown his mind. .
"How irritating," Madara muttered.
Raiken smiled. "Are you having trouble?"
Madara slowly turned towards him.
"That sounds like a yes," mocked Raiken.
"Raiken," Madara raised his voice.
"All right, no need to become emotional," replied Raiken nonchalantly.

Raiken placed one finger on the scroll.
"Let us begin with the largest formation."
He sent a small amount of chakra into the paper. The central diagram lit up, projecting an image of the Moon above the table.
A black sphere appeared inside it, representing Kaguya prison.
"This diagram handles the extraction," Raiken explained. "Kaguya is not simply locked inside a room, her prison was very unique one and it was created through the Six Paths chakra. The Moon itself was formed around the seal."
Rei nodded. "Which means carelessly destroying the seal could destabilise part of the Moon, but don't worry we are not going to breaking the prison with brute force, it would be extremely stupid."
Raiken ignored their expression.
"This formation will separate Kaguya from the centre of the prison without destroying the surrounding structure. It will remove the Six Paths sealing chakra in stages, redirect the pressure away from her body and eject her safely."
The projection changed, lines of golden chakra wrapped around the image representing Kaguya. Instead of tearing through the dark sphere, the formation created a narrow passage leading outside it.
"What happens to the original seal after she is removed?" asked Rei.
"It will remain inactive but intact," answered Raiken. "If something goes wrong, we can use it again."
That answer earned a few approving looks. Kazuma, who had been watching from the end of the table, finally stepped closer.
"And you are certain the extraction is 100% safe?" asked him.
"The seal maintains her chakra circulation during the process," said Raiken. "Her body may be weakened when she emerges and don't worry about safety, I have put my thought into the safety when creating this seal. ."

Raiken opened the second scroll and the new diagram was smaller, but it contained even more characters than the first. Nine symbols surrounded the image of a human body, each representing one of the tailed beasts.
"This is the most important part," he said. "Kaguya's power came from merging with the Ten-Tails. After Hagoromo and Hamura defeated her, that chakra was eventually divided among the nine tailed beasts."
Rei's Byakugan moved across the nine symbols.
"You are planning to seal the tailed beasts?" asked Rei a bit confused why there are seals for tail beast.
"No, this seal targets Kaguya."
Raiken touched the image of the body.
The nine symbols released thin streams of chakra towards it. Before those streams could reach their target, a second formation appeared around the body and rejected them.
"This diagram will alter how her chakra network responds to tailed-beast chakra. If she attempts to absorb any of the nine beasts, the seal will recognise their chakra as a foreign source and close the connection."
"Can a seal truly distinguish between Kaguya chakra and that of the tailed beasts?"
"That shared origin is why an ordinary rejection seal wouldn't work," said Raiken. "This one doesn't separate them by origin. It identifies the changes that occurred after Hagoromo divided the Ten-Tails chakra into nine individual beings and the tailed beast are the next evolution because of the chakra."

Raiken almost laughed at the messages but managed to maintain a serious expression.
Kazuma continued inspecting the diagram.
"And what prevents her from removing the seal herself?"
"Well, try removing it yourself and it will be impossible because I invented a new language so it won't be easy to remove it," answered Raiken.

Raiken smile appear on his face.
"Does that mean I have permission?" asked Raiken.
"We will discuss it first," answered Kazuma. "Please bring the guest to previous room. ."
Raiken released a quiet sigh.
"Another meeting?" said Raiken.
"You are asking us to release Kaguya Otsutsuki, so we need to find out either this is the best thing or not. " replied Kazuma.
"I know, but your clan really enjoys meetings."
Madara turned and walked towards the door before Raiken could prolong the conversation.
