Four-Tails Naruto suddenly appeared in front of them almost instantly.
The Kusagakure shinobi looked at Naruto's blood-colored chakra and froze in horror.
"A Tailed Beast?! Takigakure actually used a Tailed Beast?!"
He tried to turn and run.
But a massive chakra tail slammed down from above and crushed him into a pile of flesh instantly.
Karin trembled in fear and covered her mouth as tears poured down her face.
Naruto awkwardly turned his head toward her.
A powerful blue chakra erupted from his body, forcefully suppressing the violent Nine-Tails chakra.
Under the moonlight, Naruto's nearly burned skin looked horrifying.
The final chakra tail gently carried Karin's mother from the corner and placed her before the little girl.
"Mom?!"
Karin looked at her mother's body covered in bite marks, and tears immediately streamed down her face.
The horrifying sight made her stomach twist violently, and she vomited on the spot.
Naruto stood there silently and spoke in a hoarse voice.
"I'm sorry... I came too late."
Thanks to the Yang chakra Naruto injected earlier, Karin's mother still retained a final trace of consciousness.
With great difficulty, she raised her hand and gently touched her daughter's cheek.
"I'm sorry, Karin... from now on, follow this big brother."
Karin tightly grabbed her mother's hand and cried desperately while shaking her head.
"No! Mom, I want to stay with you! Don't leave me!"
Her mother didn't answer.
Instead, she struggled to look toward Naruto.
Naruto met her gaze and silently nodded.
She smiled faintly at him.
She didn't even have enough strength left to say thank you.
Using the last bit of her strength, she held her daughter one final time—
then her hand weakly slipped from Karin's grasp.
"MOM!!"
Karin's heartbreaking scream echoed throughout the corpse-filled ruins.
