-------------------------------------------------

The search for a location took nearly six months.

Not because they couldn't find land.

Because they needed the right land.

A supernatural school couldn't simply be built beside a highway.

Nor could it exist near major cities.

Too many eyes.

Too many questions.

Too many chances for the hidden world to become exposed.

The answer unexpectedly came from the Quileute tribe.

One afternoon, Jacob and several elders approached Jojo with information about a remote region deep within the mountains.

A place most humans never visited.

And those who did rarely returned for a second trip.

Not because of danger.

Because reaching it was a nightmare.

Several days later, Jojo, Inadu, Jacob, Leah, and a few others made the journey.

The deeper they traveled, the more difficult the terrain became.

Massive cliffs surrounded the valley.

Rocky formations towered overhead.

Ancient forests covered the mountain slopes.

Natural mist rolled through the region even during daylight.

The entire area felt isolated from the modern world.

When they finally reached the center—

Everyone stopped.

The valley was enormous.

Surrounded on nearly every side by mountains.

Several rivers flowed through it.

Ancient stone formations stood scattered across the landscape.

And most importantly—The place felt old.

Not physically.

Spiritually.

As if countless stories had already passed through the land long before any of them arrived.

Inadu simply stood there.

Silent.

Looking around.

Jacob exchanged a glance with Leah.

"Well?"

Jacob asked.

Inadu didn't answer immediately.

She walked forward slowly.

Touched one of the massive stone formations.

Closed her eyes.

Felt the magical currents flowing beneath the valley.

The natural ley lines.

The spiritual energy hidden beneath the earth.

Then she smiled.

A genuine smile.

"I want it."

Jacob laughed.

"That was quick."

Inadu turned toward Jojo.

Her eyes practically glowing.

"This is it."

For once—

Nobody disagreed.

The location was perfect.

And once ownership and legal complications were quietly solved through a mixture of supernatural influence and very large amounts of money—

Construction planning finally began.

That was where another problem appeared.

Most modern architects immediately failed Inadu's standards.

The blueprints they proposed were efficient.

Modern.

Practical.

And completely unacceptable.

"This looks like a rich people's university."

The architect looked offended.

"Because it is a university."

"No."

Inadu pointed at the design.

"This looks new."

The architect blinked.

"Because it would be new."

"Exactly."

The poor man never understood what she meant.

After the fourth rejected design, even Jojo was beginning to lose patience.

Fortunately—

Freya had an idea.

The ancient witch possessed connections stretching back centuries.

Perhaps even millennia.

And among those connections was a rather unusual individual.

A vampire.

Not a warrior.

Not a politician.

Not a hunter.

An architect.

An immortal architect.

One who had spent centuries designing structures across Europe.

Castles.

Fortresses.

Cathedrals.

Noble estates.

Ancient universities.

Some of his works had become historical landmarks.

Others remained hidden.

Known only to supernatural society.

Several weeks later the vampire arrived.

His name was Alaric von Eisenhart.

Tall.

Elegant.

With silver hair and the permanent expression of a man judging every building he encountered.

His first reaction upon seeing the valley was silence.

Then—

He nodded.

"I approve."

Inadu immediately liked him.

Everyone else soon learned why.

Because Alaric treated architecture the same way artists treated masterpieces.

He spent days exploring the valley.

Weeks creating drafts.

Months refining them.

Eventually he presented the final design.

The room became silent.

Even Jojo looked impressed.

Because the school didn't resemble a school.

It resembled an ancient institution that had existed for centuries.

Massive stone towers.

Ancient courtyards.

Bridges spanning natural cliffs.

Libraries carved into mountainsides.

Training arenas hidden beneath the earth.

Dormitories designed like noble houses.

Gardens infused with magical protections.

Observatories overlooking entire valleys.

Everything looked ancient.

Timeless.

As if generations of supernatural beings had already studied there.

Inadu immediately stood.

Pointed at the blueprint.

"Build it."

Alaric smiled.

"There is more."

That got everyone's attention.

Because while Inadu had focused on appearance—

The ancient vampire had focused on survival.

The security plans alone filled several books.

Magical barriers created by Inadu and Freya.

Spirit detection systems provided through Jojo's contractors.

Emergency hellfire evacuation circles.

Hidden bunkers.

Anti-teleportation wards.

Anti-scrying enchantments.

Defensive golems.

Ancient vampire security protocols.

Even Jacob looked impressed.

"Planning for a war?"

Alaric calmly adjusted his glasses.

"No."

Everyone waited.

The ancient vampire looked around the room.

Then answered.

"I am planning for children."

Silence.

Then Jojo nodded.

Because somehow—

That explanation made perfect sense.

And thus, for the first time, the dream that had existed only in conversations and plans finally became real.

The blueprints were complete.

The land was secured.

The defenses were prepared.

And deep within the mountains surrounding Forks—

The future home of countless supernatural children was finally ready to be built.

Once the blueprints were finalized and approved, there was no longer any reason to delay.

Construction began almost immediately.

And it quickly became one of the largest projects the supernatural community around Forks had ever attempted.

The mountain valley that had remained untouched for centuries suddenly came alive.

Heavy machinery arrived first.

Followed by construction crews personally selected by Freya's contacts.

Most of them believed they were building an exclusive private academy for the children of wealthy families.

Only a handful knew the truth.

Even then, they knew only a fraction of it.

Massive roads were carved into the mountains.

Stone was transported from nearby quarries.

Ancient trees were carefully relocated rather than destroyed whenever possible.

Inadu had made that rule very clear.

"If anyone damages my valley unnecessarily, I'll turn them into a frog."

Nobody was entirely certain whether she was joking.

So nobody tested it.

The first structures to rise were the defensive walls.

Not because they were the most important.

But because Alaric insisted upon it.

"The foundation of any institution is security."

The ancient vampire personally inspected every stone.

Every support beam.

Every tower.

Several workers eventually nicknamed him "the Immortal Foreman."

A title he secretly enjoyed far more than he admitted.

Meanwhile, enormous magical circles were carved beneath the construction site.

Inadu and Freya spent months personally overseeing the process.

Wards.

Barriers.

Detection arrays.

Ancient protections that would make the school one of the safest locations in North America.

While the school slowly rose from the valley floor...

Life elsewhere refused to slow down.

Because monsters unfortunately did not care about construction schedules.

The DMC continued expanding.

What had once been a relatively small organization operating out of Forks gradually evolved into something much larger.

Much more professional.

Much more dangerous.

Jojo spent less and less time at home.

Not because he wanted to.

Because there was simply too much work.

Supernatural incidents increased every year.

Rogue spirits.

Dark witches.

Cursed artifacts.

Ancient creatures awakening after centuries of dormancy.

The list never ended.

As a result, Jojo began recruiting aggressively.

Former hunters.

Exorcists.

Witches.

Retired military personnel.

Supernatural investigators.

Even reformed vampires and werewolves.

The requirements remained simple.

Competence.

Loyalty.

And a willingness to protect people.

Within two years, the DMC had developed specialized divisions.

Investigation Units.

Rapid Response Teams.

Artifact Recovery Specialists.

Supernatural Research Departments.

Emergency Evacuation Squads.

Contractor Coordination Centers.

Even Charlie occasionally joked that the DMC was starting to resemble a government agency.

Jojo's response never changed.

"That's exactly what worries me."

The organization continued growing anyway.

One afternoon, while reviewing reports at DMC headquarters, Leah entered carrying an entire stack of folders.

She dropped them directly onto Jojo's desk.

The pile nearly collapsed.

Jojo stared at it.

Then at Leah.

Then back at the pile.

"What is this?"

"Today's problems."

Silence.

Jojo opened the first folder.

A haunted hospital in Oregon.

The second.

A cursed artifact recovered from Arizona.

The third.

Three missing hunters in Canada.

The fourth.

A lake monster.

Jojo slowly closed the folder.

Then looked at Leah.

"Why is there a lake monster?"

Leah shrugged.

"It exists."

"That doesn't answer my question."

"It answered mine."

Across the room, Alice nearly fell off her chair laughing.

Rosalie looked at the mountain of paperwork.

"Good luck."

Then immediately left.

A tactical retreat.

Meanwhile, the recruitment program continued producing results.

More contractors joined.

More field agents graduated.

More supernatural communities began cooperating with the DMC.

Even the Quileute tribe eventually established permanent communication channels with the organization.

For the first time in decades, the supernatural world around the Pacific Northwest was becoming organized.

And that organization attracted attention.

Some positive.

Some negative.

Far away, hidden forces began quietly monitoring the rise of the DMC.

The supernatural school.

The expanding contractor network.

And the mysterious figure standing behind all of it.

Jojo wasn't merely solving cases anymore.

Without realizing it—

He was becoming one of the most influential figures in the hidden supernatural world.
