"Shit! You motherfuc… get away from me." Even though Daichi was protected by Kei he was still exhausted and injured. And now fighting with so many undead he was slowly getting overwhelmed. Daichi wanted to ask Kenji and Ayase for help but noticing that their hands were full at the moment he swallowed back his words after all it was him who confidently proclaimed that he would take Kei with him safely.
"Haaaa", therefore with a war cry he lunged at the undead using his body as shield to tackle them down and started running but he still hasn't taken Kei in a comfortable position and running while fighting with your hands tied with that type of posture it wasn't a surprise that when he was attacked from the side because of his momentum fell down with Kei. Looking at the Skeleton soldiers forming a circle around him and noticing both Kenji and Ayase already getting close to the stairs and the undead they were dealing with coming towards them as well Daichi panicked he looked around in terror finally his eyes shined in determination and got up to ran but unexpectedly as he took a step his foot was grabbed by someone he looked down to see Kei with half closed eyes looking at him desperately and pleadingly said.
"Ple… please ta…ke me too!"
Looking at Kei like this Daichi hesitated and bent down but when he saw the circle, they were in becoming tighter and the number of undead soldiers kept increasing he stopped his movements closed his eyes for just a second looking at his actions Kei suddenly had a bad feeling but she didn't even has the strength to be awake let alone say something these few words already took a lot out of her the only reason she is awake was because of her willpower as she was running her brain nonstop Daichi finally said quackingly.
"Sorry!" After saying that he pushed his legs away and ran swiftly leaving Kei behind. Looking at Daichi's retreating back and looking at all the undead soldiers closing in on her she finally couldn't control herself and started wallowing in despair. Kei was a strong woman even though she has been through a lot she didn't want to die…not like this…alone and powerless.
She like others was also stressed when they came into this world but unlike others she didn't despair and because of her newfound powers she actually felt more secure and hence confident enough to face whatever come her way, obviously she also felt disgusted when she killed yesterday but because of her strong mentality she wasn't affected much but now facing her death and not able to do anything feeling the helplessness she felt many times before in her original world she couldn't help but give herself to her despair her hope to new life was shattered once again as she was again powerless to stop it. She closed her eyes waiting for her imminent death.
