Flying into the sky, Nick truly got a sense of what happened to Raccoon City; it made complete sense that they'd bomb it.
He didn't see a single uninfected person, but he did see thousands of man-eating monsters roaming around. It'd be too dangerous to manually clear the city of infected, not to mention there was a secondary reason the military wanted to bomb the city.
The reason this entire outbreak started was because Umbrella's lead scientist, William Birkin, was angry at Umbrella for his lack of promotions, so he turned to the military to sell the G and T virus. Umbrella caught on to this and stopped William.
This act of stopping him accidentally caused rats to consume some of the T virus and eventually infect the city's water source.
Destroying Raccoon City removed all of the infected while also destroying any evidence of Umbrella and goverment involvement, it was a three for one.
Nick understood this and knew he still had a few days before the bombing, if he was quick he should get what he need to do done in a day.
Before he even left for Raccoon City, Nick knew how he was going to proceed as Umbrella was a golden opportunity. With time his Absorption slots will changed and he'll lose certain powers, Umbrella had multiple means of permanently giving him ability that would stick regardless of absorption slot.
With some help of Micro, Nick was confident in obtaining both the virus and the vaccine quickly.
Flapping his wings to go behind the Police Department and over the dug-up road from City work, Nick spotted the gun store that appeared in the video game and landed before it.
Silently creaking the door open, Nick saw the place in disarray, people must've raided it immediately after they saw people eating each other.
After digging under a shelf, he found two 60-count boxes of bullets that fit his gun. The only problem was that Nick couldn't find a secondary magazine. Once he ran out of ammo in his gun, he'd have to manually reload his magazine each time. He decided on just taking a single case since he didn't see himself needing all the ammo anyway.
With his Echolocation, Nick heard the sound of crying and sniffling from the backroom of the gun store.
From his memory of the game, he had no doubt the shop owner was crying over his dead wife and soon-to-be-dead daughter that the player encounters in the game. Not wanting to draw the attention of the grieving man, Nick quickly left out the back entrance.
He continued walking until he saw scaffolding that led down. The city had dug up a large section of the road for some reason, but in doing so, opened an entrance to the sewers, which led to NEST.
Walking through the open sewer pipe, Nick was grateful that he switched out his Polar bear. Having that powerful of a smell would've been disastrous down here, so he'd have had to have turned it off.
His Echolocation was a much better form of sensing people, it might be a little less accurate when loud noises, but it worked 24/7. Nick's hearing was now around the level of Daredevil, when using Chi in conjuction with his two hearing abilities he greatly surpassed the Devil of Hell's Kitchen.
Walking into the foul-smelling pipe, Nick was internally shocked how game-like the pipe was. There was only one path forward, and the others were closed off by either rubble or sewer gates.
Turning down a pipe, Nick froze in shock. Sitting at the very end of this pipe was a large grate, but behind the grate was what had to be at least a 30ft alligator that had to weigh over ten tons!
Nick slowly crept over to it, expecting it to sense him and move, but even as he got close enough for it to see him, it remained still.
'Looks like that camouflage is still working; this might actually be a breeze.' If Nick could, he'd ideally absorb tbis creature. Unfortunately, he had already absorbed the Licker and there was a week-long cooldown after replacing a slot.
Walking to the left of the grate that held the alligator, Nick entered a maintenance room that, for whatever reason, had a typewriter. Exiting the maintenance room, Nick saw the back end of the alligator's tail. Not being able to go around the alligator, Nick had to use the ceiling.
Taking off his shoes and tying them to his wrist, Nick hopped up and touched the walls. The millions of tiny bristles sprouted out of his hand and hooked onto the concrete, he began crawling on the ceiling over the alligator and continued onwards.
Compared to the game, Nick had a breeze going through the sewers and into NEST. In the game, walls and doors were indestructible, and you had to acquire keys, keycards, chess pieces, etc.
In real life, if there was an industrial fan or elevator blocking Nick's path, he'd just destroy it or climb up. If he arrived at a sturdy steel door, he'd hit it with his Acid webbing to weaken it before pounding on the door with a heavy object.
After bashing open the locked door that required Nick to collect six different chess pieces located around the sewer and place them in a specific order to open it, he arrived at the cable car that would take him straight to NEST.
Of course, the cable car required an ID band to activate it, which was another ordeal in the game, but Nick also skipped that. With bristles on his hands, he began climbing down the sloped roof to NEST.
'Besides the G virus and Devil Vaccine, Umbrella has many other things i can get a hold of. Hopefully Micro can get through whatever cybersecurity this place has.'
Crawling down for over 15 minutes, Nick was surprised as he beginning to feel exhausted. Apparently wall climbing was very stamina draining, he'd long since switched off his Exosuit to save on battery power in case he needed to use his Antigravity Harness.
Thankfully after another 5 minutes of wall crawling, he spotted a lit-up platform at the bottom that spared him from his climbing.
With a quick leap, Nick landed on solid ground, his face couldnt contain its smiling as he knew he had finally entered the NEST base. He could now begin his search.
Walking down the platform stairs, Nick spotted canisters, crates, and pallets of resources needed to research Bioweapons. He ignored all of that as he spotted a blast door that guarded the path to his goal.
"If memory serves me right, this is a triple-layered blast door... This'll take me some time." With a flick of his wrist, a thick web of acid shot out of his hands and created a giant circle in the metal; immediately, it started corroding it.
If Nick learned one thing from his time in Raccoon City, it was that acid and super strength could bypass any steel lock this world had to offer!
