Chapter 929 - 929 One Piece: A Look at Marvel, The Fantastic Island of Gyojin, A Wedding Ring?, and The Nasty Celestial Dragon "Charlos Rosward"

Marvel

As had become customary, several girls from different worlds gathered in Allen's apartment living room to watch the live stream.

This time, MJ, Kara, Saya, Lucy, Amanda, and Rukia were present. Each of them came from a different world, with their own stories and pasts dating back to before they even met Allen. However, now they were all in the same place, sharing a moment.

They were all wearing comfortable house clothes and treated this place as if it were their own home. Of course, Allen himself had told them to do so, and none of them refused given their relationship with the womanizer.

"It's a relief that she's alive," said MJ.

In front of them, Allen's current adventure was being projected, where he had reached the Red Line and met the mermaid named Camie.

"Why wouldn't she be?" said Saya, raising an eyebrow without stopping her popcorn-eating.

MJ sighed. "There are supposed to be girls in the private group who send information about everything that can happen in each world. How does nobody read it?"

"I tried, but I got bored," said Amanda, hanging upside down from the couch.

"Sorry, as a lover of stories, I didn't want spoilers," said Lucy awkwardly.

"I forgot..." said Kara without a hint of shame.

"..." Rukia didn't even answer and avoided MJ's gaze.

"So, MJ, are you going to tell us or not?" said Saya.

MJ started getting angry. These girls had arrived later, and in terms of seniority, they should show her some respect. She could even be considered, if not the first, then the second wife.

"Whatever," said MJ, letting go of her annoyance. "As for that girl Camie, she's quite naive, so she always ends up in trouble. And as the starfish already said, they had been eaten by Sea Kings or captured many times."

"Yeah, and what's the problem?" asked Rukia.

"The thing is, in the original story, Hachi is the one who saves her half the time after he meets her."

"Hachi? Who's that?" asked Amanda.

"The octopus who intimidated Nami," said Saya disdainfully.

"I'm surprised you can remember that," said Lucy.

Saya puffed out her chest proudly. "Of course! I'm a genius!"

Lucy had a bead of sweat on her cheek, not knowing what to say.

"Ah, that bastard was only like that with humans, so it's not surprising that he'd help a mermaid," Amanda mocked. "Although I understand your point, Princess. Without that octopus, there would be no one to save Camie, right?"

"Exactly," said MJ with a smile as she watched Allen and his crew talk with the mermaid. "Although it seems her luck was just too good."

The Perla Negra set a course for Sabaody, and on the way they were able to learn a little more about Fish-Man Island at the bottom of the sea.

The island was the gateway to the New World, so it was a common stop for pirates. Normally, this should have been a cause for alarm, but it seemed everything was peaceful thanks to one of the Yonko, Whitebeard.

The world's strongest man had declared the place his territory, so pirates usually behaved themselves. No one was stupid enough to provoke a Yonko before even entering the New World.

Of course, there were always exceptions, but for those pirates who didn't know how to show respect, they had their local protector, the Knight of the Sea, Jinbe, a Shichibukai.

Another thing Camie talked about quite a bit was how little many people on Fish-Man Island knew about the surface world, largely because mermaids had always been targets for slave traders and pirates.

"That's why Fish-Men usually hate humans," said Perona casually.

Kaya immediately panicked and approached her to whisper that she should stop, but the girl who had just come aboard knew nothing about Arlong and his pirates' actions in the East Blue.

Her words also made Doll and Gion uncomfortable; after all, the largest slave auction house in the world was in Sabaody, near Marine Headquarters. Hina and Tashigi, for their part, frowned.

Many could say that Allen had manipulated them into hating the Marines, but there were simply things in this world that couldn't be justified, such as the ridiculous impunity the Celestial Dragons had to commit the most atrocious acts whenever and however they pleased.

Once the subject changed, Camie told them some things about mermaids. Despite being one herself, she had no restrictions preventing her from living on the surface aside from her inability to walk. However, the latter was only temporary, since mermaids' tails split when they turn thirty, allowing them to acquire legs.

There were some indiscreet questions from Uta, such as how mermaids had children, but this embarrassed Camie and earned Uta a scolding from the girls.

Another hour passed as the girls gave Camie a tour of the ship, showing her their cabins and telling her what they did.

Camie looked like a child in an amusement park.

....

"There it is!" exclaimed Camie as she looked at something in the distance.

Her shout made everyone come out from wherever they were to see what was happening. When they turned around, there were gasps of surprise.

Sabaody wasn't an ordinary island. It was made up of gigantic mangroves that stretched toward the sky, constantly releasing bubbles that gave the place a fantastical appearance.

"This is Sabaody..." said Allen.

Ever since his destiny in this world began, it hadn't been anything special, only a curse because of his appearance.

It was almost a miracle that he had survived this long, but here he was, at the gates of the New World, the place where kings competed for the top of the world.

"So, can we go shopping?~" asked Mikita, grabbing Allen's arm while giving him puppy-dog eyes.

"Hm? Of course," said Allen with a half-smile. "We don't know when we might return to Sabaody, so we might as well do some sightseeing."

"Allen-san, can we go, too?!" exclaimed Camie.

"We can't!" Pappag interrupted. "Camie, it's dangerous. You know we're forbidden from doing that!"

"It's true..." Camie became depressed.

"I understand that it's dangerous for a mermaid, but if she's with us, the situation is different, isn't it, Pappag?" said Allen.

Camie's eyes lit up, and she jumped up to hug Allen around the neck.

"Thank you!~" said Camie happily.

"Don't worry about it," said Allen.

Although everything seemed sincere, some of the girls narrowed their eyes, believing that Allen was doing it again and trying to conquer another pretty girl.

"Hey, Camie, I haven't given you permission yet!" Pappag complained angrily.

Camie looked at him as if he owed her money. "I'm your owner, you stingy starfish!"

A vein on Pappag's forehead seemed ready to burst. "And I'm your teacher, you brat!"

Camie wanted to go with all her heart, to the point that she became disobedient. Ever since she was little, the girl had watched Sabaody from the sea. It was especially beautiful at night when the lights illuminated the place.

Allen could feel Camie's determination, as if this were her only chance in life to see Sabaody, and perhaps it really was. He also understood Pappag's thoughts, as he was only worried about her.

Allen held Camie by the waist. "Pappag, you can trust me. I promise no one will hurt Camie. They'll even have to kill me before they can lay a finger on her."

Pappag was left in shock. He could feel in his body and soul that Allen's words were not an empty promise.

"Wonderful!~" said Kaya with heart-shaped eyes.

"Master~" said Mikita with flushed cheeks.

Several more girls felt embarrassed, while others clicked their tongues when they saw the naive Camie gazing at Allen in fascination.

[Another one for the list... We're getting to the point where you might need to control yourself, haha. Or whatever, just have a hundred children and let them fight over the world when you die!]

'Hey, stop saying such macabre things!' thought Allen.

"Ugh," Pappag sighed. "After such a sincere declaration, I can only accept."

"Yay!" Camie was so happy that she hugged Allen even tighter. However, she soon blushed even more and pulled away. She didn't know why, but her chest was pounding, and she was unable to look at Allen.

"Well, I suppose we should disguise ourselves, right, Captain?" said Nami with a smile that wasn't really a smile.

Allen knew that his actions might have caused the naive Camie to develop a slight crush on him, but it had been necessary, or Pappag wouldn't have easily agreed to let Camie accompany them.

"Nami, there's no need to disguise ourselves. I have something that should be very useful." Allen reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of rings. "These rings allow you to change the color of your hair."

"Really?!" exclaimed Perona. She liked cute accessories, and the fact that they had a function made them even better.

"Of course," Allen smiled. "Take one."

"Thanks—" Perona froze. For a moment, she had forgotten that they were supposed to be enemies and that this guy had kidnapped her. Well, Nami had been the one to do it because this guy was her captain, so he still carried part of the blame.

"Do you still hate me?"

Allen's smile became mischievous. Perona looked away and snorted, but she still took one of the rings.

Allen was about to make another comment, but he stopped when he saw a black aura beginning to emanate from Nami and Kaya.

"Incredible, horo horo horo!" Perona laughed. Her previously pink hair had turned violet.

"They really work?" said Kalifa, adjusting her glasses.

"Of course. Did you think I was lying?" Allen asked, raising an eyebrow.

Kalifa nodded seriously. "Coming from a man like you, it's to be expected that this is some sort of tactic to seduce an innocent girl."

Allen smiled mockingly. "Oh? Who was offering herself to whom when we first met?"

Kalifa became embarrassed as the other girls looked at her. "That was for work... Don't get confused."

"How cute," said Allen.

"That's harassment!" said Kalifa before stepping forward and snatching a ring. She then put it on, and her blonde hair turned light green.

Kalifa touched her hair curiously.

"Me too!" said Mikita. She took a ring, but the girl looked at Allen flirtatiously as she put it on her left ring finger. She then approached and kissed Allen on the cheek. "Thanks for the ring, Captain ❤️~."

She earned the disdainful looks of the women present, but far from being intimidated, Mikita teased them.

Uta also stepped forward, but she didn't take a ring. Instead, she held out her hand so Allen could put it on for her.

"Hey..." said Allen.

"What?"

Allen shook his head before teaching the girl a lesson. He took the ring and Uta's hand and placed it on her ring finger. Immediately, her two-toned hair became completely red.

"...!" Uta's eyes widened in disbelief. She had wanted to play a joke, but she had underestimated the new Allen.

Allen leaned toward Uta's ear. "Naughty girl, don't underestimate me."

Uta blushed and ran to her room. This made everyone look at Allen with respect, because only the captain could make "that" Uta behave like a maiden.

"Does anyone else want me to put a ring on them?"

No one answered.

This surprised Vivi, who whispered to Kaya beside her, since Kaya's devotion and feelings toward her captain were well known.

"Are you not going to take advantage of this?" asked Vivi.

Kaya blinked in surprise before laughing. "It wouldn't feel right now. I'll wait for a real one~."

Vivi choked on her words. She had been wrong about Kaya. She was even more terrifying than Uta.

After a while, all the girls laughed as they looked at their new appearances.

Nami chose navy blue, while Vivi chose orange, making both girls laugh.

Nojiko turned her hair black. When asked about it, she said she was curious to know what she looked like that way. Combined with her tattoos, it made her look like a tough and cool girl. Doll secretly admired Nojiko's style.

Hina chose black hair, Tashigi dyed her hair brown, Conis dyed hers pink, Kaya turned hers pastel blue, Gion used a ring and turned her hair blonde, and Doll didn't want to do it. Allen could have forced her, but he didn't. He allowed her to keep her normal hair.

Allen himself chose black hair, something that undoubtedly caught the girls' attention. It suited him so naturally that if they had never seen Allen with his normal white hair, they would have thought black was his natural color.

Finally...

Robin turned her hair white and smiled faintly. Allen, knowing the reason, approached her and embraced her.

"I never had the honor of meeting her, but I know you were just as beautiful as your mother," said Allen.

"Thank you." Robin smiled with teary eyes and hugged him.

....

The Perla Negra passed through the other ships and approached Sabaody. As expected, they didn't attract any attention. To everyone, this was simply a very large and ostentatious noble ship.

Sabaody wasn't technically an island. It was made up of 79 mangroves, which were like small islands one after another.

"Captain, where will we disembark?" asked Nami, looking at Allen beside her.

Allen observed the mangroves, which looked like enormous trees, each one marked with a number.

Hina had already explained some things about Sabaody to them.

The Government and Tourist Areas were from Grove 30 to 79. They contained shops, hotels, the amusement park, and a Marine military base in Grove 66. Criminals and pirates usually avoided causing visible trouble here so they wouldn't alert the soldiers.

The Lawless Zone was from Grove 1 to 29.

In absolute contrast, this sector had no Marine surveillance. It was entirely controlled by bounty hunters, mafias, and slave traders. It was an extremely dangerous place where the World Government simply chose to look the other way.

Allen turned to look at Camie, Kaya, Mikita, Vivi, Conis, Perona, and even Uta, who were excited about going shopping and relaxing, so he shook his head.

"For today, we're going to the tourist area. Seeing the Lawless Zone seems like something that would only put us in a bad mood."

Nami nodded. However, she understood that sooner or later Allen would go to the Lawless Zone, but for now, he only wanted to relax.

"..."

The girl laughed, but she didn't notice the cold glint that briefly flashed in Allen's eyes.

....

At that very moment, somewhere else in Sabaody, a congregation of government agents, knights, and three chained women followed an obese and ugly man who was riding on a slave.

"Move faster!" grunted the fat man as he whipped his mount.

His clothes were white, and he wore a bubble helmet, as though simply breathing the same air as everyone else made him nauseous.

The people around him were kneeling. They didn't dare even look at him for fear of provoking his anger.

"Hey, what time is the auction?" asked the arrogant fat man.

"Saint Charlos, the auction will be in a few hours."

Charlos's face filled with anticipation. He hoped to acquire some good slaves, especially a new "mount," since his current one was already worn out.

"Then I have time to find another wife. I'm already getting bored with the current ones," said Charlos, making the three women tremble in fear, because they knew what would happen once they were no longer wanted.

"As you command," the government agent smiled.

This was normal. Any Celestial Dragon had absolute power over the lives of everyone. It didn't matter if they were nobles, kings, or princesses. As long as they weren't part of the twenty founding kingdoms, they could become slaves and toys for them.

The world was twisted to that degree. This was the world's common sense, and these were the World Nobles.
