In the end, Allen and his group disembarked at Grove 42 in the "safe" zone.
The moment the Black Pearl touched land, something in the atmosphere changed. It was subtle, but something had begun to move.
The Black Pearl would be left unattended. It wasn't necessary to guard it since it was in a protected area, and because no one else could sail it.
The group, now wearing new clothes and disguises, got off the ship and walked toward a populated area.
As for Camie, Allen bought a wheelchair from a store and covered her tail with a blanket, a simple method to hide the fact that she was a mermaid.
On the way, everyone was fascinated by Sabaody.
The ground was green and fresh, with the feeling of newly grown grass, and now and then enormous bubbles emerged from it.
"Oh, Allen, look at this!" Uta exclaimed happily as she stuck her hand into a bubble. "What an incredible thing..."
"Are you a child?" Perona teased, though she herself was holding a bubble with the clear intention of keeping it.
"Who are you to talk?" Mikita smiled.
Kaya and Vivi also grabbed a bubble to play with, while Robin took one to analyze it.
"It's interesting. It doesn't burst even when its surface is punctured... I don't understand why," Robin said.
"It's because of Sabaody's unique atmosphere," Gion explained. "However, once the bubbles rise too high, they burst, so the special thing isn't the bubble itself, but Sabaody as a whole."
"I see," Nami said.
Kaya Perona and Viví were disappointed to learn that they couldn't take any bubbles home as souvenirs.
When they reached a populated area, they found themselves surrounded by buildings and streets packed with people. It was only natural, since the seven routes available to reach the New World all ended at Sabaody.
Another thing they noticed was the strange vehicles. They seemed designed to work together with the bubbles, almost as if someone had added a seat and pedals to a bubble.
"Another strange vehicle," Allen sighed.
"Well, at least Dials can be used in other places," Conis said awkwardly.
Allen patted the winged girl's head while laughing. "I wasn't talking about Skypiea, Conis. You know, in Water 7 there were these things called Yagara Bulls, which were basically giant seahorses that carried boats."
Kalifa snorted. "Yagara Bulls can be used in any sea. You need to know how to raise them."
"Oh, I didn't know that despite only living there for a mission, you developed some kind of attachment to the place," Mikita teased while covering her mouth.
"Hmph," Kalifa pouted slightly.
Doll frowned. She could hardly believe it, but little by little, a CP agent was getting along with pirates—not just any pirates, but the crew of the infamous Allen Walker.
"They're Bon Chari," Gion said with a smile. "It's everyone's favorite and most practical way to travel between the mangroves."
"Bon Chari? What a cute name~" Perona said with a smile. "I want to ride one!"
"Of course," Allen smiled.
He narrowed his eyes before walking in a certain direction. The girls didn't ask any questions and followed him.
They arrived at a shop literally called Bon Chari that rented these vehicles. Some were made for three or four people, others for couples, and of course, there were individual models.
"It'll be 500 Berries to rent one, and if you buy one, it'll cost you 1,000 Berries. Cheap, right?" the salesman said with a sly smile.
"Don't even think about buying them. They're useless without bubbles, and those only exist in Sabaody and Fish-Man Island," Doll said irritably. "Hey, are you trying to scam us?!"
Despite not wearing her uniform, the woman was still a Marine Vice Admiral and wasn't going to let such an outrageous scam slide.
"I'm sorry!" the man shouted in terror. "I didn't know I was dealing with someone from here!"
Mikita, Perona, and Uta were annoyed by the attempted scam and asked for permission to destroy the shop, but Allen stopped them. Instead, he offered the man a deal he couldn't refuse.
A 100 percent discount!
....
"Well, I always appreciate free stuff," Allen said with a laugh.
Everyone was riding Bon Chari of different sizes.
"It's fluffy~" Perona said.
"I'm glad you're smiling, Perona," Allen said.
"Yes, horo horo horo!" Perona was delighted.
The girl loved cute things, but her expression froze when she realized what she was doing, and she surrounded herself with Ghosts while looking at Allen like an enemy.
Allen sighed. "How long are you going to keep this up?"
"Shut up! Don't say it like I'm some child throwing a tantrum!" Perona shouted, puffing out her cheeks, though this only made Allen smile.
The fact that Perona was talking to him, even if it was only to insult him, was a good sign that she didn't completely hate or fear him.
[Allen: "That's it. Take the bait. This is how it starts. Soon you'll be in the palm of my perverted claws. Muahaha."]
'Don't put thoughts in my head that I don't have, Lenalee.'
[I'm sure you think that way deep down.]
'What do you think I am?'
[A womanizer who refuses to admit he's a womanizer, so he looks for the most complicated ways to win girls over instead of being direct.]
'For your information, that's... no longer true. I'm trying, you know that.'
[Sure. Tell me that again when you can finally call one of them your girlfriend.]
'...' Allen was left speechless.
How did teasing Perona a little turn into a scolding from Lenalee?!
....
The group traveled through the streets on their Bon Chari and headed toward Grove 35.
"Incredible..." Conis said as she looked upward.
Large buildings rose everywhere.
"It looks like it's full of hotels," Robin said with a smile. "Should we find one to stay at?~"
"I don't want to," Mikita said without hesitation. "There isn't a bed more comfortable than my 'Cleopatra Queen Size.' If there were a more comfortable bed, it would only be my captain's~."
"She's at it again..." Kaya said with an indifferent look.
"Kaya, relax. You know what Mikita-san is like," Vivi said.
She was riding the same Bon Chari as Kaya and was a little frightened because although Kaya was usually sweet most of the time, every now and then she showed a darker side, whether from anger or jealousy.
"Maybe not for the comfort, but what about the experience?" Hina said while looking at the circular buildings.
"I wonder how they make such large and perfect circular buildings," Nami said curiously.
"Making hotels isn't that difficult. Look," Pappag said.
Up above, a group of workers was coating a huge bubble with a concrete-and-metal solution.
"I see. They even do that with the bubbles," Nojiko said.
"Oh!" Uta exclaimed, drawing everyone's attention.
She was standing in front of a stall selling buns, all of them themed after Sabaody.
"..." Several girls turned to look at Allen.
Allen smiled awkwardly, realizing his wallet was in danger, so he acted quickly. "Wait, if I remember correctly, all of you received a pretty good reward. Why are you looking at me like that?"
From the money they received in Water 7, Allen had given each of them around ten million Berries. Besides, they should already have plenty of money from Skypiea, since Allen paid for all the ship's expenses.
"You don't understand," Nami sighed as she grabbed his right arm.
"That's right," Uta said as she grabbed Allen's left arm.
Almost in unison, both girls spoke.
"Sweets taste better when they're a gift!"
[Wow, they're not even your girlfriends yet, and they're already spending your money. I like these girls, hahaha!]
'Ugh...'
The girls loved sweets; that was an absolute truth. So, surrounded by women, Allen ended up buying almost a hundred boxes, making the owner very happy but his wallet very sad.
Allen usually invests 99.99% of all his money into his strength, so he doesn't actually have that much personal money.
After taking advantage of Allen, the girls showed that they wanted to spend time with him; some even wanted to go alone to have a date, so they decided to take turns starting tomorrow. After all, they would be staying in Sabaody for a while since coating a ship wasn't something that could be done in a single day.
For today, Allen formed a group to explore Sabaody that included Camie, Pappag, Nami, Robin, and Doll. The latter didn't want to accompany Allen, but her only options were to go with him or with Uta, since only the two of them could stop her if she tried anything.
In the end, Doll preferred to go with Allen and leave Gion with Uta. That girl was difficult for Doll to deal with.
Allen took a six-person Bon Chari, helped Camie get in, and sat down next to her. Nami would be driving it, and she didn't complain because she was curious to try it.
The Allen's group headed toward Grove 30, but before they could pass through Grove 31, they ran into trouble.
A group of thieves attempted to rob them.
"Stop and give me everything you've got!" the leader shouted.
"This is strange. Normally, this trash never gets past Grove 29..." Doll muttered.
Grove 31 was a protected area, but it was true that it was close to the lawless area, so there was always a risk that some criminal wouldn't know the boundaries.
"He must have taken advantage of the fact that there aren't many people around here," Robin said.
Grove 31 had a population, but it was concentrated at the base of the mangrove. The rest of the island had very few people.
"Shut up and give me your money, or I'll kill you!" the man shouted, pointing his gun at them.
The man looked desperate, as if he needed money and it was a matter of life or death.
"Damn it! Don't underestimate me!"
Several beautiful girls showed no fear, and a young man simply lay back on the Bon Chari with his arms behind his head.
"And you, don't ignore me, bastard!"
The moment the man pointed his gun at Allen, his fate was sealed. Two arms sprouted from his body and broke his arm, while a bolt of lightning pierced him mercilessly, electrocuting him.
The charred man opened his mouth, and smoke escaped from it before he fell to the ground, never breathing again.
Several witnesses were frightened, but that was it.
....
*Grove 30*
Upon reaching their destination, Allen's group was surprised by what they saw in the distance.
This place was special in Sabaody because it was home to Sabaody Park, the most famous amusement park in Paradise.
"Sabaody Park..." Camie was amazed.
"Do you admire this place, Camie?" Allen asked while relaxing in the Bon Chari.
"Yes! I've always wanted to come here! Thank you for bringing me!" Camie said with a smile.
Although Pappag had his complaints and knew how dangerous it was for a mermaid to be in this place, he was happy to see Camie like this. Still, he knew that it was all thanks to Allen Walker.
'I suppose it's fine,' Pappag thought optimistically.
The starfish didn't know Allen's true power, but to him, Allen Walker protecting Camie was equivalent to having a Yonko's First Commander like Marco of the Whitebeard Pirates protect her.
Robin and Nami exchanged smiling glances when they saw this.
"I'm finally here..." Camie murmured.
She had been dazzled by this park more than once when she was little, but she knew that under normal circumstances, she would never be able to come here, so she was incredibly happy.
"Don't worry," Allen said, drawing the girl's attention. "In the future, you can come here as many times as you want without having to hide that you're a mermaid. I promise."
Camie fell silent as her eyes widened in surprise. Then, a beautiful smile appeared on her face.
"Yes!"
The entrance fee was relatively cheap, and once they were inside, they forgot about everything else.
The attractions in the park were what one would expect, but bubbles had been incorporated into their construction, such as the Ferris wheel, whose cabins were made of bubbles.
On the roller coaster, Nami screamed in fear while Robin laughed. The girl was a goddess of lightning, but she was still the same as always.
At the souvenir shop, Nami bought many things, including trinkets that were purely decorative.
At the skill games, Allen won stuffed animals for all the girls except Pappag, who became depressed, but Allen forced him to play and win one himself.
The woman running the shooting gallery was stunned to see a talking starfish but remained professional.
Pappag took a dozen tries to win a starfish keychain, but he smiled with satisfaction when he finally got one.
They went on the spinning rides, where Camie became dizzy from all the spinning.
In the haunted house, Nami got scared and clung to Allen while he laughed.
At a restaurant, they ate Sabaody Park-themed food, although Allen and Nami complained to the manager that it was far too expensive.
There was a small concert inside Sabaody Park, which they enjoyed while taking pictures with the Vision Dial.
They spent almost two hours at Sabaody Park before ending up on the Ferris wheel, where Allen rode with Camie.
"Thank you so much!" Camie said.
"Don't worry about it," Allen laughed. "But remember, you'll have to repay me by giving me a tour of Fish-Man Island. Introduce me to some pretty mermaids."
"No..." Camie answered.
Allen fell silent, not understanding why the girl had responded to his joke so bluntly.
Camie looked at him in silence, her eyes reflecting seriousness.
"Am I not pretty enough?" Camie asked.
Allen smiled. "My apologies. You're right. I already have a pretty mermaid to accompany me on Fish-Man Island."
Camie felt satisfied, but quickly realized what she had just said and turned completely red.
From the ground, Nami and Robin had indifferent expressions as they looked at the Ferris wheel.
"Do you think he's done it already?" Robin asked.
"Yes..." Nami answered.
Pappag looked at both girls in confusion, while Doll sighed with a hand over her forehead.
A little farther away from them, a pink bear was staring at the Ferris wheel like a statue. His intentions were clearly not good.
After getting off the Ferris wheel, Allen's group left Sabaody Park and decided to reunite with the others, but something caught their attention. A fight was taking place in Grove 29.
As soon as Allen used his Observation Haki, his eyes widened when he saw a familiar face.
....
"Gomu Gomu no Pistol!" Luffy shouted as he punched a bounty hunter.
"Oni Giri!" Zoro shouted as he cut down several enemies.
"Collier!" Sanji shouted as he kicked an enemy in the neck.
"Oh, he's gotten stronger," Allen chuckled as he watched Luffy's crew fight.
"Strong Left!" Franky exclaimed.
Allen recognized this man. He was Cutty Flam, Iceburg's friend and the man who had guarded the blueprints for Pluton until Iceburg destroyed them.
"So he joined Luffy's pirates..." Allen said.
His gaze shifted to the rear, where Usopp stood alongside a raccoon wearing a hat, a skeleton, and Carina.
"Yuck, it's Carina!" Nami said venomously before grabbing Allen's hand. "Don't even think about it!"
"...?"
"Don't give me that clueless look. I don't care too much about the fact that you brought Marine girls aboard, but Carina is off-limits, understood?!" Nami said like a jealous girlfriend.
"Relax, I'm not going to steal the Pirate King's navigator," Allen laughed.
[We'll see about that -_-]
Allen turned his attention back to the Straw Hat Pirates and smiled before thinking of something.
"How about I put them to the test?"
Before the girls could react, Allen disappeared.
....
"Gomu Gomu no—"
A black-haired stranger appeared in front of Luffy. Without giving any reason or warning, he grabbed him by the face and slammed him into the ground.
"Ugh!"
"Luffy!" Zoro shouted as he grabbed his sword and attacked without hesitation. "108 Pound Phoenix!"
A slash traveled through the air toward Allen. He smiled before lifting Luffy and using him as a shield.
"Ahh!" Luffy screamed as he took Zoro's attack to the back.
"Dammit!" Zoro shouted.
"Hey, hey, you should be careful when attacking someone with a hostage," Allen said mockingly.
Everyone in Luffy's crew went on alert as they realized that this opponent was no ordinary bounty hunter.
"What? Aren't you going to attack?" Allen taunted.
"Let me go!" Luffy shouted and tried to bite Allen's hand. Allen threw him toward his group, where Sanji caught him.
"This guy is strong! Guys, let's go all out!" Luffy growled. He then placed his fist against the ground, and his body began to emit steam as his skin turned red. "Gear... Second!"
"Oh..." Allen smiled. "Then come on, Pirate King!"
