Chapter 236 - Austin Vs. Scathach 2

The two of them continued fighting like mad beasts, showing different kinds of techniques and skills that would put any master to shame.

A punch from here and kick from there spreading destruction everywhere the eyes could see.

It was complete chaos!

With both of them smiling and grinning dangerously at each other as their fight intensified before suddenly—

It came to a halt.

Both stood in front of each other without saying a word as Scathach's glowing crimson eyes scanned Austin intensely while he also did the same waiting for what was coming next.

"That was good. You have a 'good' foundation and sufficient skills supported by experience, but you still need to work on your poses and techniques some more." She said with an analytical tone fitting for a teacher who had trained legends.

"Quite the words coming from a master. I appreciate it." He said with a casual tone laced with a hint of sarcasm.

But Scathach didn't look angry or frustrated with his tone, quite the opposite, she grinned like a madwoman!

"Oh dear you're still young, a little flower that isn't ready to bloom, yet~" She countered with her own but Austin didn't flinch.

He just sighed. "Okay drop it, there is a reason why I summoned you here."

"Which is?" She arched an eyebrow.

"I want you to train me and my wives." He said straight to the point which made Scathach a little confused before she smiled again but this time it wasn't a mad and wild smile but a one filled with allure and poison.

"Why would I do that?"

"Oh you will."

"How? Force me? Many tried before but all perished under my feet. You are not the first to do it and certainly not the last." She said with a hint of challenge mixed with amusement.

No one could force her, Scathach, the legendary scottish warrior and the queen of the land of shadows to do anything. She is the master of her choices.

But she must admit that Austin was beyond anyone she had ever seen, not even those disciples she trained ages ago could be on par with him in term of potential and talent.

He was a monster on his own right, just to be able to reach such a level without relying on a master was a proof of that as she could tell that no one had trained him. Her eyes never lied and her experience and instincts assured her of that.

And here is the point, she did want to train him and see how far he would reach, but first, she wanted to see, his resolve and will to stand against those stronger than him no matter the situation.

His ability to challenge and continue moving forward.

And regarding his request to train his wives, she left it for later. Not requiring her attention for now.

"Then let me prove it to you, how I will make you agree." Austin said knowing that Scathach wasn't someone easy.

She had vast experience, richer than his own and could overpower him if she wanted to as he knew that she was still holding back.

Yes, he was physically stronger than her, his mana so vast and deep like an abyss, combined with a great mastery and control over mana particles that with just a thought he could blow up this planet if he wanted.

But in term of experience, he still lacked so much that if he compared himself to a being of the same power but richer experience, he would surly lose.

He knew that well, that's why he summoned her. And to make her agree to his request, he would have to prove her that he was different from those she had encountered in the past.

And that's through a battle with your life on the line.

Scathach looked at his eyes, that were so beautiful and mesmerizing attracting you in like magnet, and saw it, the spirit of someone ready to put down his life to achieve whatever he wanted, no matter the way.

"Hahahaha that's good, then show me—" as she said so, a long crimson spear appeared in her right hand—Gàe Bolg—as she exuded a very deadly and highly dangerous aura. "How will you make me agree~?"

In a flash, she moved with the spear head aimed at his heart.

Swoosh!!

Fortunately, Austin was ready and dodged making a distance between them before he took out his sword from the inventory, the sword that was given to him by one of his wives.

Then vanished from his spot.

CLANG!

Spear met sword creating sparks that flew everywhere, then they attacked each other again.

Scathach with grandmaster spear techniques showed a very powerful yet deadly style that aimed at all of Austin's vitals with every thrust carrying the intent to kill and penetrate him. She was ruthless and decisive, not showing any bit of hesitation.

At the same time, Austin showed his own created style and grandmaster sword techniques parrying her attacks with no wasted movements and clear intent.

He showed no hesitation at all and attacked with the intent to cut her in two.

CLANG!

BOOOOM!!

CLANG!!

Sparks flied everywhere as they moved with insane speed creating a very astonishing dance that was both deadly and destructive not caring about the surroundings at all.

The backyard was all a mess, a pure chaos with deep craters everywhere, but neither stopped nor rested, they rather continued fighting each other to no end.

Scathach at the same time was so glad and happy which made her increase the pace of her attacks even more and deliver some strikes that made Austin unable to attack but block or dodge instead, her experience and sharpness outweighed him but he didn't give up and used his dragonic eyes, heightened senses, and powerful physic to predict her attacks, next moves, and counter compensating for his lack of experience which balanced the scale.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The intensity increased even more as the crimson glow in Scathach's eyes was so deep making her look like a crazy yandere or something, but Austin never cared about that and continued fighting and attacking delivering deadly strikes to her face, neck, feet tendons, kidneys, and liver making her dodge and parry from impossible angles.

She suddenly thrusted her spear forward in a deadly strike aiming for his head before Austin dodged and slide his sword along the surface of her spear shaft creating sparks aiming directly at her neck but she used her footwork to move aside and dodge before twirling her spear and attacked horizontally at his neck which he managed to dodged by hair breadth making the sharp tip graze his neck.

But then, he didn't step back and rather ducked a little and moved like a viper making a diagonal attack from her down-left to upper-right which took her off guard as the way he moved was so unusual and never seen before which managed to make a good diagonal wound on her cutting her skin tight suit and draw blood out of her smooth white and milky skin.

She didn't look shocked nor cried in pain, she rather smiled wildly showing her white sharp teeth creating a dangerous yet beautiful picture.

"That's the spirit! Give me more!" As she said so, she moved again like a maniac delivering several slashes in less than a second injuring Austin in the process as they came from angles that were very hard to counter or dodge.

Blood came out from his left side before staring at her with deep seriousness then flashed again.

Although using his mana and magic spells would overpower Scathach easily, he wanted to see how far he could go in martial arts and swordsmanship against a monster like her.

And he could see that her experience did a huge difference despite being a grandmaster like her.

The gap was simply....huge.

As the battle raged on and the clashes got stronger and faster, Scathach suddenly stopped making Austin halt his movements and attacks and stop as well.

Both were slightly panting with sweat running down their faces. Although neither used their full strength, they still fought with full intent and concentration fighting in a very high pace. Still it was slightly, not to the point to make them really tired. They still could go on for days!

Scathach with runic magic could restore her energy very quickly and Austin with his dragon heart acting like a sustainable engine pulsing power to all his veins constantly.

"That's enough or we will destroy the whole place to pieces like that." She said as she gave a swift glance to the area around them.

And Austin nodded agreeing with her as he too didn't want to destroy the place further. And better fix it or else, his wives would punish him dearly. He didn't want that.

"About my request?"

"Sigh, I accept." She sighed as she said with a satisfied smile looking at him with those crimson eyes that gave Austin a strange feeling.

'Maybe this time...'
