"Tell me, is your husband delicious or not?"
"Delicious, delicious, even more delicious than the Roast Deer Tendon from Imperial Cuisine."
"Then do you want to eat?"
"I do, I do, I do! I'm dying to!"
The man pulled her up, smoothed her tousled hair, and gave her a light peck on her lips.
"I'll go order takeout for you. Once you're full, you can savour me."
Saying so, he rose to fetch his phone.
"Order from somewhere nearby, or we'll have to wait ages. I'm already starving." Vera Wave took a card from the table and handed it to him. "Isla Hawskin gave this to me. It's for the home-style restaurant downstairs."
Kris Cooper frowned, then picked up his phone, dialed the number, and ordered several of her favorite dishes.
"Deliver it within half an hour, and I'll pay double."
After hanging up, he turned to see Vera Wave eating rice from the box with chopsticks. He quickly walked over to check the temperature. Confirming the rice was still warm, he didn't stop her.
